Crimson Whispers One of the main reasons NaruHina fans support it is because Hinata 'deserves' Naruto. I hear that one a lot. Or it's cute. NaruHina being cute has become one of the definitions for the pairing.
Since Hinata acklowledged Naruto first, and since she's such a sweet girl and seems very caring and to really like Naruto, that's why people say she deserves him.

Well, besides 'opposites attract' I like to use another term: 'balance'.
Naruto is loud, hyperactive and wild. On the other hand, Hinata is shy, gentle and quiet. Hinata has no confidence whatsoever in herself but thanks to Naruto's help, she was able to gain some. Naruto helped Hinata be strong and to believe in herself. I think Hinata helped Naruto be more gentle and to notice her more. I think he understood the way Hinata viewed him and aknowledged that in his own way, though he's still oblivious of the real reason and about her feelings.
Where I'm getting is that to me, Naruto and Hinata can counterweight each other. Each has something that the other character doesn't and can gain by being with said character.
I hope I've made sense ._.

I don't understand NaruHina reasonings all together.
'Opposites attract', 'yin and yang balance', 'she deserves him', 'he will get over Sakura', so and and so forth...
I really dislike yin and yang used for Naruto and Hinata. It just...eh.
Doesn't work?
But that's not for me to say right now. ^^ I don't wanna start a NaruHina debate. XD

Balance?
I don't believe two people can balence out each other.Well, Naruto&Hinata aren't people at all.Naruto dosn't need Hinata to complete himself.He's mighty perfect the way he is, and Hinata is good the way she is.All she really wanted was self-confidence, and she looked to Naruto as an idol.She was just so inspired by his undying will to never give up.
"Oppsites attract" isn't the only thing that's good for a relationship."Similars attract" is just as good as the "oppsites attract" concept."Oppsites attract" isn't the better of the two, and it isn't the only concept that works.Stability comes from eachother's needs, not what they lack.No one, not even anime characters, are completly oppsite, or completly similar.
Personally, people prefer their partner's to be similar to them.Take a person who absloutly love's clibming moutains, and a person who is absloutly afraid of heights.I wouldn't want to bring them up on a moutain together, and they would have to change to balence each other's need.Why should someone have to change for someone else?No matter how much you love someone, you should never have to change for them.I go by "take it or leave it".Two differences don't make a strength, nor dose it balance out a person.
Each person is entirly different.People prefer differnt people, weither they be oppsite, or similar to them.So the Yin&Yang,Moon&Sun,Night&Day, concepts is just a load of bull.<---- It all has to do with the course of nature, not people.You don't need someone completly oppsite of you to make a good relationship, or to belance yourself out.

Did I start a NaruHina vs NaruSaku debate? o_o; Sumimasen...
Although I do totally agree with Stormy. (: If you're too different (Which I consider Naruto and Hinata to be - personality wise. With someone as dense as Naruto you'd need someone as brash as Sakura, if only to make him pay attention to things outside of the obvious), you just can't make a relationship work. I've tried it and sadly, you both end up getting hurt.
HOWEVER, the same thing goes for people who are too alike. If there are too many similarities, you can't balance your partner out. Love is such a touch and go thing - trying to say one theory works is ridiculous, because humans are far from perfect beings themselves. ^^

Okay. >_< So it's as finished as I want it to be. I tried to counter the whole Opposites Attract thing, but man - was it difficult. Only because it's a matter of personal preference more than anything.
And thanks so much to everyone who's put up with my constant whining about my site. ^^; I haven't made a fansite for something in so long that I'm really nervous about it, but your encouragement really helps. heart
