"I suppose, they are still young after all." They hadn't grown up into young men that long ago. There was still time for them to learn that they really weren't that different.
"Friends should bicker like children. It means they still have things to talk about." She leaned down to take a sip from the stream and n** a flower off it's stem.

"Bickering does not a conversation make." He chuckled, closing his eyes for a moment as he let his mind drift off. "Had I hands I am certain I could most likely count on one of them how many conversations my friend and I have had without arguing over our difference in opinions..."

"I would still consider an argument, as long as it's not violent or disrespectful, about a difference in opinions a good conversation." She nodded slightly. She loved those sorts of things when she could find them. Her boys on the other hand always resorted to calling each other names.

A somewhat sheepish look crossed over his face as he glanced down at the water's reflective surface. There had been at least once or twice that they'd resorted to various levels of disrespect for each other's opinions... Name calling included.
"I must say... It is rather pleasant to be carrying on a conversation without bickering." He nickered softly.

"It is." She nodded and shook her mane out slightly. "So ... Aziraphale, you don't look like you've come from around here. Did you wander this direction to get away from your bickering brothers?"

"I initially wandered in this direction because I was asked to do so. After a bit of time... I decided that I liked it." He nickered softly, letting a soft smile curve his mouth. "This land is lovely and there are many good things about it... Current company now included. As refreshing as it is to carry on a conversation it is equally so to have one with an intelligent mare who doesn't seem to be seeking anything more than the same..."

"Met a few who were looking for .." she paused and after shaking her head gave him that horrible overly large batting eyes look. "Some big strong stallion to keep them company and take care of them and provide a family to make their dreams come true?" She snickered as she grinned at him.

He resisted every urge he had to twitch as she made that wretched face that he was convinced simply had to be something that someone from Crowley's 'side' came up with. Who else could come up with something so... Ugh? "I... Am not entirely certain that it was a family they sought out of whatever arrangement they had in mind... Nor am I certain that is an apropriate subject to broach with a lady." He snorted softly, giving his head a light toss. "I am quite certain that, whatever it was, I had no intrest in it whatsoever."

"Well maybe not a family but defiantly part of one." She laughed softly as she shook her head. She'd heard too many stories and after all there were stallions like Remy so there had to be mares to match.
"I live with five boys. I'm sure i've been quite dulled to those things that aren't appropriate"

"Just because you consider yourself dulled to such things doesn't mean I should be alright with letting my manners slip." He bowed his head politely, smiling softly at the mare. "I prefer being different than all of the other stallion's out there, especially if they act anything like the mares I've met."

"There are plenty of good girls around here, sadly they're all either my daughters or adopted daughters and i'm afraid most of them take after their father." She laughed softly as she thought about the girls.
"I'm sure you know at least one stallion who's not like those girls aside from yourself?" He had to have friend somewhere it was just natural. "Friend from your home range?"

There was the question that always seemed to come up. If he didn't have a 'special someone' was there a friend? He had continued to ponder on that here and there. Was Crowley a friend? Even if he was, was he all that different from those females?
"No. No, I'm afraid Crowley is very much like them." He shook his head slowly, thinking on when he'd last seen the darker stallion. "At least, he has never proven himself to be any different."

She was quiet for a moment before she laughed. "So you mean he wants you to mount him so he can spawn you little ones?" The idea was ludicrous but maybe it could get a laugh out of the other stallion. She doubted his friend, this Crowley, was like that. Though he might be one of those stallions that left a wake of swooning mares in his wake.

He paused for a moment... And then her question sank in. "Dear Heavens, no!" His eyes went wide as he stared at her, almost believing her to be serious in having asked such a thing. "I simply meant that he is..." His nose scrunched slightly as he tilted his head high with a soft snort. "... More inclined to give in to their wishes than I would ever be."

She laughed at the look on his face once her question had sunk in. "I knew what you meant, i just couldn't help teasing you." With his attitude it was far too easy and she couldn't pass up the opportunity.
"I'm sure he has his reasons for being so inclined, just as you've got your reasons for not. If we all acted the same there would be no fun in life after all."
Her life would defiantly have been boring had Remy not barged is way into it.
