Whatever the case with others, it certainly wasn't easy for Ikuinen. The male was world-class material when it came to holding grudges. The world had scorned him and turned him bitter. However he was growing up, he couldn't remember. But it didn't matter. He was angry anyway. Sharp eyes caught the droop of wings, but couldn't place the reason. Perhaps he was too caught up in personal feelings. "Don't be fooled," he muttered, tone falsely sage-like. "The world makes things difficult. It is never easy. It is only an incorrect teaching in light of the world which causes one to believe so."

A brow raised to the other male, presumably older than himself. "Well...yeah. But we're not the world. And what's the world anyways but what we choose to accept and ignore?" He had his occasional bumps in life, but it was still up to him to ignore or overcome them. "There's got to be something you find a glimpse of light in?" It was a rhetorical question, as Terasu soon started listing his own lights in his mind.

A bit of surprise washed over the rustic male. Suddenly, he felt that he was getting lectured by this one, as well as the winged one. He felt torn between understanding and annoyance, the later of which would've been hypocritical of him, which made him even more upset. Life was never so difficult before, even on his crazy quest to warn the Kitsu-youth of the horrible nature of the world they lived in. Life had never been so... confusing. Still, he pushed on, clinging to his beliefs as his only preservation. "The world is what attempts to control us. Fate is a harsh master, don't you think?" Pale eyes narrowed. "Light is an illusion."

"I don't believe in fate... you make your own future." Gabriel said softly, taking a more calm and reserved demeanor. She knew she had gotten herself kicked out of heaven. It wasn't fate, it was her own choices that had ended her in this position.
"Light... is..." and she shrugged, unsure of how to answer that one. "I'm not saying that it is your fault entirely what happens in the future, but I don't believe fate is the master here."

Terasu absorbed the words, finding them difficult. He was still young himself, and not the wisest to reply to such stuff. He could only nod with the winged kitsu. "I never stop to even consider fate. But as for light...it's all the things I enjoy." And that was enough to get him through the day.

After stopping to think, Ikuinen laughed. It was a bitter sort of chortle and obviously a bit mocking. Yet, it stopped rather quickly and he bowed his head. Ash-colored bangs hid pale eyes well. "I wish I could believe you, but too many things have happened that say otherwise." All three tails flicked in agitation. Honestly, losing his memories had been enough to make him bitter. All the bad things that'd happened after that - the sour disposition, the loneliness - that was all his fault. He'd chosen to be that way. Yet, he would never admit such a thing. A horrible smirk came to his maw as he raised his gaze to the others. "I guess I have no light, since I enjoy nothing."
