All time favorite though has to be the Transformers. UK G1 comics for preference, even if Furman's got an unadulterated Grimlock fetish. If we're not talking GIANT robots though, Beast Wars is the smartest, most adult kids show ever written short of Batman: the Animated Series. Small cast=characterization that was previously unheard of in a half hour format. Code of Hero is a masterpiece.
Completely agree about
Beast Wars. Unfortunately most fans I've spoken to either hate it, or ignore it because it's not the "real" Optimus and Megatron. Though fans that can take off their rose tinted glasses can see this is the best TF series to date.
My only problem is all 3 versions of Optimus Primal annoyed me, but with characters like Dinobot, the new Megatron, Waspinator, Rattrap, etc... who cares? I loved Dinobot's final words at the end of CoH.
