The warm breeze ruffled his starry, dark blue mane as he stood high on a boulder. Before him stood the remains of the ship he and Derelict had come to Earth on and the small pod that carried Gemini. It was the only token they had left that reminded them of home, that place they would most likely never see again. The thought almost brought tears to his long dry eyes, eyes that hadn't cried since the first day he went through Spartan training. Valhalla shook the thoughts out of his head and focused on the task back at hand. He made the decision to turn this memory into his new home, a home for both him, his best friends, and any other that wished to accompany him. Lions had those things called Prides right? Well this was going to be his Pride. His, Derelict's, and Gemini's. He craned his neck and adverted his eyes behind him to watch as Gemini came up beside him followed by Derelict. He turned his attention back to the ambient wonder in front of him and smirked. "Well guys, we're home."
The black and multicolor blue lioness stood shoulder to shoulder with one out of the two best friends she had, the two best things that ever happened to her. She called them miracles and miracles they were; to her at least. As she reached the end of the ledge and looked out on to the beautiful scenery before her, she couldn't help but blink back forming tears. Oh how she longed to be up in Space and back at Reach, but it was a distant star that could never be touched. Coming back to Earth she snapped out of her daydream, shaking her head and looking at Valhalla as he spoke his words of the location before them. "Home..."
Derelict was the last to gather on the boulders at the ledge, he was too busy admiring his surroundings. He inhaled deeply and closed his eyes as the wind gently groomed his oddly colored mane and toyed with the Halo pendant around his neck. He pressed a mighty paw into the rock below him and stood on the other side of Valhalla, leaning his head forward so she could see Gemini as well. He wasn't as emotional as the other two, so he felt out of place as he stared into the blue eyes of both Vall and Gemini, Derelict's eyes were dry. He looked away as Valhalla spoke and listened with both ears instead of the usual one he sometimes used when his male friend ranted about one of his troubles. As Valhalla's voice trailed off to a slight echo off the mountains and Gemini's faded into the wind, he smiled. "Yeah....home."

The white and mighty lion stood high on his perch. This was his pride now, his responsibility as much as it was the other two, Gemini and Derelict. With a push of his back legs, Valhalla leaped off the wall he was standing on and landed in the soft grass below. It tickled his paws as he walked along the paths that the three of them were trying to break in. There was still a lot of work that was needed to be done, but it sure felt good to be close to something that was previously his entire life, something his world revolved around ever since he was a child of six. As much as Valhalla missed home, this place was starting to feel just like it.
Gemini couldn't help but explore the outskirts of her territory, heading towards the wonder that caught her eye the most; the waterfall. It was tall and beautiful, it's mist surrounding her black form only to leave crystals where it touched. It sounded like the thunder of an army of horses hooves, sprinting across an open valley. She entered the passage way behind it and sat down to look through the sheet of glass that endlessly poured down into the poll below. In the distance she could see blurs of blue and and white, Derelict and Valhalla. She smiled and got up, shaking out her fur as she moved further away from the mystical falls and headed back towards the boys.
Derelict was curious as to what was in the abandoned ship, so padded forward until the shadows of the unlit structure engulfed him. He couldn't help but to hold his breath, he wouldn't be surprised if an elite came out and attacked him. If they were going to make this their den there was going to need to be light, so Derelict searched for weak spots in the walls and ceiling. For those he found, he pounded his paw against it until it burst open, shedding the warm sunlight within the dark chamber. He could finally see now and things were defiantly looking up.

As things started to come into view for Derelict, the lion made his way around the fallen ship, pointing out some things they could use and putting together a pile of scraps. However, just because there was light, didn't always mean he was safe. Still getting used to his new form, Derelict stumbled over a piece of piping and his own paws. He fell to the metal floor with a clang and grunted.
"OW! Watch it you big oaf, that hurts!"
Derelict's flakes twitched as well as his ears as he heard the squeak of a little voice, a familiar one at that. As quickly as possible, Derelict got to his paws and scanned the area. A threat? An elite? No, an elite wouldn't speak his language. Thoughts raced through his mind as he kept his eyes locked on to where he had fallen. Those narrowed blue eyes soon widened, however, as he saw a tiny purple form scurry out from inside the pipe.
The little purple mouse emerged from the pipe, that had so rudely been bashed around, and shook her head. She looked up to the blue lion standing before her. Either that lion was a giant, or the rumbling pipe did some damage to her brain. She was always small, but she knew how tall a lion on all fours was compared to herself. The tiny rodent paused for a minute. Wait. What's a lion doing here in outer space? Where the hell was she? The purple and black creature looked down to her...paws? "AHHHHH!! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!?" For once in her life, she didn't know something.
Derelict crouched down to her level, noticing the small, scrolling numbers moving throughout her purple figure. He gasped and looked into her eyes. No. It couldn't be. "Cortana!?" His halo pendent pinged against the floor as the rumble in his voice caused it to move.
The mouse looked pale, her scrolling numbers coming a complete stop. "How do you know my name? Why am I a...a mouse!? And...who are you?" It hurt to ask so many questions. It was usually her bing asked and her giving the answers. She hated not knowing what was going on.
Derelict couldn't believe it was her. How did she get here? How did she become a mouse? He shook his head to rid the questions and showed her his right paw. "See that? I'm a Spartan. It's me Cortana, Derelict." He replied with confidence.
Cortana's brain couldn't handle the confusement. She looked to the number on Derelict's wrist band and went wide eyes. "Spartans are here?" She didn't know what to think or what to do.
Derelict nodded and picked her up with a paw gently, resting her on his back. "I'll take you to the rest of them." He smiled and bolted through the corridors of the fallen ship until he reached the entrance he came through. He couldn't to show Cortana to the others, this was such a twist to their never ending story.
Cortana blinked. "The rest of them." The mouse paused for a moment. "Aye, aye, aye!"

Derelict came to a skidding halt in front of Valhalla, having spotted his white coat in the distance, but Gemini was still no where to be found. "Val! You won't BELIEVE what I just came across! Call Gemini over!" He panted a bit, trying to catch his breath from his short sprint.
Valhalla blinked as Derelict came flying at him; never had he seen Derelict in such a rush. However, he did what Derelict asked him to do and drew in a deep breath before letting out his most mighty roar. It was his first and boy was he proud of it. He took a moment to turn to Derelict and gloat. "Oooh that was hawt dontcha think?" He chuckled as Derelict rolled his eyes and turned his head back to the outskirts of the pride.
It wasn't long after Valhalla's roar when Gemini emerged from the trees lining their territory. She squinted and saw both boys standing their, wondering if it was something important they needed her for. She shrugged and broke into a run, her muscles rippling through her sleek black fur and her paws barely touching the Earth. She loved to run. Minutes later, she reached her best friends and nuzzled them in greeting, looking to Valhalla with a purr. "That was one sexy roar you did there." She chuckled and raised an eyebrow, her tail flakes swishing back and forth impatiently. "Well?" She asked. "You called me right?"

Qiuyue raised a brow at her surroundings, they were just slightly odd. She stood at the borders of the land, the smell of other lions drew her here. She ran into many other prides, but too many scents filled her nose when she reached the borders, when she did she quickly ran off to some where else. She'd been watching the pride for a while now, she seemed to be attracted to it.
She squished her paws around thinking of what to do.
She turned and waited for one that she cared for... Teysu, she convinced her to follow herself here, they were keeping a secret but no one would find out for a while. "Tey?" She sniffed the air and waited. She let out a roar letting the pride know she was waiting.
  'Your crazy'
  "Thank you." SHe muttered.

"Don't let them think you are crazy Qui... you have a crazy passion yes... but not crazy..." She laughed as she came up behind Quiyue and nosed her shoulder. She wouldn't show too much effection, wanting to let their relationship be hidden. Others would know them as just friends... She wondered if she should roar too...
Making up her mind she let out her own roar and waited with Qui happily. "Things will be alright..." She said softly, sitting down as she waited for someone to greet them.

Valhalla puffed out his white chest, his Halo 3 crest gleaming brightly in the sun as Gemini's words boosted his ever-growing ego. The lion gave a small wink, despite Derelict's glare, and nodded. "Derelict has something to show us apparently." Val turned to his male companion with a questionable look, his blue feathers flickering back and forth as he waited for an answer.
Derelict smiled as the attention was now directed upon him, watching as two sets of eyes awaited for an explanation to his calling. "You're not going to believe WHO I found. I was examining the ruins of the fallen ship when I stumbled across Cor-" His words were cut off by the sudden roar of a lioness, soon followed by a second. He shut his mouth and looked to Val with uncertainty. Someone, or something, was at their border, but who?
Gemini's ears twitched at the fading echos, rising to all four of her paws in alert. She turned to her two best friends with a half smile, "Looks like we have company, lets move." She broke into a run, heading towards the opposite end of where she just had explored. Her heart was racing not from the exercise, but the thought of more lions around. An ally? New members? ...An enemy?

With the boys close behind her, Gemini finally came to a slow trot, then eventually a walk. She let out a small chuff to let the unknown lions she was close, but not a threat. It didn't take long for her to emerge from the great pine trees that surrounded their territory and notice two females. She cautiously made her way forward, followed closely byDerelict at her left and Valhalla at her right.

Quiyue smiled as they were awnser she smiled as some one was coming. "If their are males you will be fine hun. I'm here." SHe smiled and nodded looking forward.
'If there are males you'll take them by yourself?' Her voice mocked her. "Yes now shut up." She muttered very lowly. She let out a wide grin as a female and two males walked through she right away bowed. "My name is Quiyue and this is Teysu. We have been around his area for a while and we are very interested into joining." She nodded. "I can be of much help here. I am a good fighter and a great hunter." She was hoping these are friendly lions.

Teysu followed suit, just bowing though. She really didn't know what to say, how would she know her good qualties were if all she ever used was her negative ones. She had it, she would only answer if they asked her a question.
Glancing over at Qui she heaved a sigh and hoped they would say something good.

Young wanderer happened to pick up her slender body from the begotten woods that she had been staying in for so long. It had been years since she had been around others of her kind. Ever since her pride split up and her parents moved on, she had been alone. Young warrior still wondered to this day whatever happened to 'er folks. Her father was once a great King but great destruction and devastation had befallen the lands she had once called home. Though, she never forgot the place she came from or the royal blood running through her veins. She would always be a princess at heart.
