Spike tilted his head again, watching the female curiously. He must have done something to upset or embarass her. His ears sagged. He wasnt sure if he could ever go a day without doing something wrong. Standing the male nodded his head gently, silently giving the little one her space. He flopped down against a tree, resting his head on his paws, wondering what the trigger was this time.

She shook her head off again to get any excess water off and she watched as Spike went to sit next to a tree. She sighed and looked down at her reflection in the water, splashing at it viciously.

Spike found the motion most peculiar, but knew better then to show outward curiosity. When she was done hating herself, she'd either come over to him, or fly off in a flurry of embarassment. He hoped she wouldnt leave, but only she knew what she'd do. Well, theoreticaly anyways.

Once she was done taking her frustration out on the water, she laid herself down and put her head on her paws, sighing to herself, her tails laying limply on the ground.

Spike continued to watch her, he knew better then to approach her, that might just drive her away, altho sitting by and watching wasnt all that productive either.....The male was at a crossroads

Morty sighed again and stood up, padding over to him and sitting down heavily, looking a bit of a mess, "I'm sorry Spike, it's just....everything is so confusing...I don't know what to think anymore..." she said softly.

Spike pushed himself up, sitting, and looking down at her, as she spoke. He smiled gently and lightly nudged her shoulder with his nose, edging her to elaborate a bit more. Should she chose to.

Even though he was gentle with the nudge, she almost fell over again, but she straightened up quickly. She sighed again, hunching down, "It's just....I don't know, I'm so not like everyone else! My mom is beautiful and Akli got her patterning for bleeding and I didn't! All I got from her was the white on my face and my tail! All the boys at home make fun of me cause I am so skinny, no matter how much I eat! I'm always tripping and I broke a few things and I don't think I'll ever grow up to be as pretty as my mom or Lucia!" she said, starting to cry, tears tracking down her face as she started to let out what was upsetting her.

Spike listened, as she let go the flood gates of her troubles. He smiled reassuringly and wrapping a paw around her small form, hugged her. He made sure not to lose the small female in all his fur. He held her close, for a few moments, letting her know she wasnt alone, and that he wasnt going anywhere. He folded his wings around her, and closed his eyes, he had comforting magic, and tried to show her how he saw her. She was a strong willed angelic, most would have given up and been swallowed by their shyness, but she endured much when others would have given up. He saw the beauty that lied within her small frame, that would blossom wonderfly when she grew. He smiled, and released her.

Morty gasped when Spike suddenly grabbed her into a hug and wrapped his wings around her, effectively covering her completely. She blushed hotly, but didn't try pull away, the magic she felt from him washing over her and calming her down. 'His magic is like Nunzio's...only different...'s he thought to herself. When he released her, she sat back and looked a bit thoughtful.
To her, growing up was hard, always unsure if she would be pretty enough or if she would make her parents proud. That was always her greatest fear, letting everyone down. But now she felt a bit more better about growing into an adult.

Spike didnt need words. Both his parents sought to comfort others, and between them, he could relay brief images or thoughts to others, but only if the thougsh or images were good. He couldnt relay harmful messages, not that he'd ever want to. He smiled gently at the teen. Spike knew, that she would grow up and fill in all her awkward limbs.
He too was always the odd one out. When he was a baby, he was the size of a teen, when he was a teen he was the size of an adult. And now. Well now he's just plain massive. And apparently, Peatree did NOT like the size of his egg.
Now, he tilted his head, wondering if Morty felt better. She looked more calm, but it was hard to tell sometimes.

Everyone tried to reassure Morty that when she finally grew up, she would be as beautiful as her mother or that she was a beautiful mix of her parents. It was hard to see that, but maybe, just maybe, she would be like that one day. She looked up at Spike and gave him a bright smile in thanks.

Spike smiled and nodded good. He was glad the little one felt better, he hated to see her upset, and it seemed she was always upset about something. He chuckled lightly, shaking his head side to side. What a day.

Morty smiled and looked ready to say something else, but stopped when she saw a shadow pass over and the sound of wings was over head. She looked up, a little scared it could be a stranger, but smiled when she saw it was Nunzio. She stood up and trotted over to where he landed.
Nunzio folded his black wings along his back, smiling down at the small teen before him, "There you are Morticia, I have been looking everywhere for you!" he exclaimed. He looked up and smiled happily when he saw his larger then him son was there as well, "And this is even better, Spike!"

Spike smiled and wagged his tails, padding over to his father. He bowed his head in greeting. This was a surprise, he hasnt seen his dad in a while. His smile widened, as he silently 'asked' how his dad has been
