Well I had heard some of their stuff when I was little and watched Wayne's World where Jim was featured but I didn't know who he was or anything, but one morning I was watching "Rock Fest" on VH1 Classic and "Hello, I Love You" came on and I was all "OMFGWTFBBQ THIS IS TEH SMECKS!!!111one" and then later that day I was watching "The Drug Years" and Ray was talking about when they were on Ed Sullivan and they wanted them to change the word "higher" in "Light My Fire" and showed the clip and I was like " eek heart " . So then I looked through my mom's cds and records and totally rocked out for a while, and put their greatest hits cd (the double disc one from like, 1987) on my iPod and now I listen to them every day. <3

xD When I first heard Riders on the Storm (I'd never listened to the doors before, mind you), I was listening to it on the radio, and I thought that Jim was singing: 'Writers on the stone, writers on the stone'. I thought that was a pretty sweet song rofl

all of my friends listen to classic rock(including the doors), so i naturally started to listen to what they listened to. They also helped get me into Zeppelin, The beatles, Hendrix, and Kansas

They also helped get me into Zeppelin, The beatles, Hendrix, and Kansas You have good friends, lol. I have good friends too, but I sometimes question their musical taste. If I listened to what my friends listen to... I'd be listening to All American Rejects, or Fall Out Boy... or crying Panic at the Disco... eek
lol, but I was already instilled with a superior taste in music, so, I'm set for life, hahahaha. heart heart heart

Yeah it was actually my cousin who got me into classic rock music in general by immersing me in Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath mainly but also heavy Hendrix and everything XD. He would come over play the music Cd and play some on guitar. Eventually I started listening to a lot more classic rock stuff and stumbled upon the Doors ^^

__zo-.LED.ZEPPELIN.-so__ RockerT LedZeppelinGirl My dad sort of listed off a bunch of songs I should listen to, and it's grown into a deep love for them. When I first read this, I thought you meant: How did you get into the Doors guild? xd lmao me too xD hahah oh noo!
I remeber I used to hate the doors when I was younger (I never listened to them), but my brother never shut up about them.
Then one day I'm watching a music channel, and Jim comes on singing Touch Me, and I was like O.O omg<33 and I totally fell in love with them<33
yea when i was younger i didnt like them either! i thought all thier songs were annoying, even though i only knew like 2... but anyway, the only thing my dad ever listened to was the doors and one night he brought home a dvd of them, and after i watched it, i fell in love. lol, and i wantched it over and over and over again, until i knew every word to all the songs on it.
