She awaited his question patiently. She tossed her head, flicking her hair out of her eyes. When he finally posed his question, she tilted her head and eyed his form. She shook her head almost immidiately. "No... you look like an average sized stallion to me." That didn't count for much, considering she was small for a mare herself.

He gave her a critical eye. “Have you met any other stallions before me?” He said with a sarcastic edge in his voice. She was slightly on the smaller side, for a mare that is. Shaking his head, he gave her a small smile. “Never mind, it was a stupid question.” Laughing a fake laugh, he turned to the road and started walking down it. Turning his head back around he called out to her, “Nice to have met you Charlamagne. See you around.”

Charlamagne snorted softly at his tone. She was just about to answer him when he told her to nevermind that he had asked it. She just watched him start walking down the path, but before he could get to far, she followed after him slightly, calling out. "Wait up... why does it matter if I think you're short or not?"

He kept walking, although now a little slower so that she could catch up. “Well, it kind of doesn’t, thus the reason why I am now walking down this path.” He looked at her from the corner of his eye.

Charlamagne eventually caught up with him and trotted beside him. She glanced to him for a moment, before looking ahead of her. "Well.... if it didn't matter... you wouldn't have asked in the first place." She replied softly.

Hmm, that was a thought. “Or, I could have just wanted to know what you thought. It doesn’t really matter.” Inside he knew she was right. Why was height such an issue? He wasn’t short, and he didn’t know why others that him such. He was still growing! He knew he was right, and that they were all wrong. Ed wondered if her answer was the truth or if she was just saying that in order to not be rude.

"But why would you want to know a stranger's thought? You didn't know if I would have been mean and told you something you didn't want to hear." She told him, still curious as to why he brought up the question. Normally, she wouldn't be too interested, but seeing on how she was concerned over her own height, it just tugged at something.

He was almost panicking. Why was she so interested? Laughing slightly, he turned to look at her and tilted his head. “Well, if you had been mean, I wouldn’t be talking to you. And, I guess I was just interested in what your answer would be.” Shrugging his shoulders, he turned back to the road. The wind blew slightly, causing his coat to fly around him. Shaking his head, he started walking.
((So mysterious xD))

She stopped when he turned to look to her, tilting her head as he spoke. Okay, she could take the being interested in her answer part, but something pulled at her. "But you didn't know I would be mean or not when you first met me." She told him, following after him as he walked down the path again.
[Indeed and she's persistent... kinda. x3]

Now he was starting to get annoyed. When he spoke, you could hear the irritation in his voice. “Well, you don’t look very mean; in fact you look quite nice. And why does it matter so much? I asked, you answered. It was just a simple question.” Also she was following him. Plus now he was wondering, is she was always this questioning?
((Indeed, poor Ed ><))

She stopped and lowered her ears when he spoke to her. It was then that she realized that she was probably being annoying, and if that wasn't enough, she was following him. "... I'm sorry. I'm probably more annoying than an obnoxious foal. I-I didn't mean to." She replied, soft spokenly.

He sighed; he hadn’t meant to make her feel bad. “No, I’m sorry. It’s just, an uncomplicated question. Why are you looking so much into it?” But really though, why was she? He stared at her, trying to figure out what she was thinking.

She pawed the ground embarrassedly, her gazed locked to her feet. She really felt bad having found herself being really bothersome. "Again, I'm sorry. I guess it was mainly curiousity. But I guess it also revolved around that I felt pretty small for a mare myself. I mean, to me, I feel like I'm the right height, but seeing so many soquili that are larger than me got me curious about that."

He huffed. “Well, I think that you are the perfect size, so don’t worry about it.” He hadn’t noticed that he had stopped walking when he had been talking to her. Turning, he continued strolling down the road, and he wondered if she would follow.

Charlamagne couldn't help but blush lightly at his words. Her gaze remained down, pawing the floor with her hoof softly. "Thank you. I-if it means anything to you, I think the same way about you." She told him soflty. When she looked up, she saw him turn and walk away. The mare took a step to follow, but stopped almost as soon as she did. She didn't think that he would want her coming with him after what just happened... that and they don't really know each other too well.
