My Smashmouth album is pretty lame though...
Smash Mouth rocks, one of my favorite bands.
I notice a lot of people are embarassed about Britney Spears and other pop artist's Cds. Why does pop get such a bad reo when pop is short for popular?
Naw, I'm not saying it's bad, I really did used to like them..That's kind of the reason I said that I can't really affored to be embarressed about them, because really, I deffinately liked it at one point. No point in hiding it. I do have to admit I'll listen to them occaissionally... >_> Pretty much sick of it though.
And yeah, I don't get the pop thing. My dad recently told me that the Beatles were considered pop. Which..was a surprise to me. But if you think about it it really does make sense.
But nowadays, most of the stuff that's considered pop is strongly rivaling more indie-like groups that have more creative lyrics etc. I think most of it is just because its..disney..or something like that. That's more of what gives it a bad rep. Or the fact that six-year-olds like it. Or that most of them don't write their own stuff. Things like that.
