Heh. Now my teacher has randomly decided to make orchestra "cool". So we're playing Bohemian Rhapsody and Eleanor Rigby.
Eleanor Rigby has a lot of shifting meters, from 3/8 - 4/4-3/4 and back. Also, measures are randomly syncopated sometimes. And the last note is that really high B, right under the edge of the fingerboard... lots of shifting. It's fun, and not too hard, but kind of annoying, since she makes us up to tempo the first or second time we play.

Our middle school music sucks. All of it is butchered down into 1 page. We're playing.
Symphony 15 by Mozart arranged by I forgot The Moldau Modau by Smetana arranged by Robert Frost Pirates of the Caribbean Mission impossible Clock symphony
The stuff that the I play in the Saturday orchestra is better. It's like... YPO or something.
Jupiter from the Planets series Dance of the Tumblers Trepak Pirates of the Caribbean Farewell Symphony Finale from Surprise symphony.

We might be playing Jupiter from the Planets! I love the Planets, it's so expressive. And Symphony in D by Mendelsohn, which is kind of embarrassing, as top orchestra played it at the beginning of this year. stressed

I've played most of the others, especially the Brandenburg... I swear I could play that in my sleep. I'd probably play the wrong arrangement, but still, it'd have the right general melody. rolleyes Hye-sang Ohh! Bohemian Rhapsody! I really want to play that! I have an excerpt of it and it's so much fun. 4laugh It's actually written for string quartet, and you can get it... but you'd have to buy it, unfortunately. I'd send you the first violin part, but I don't have a scanner. It is a lot of fun to play, though. 3nodding

That second list of songs is nearly identical to that of my school Orchestra's playlist! Not that it's really all that surprising. -__-
