Spirits. Of course , the spirits were back. Though Mama and Memory both believed in the spirits and talked to the spirits, Trev had never quite made up his mind about them; if they WERE real, then they were really, REALLY anti-social. But if they made Mama and Memy happy...
Flopping down on the cave floor beside her, he gave his sister a grin and a nod. "Well, if they listen to Mama, they gotta be able to tell that you're her daughter, Memy. And it's not like you're bugging them about stupid stuff, either, so if they're listening to ANYONE, I bet they're listening to you." Cause she was nice and NOT selfish in her askings, so if there WERE spirits, they probably liked that.

She took a deep breath, releasing it as a soft sigh as she finally began to relax. Trev said that everything was going to be alright and if he said that well... She had no reason to not believe him. Everything had been alright when he'd told her it would be before. They hadn't run into the big stallion that looked like him or the nasty little filly again, afterall...
"I bet... I bet Mama and Mister Draven will be back by the time we wake up in the morning... And we can talk Mama into going to that place with all of the nice berries for breakfast. Everything will be just fine..." She nodded slowly as she settled down. "I'm glad I have a brother like you, Trev."

There was nothing quite like having confidence placed in you to really make a Soquili feel important. Memory's softly spoken words of thankfulness were enough to make Trev's chest puff out importantly, as it always did when he was feeling 'stallionish'.
"Berries sound good, alright; and I betcha THIS time we'll get there before the birds have eaten all the good ones. Just you wait, it'll be AWESOME." And they'd all go together; he and Memy and Mama and Draven, and they'd all together be more than a match for the big bad whatever it was that was out there. "You wait and see, it'll be that awesome...we'll be that awesome..."
But at the moment...he'd settle for sleep.
