My favorite authors are Judy Blume, Louis Sachar, Madeline L'Engle, and, of course, J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter rocks! biggrin

Piers Anthony ~ writes Xanth novels. I like him for many reasons, one he has wrote over 20 novels of Xanth and though they are all about different people old people come into it and things that happened in other books are remembered and to write that many books and intertwine them all takes a great deal of skill, another reason is his wierd humor and that he takes advise from fans and uses it and puts there online names at the end of his book to thank them.

Have you read any of Terry Pratchett's books? I think you would like them. His Disc World books are sort of similar to the Xanth books.

No but after I get the last Harry Potter I'll look for it.

I suggest his book "Mort".

The Terrible Trivium

I have so many favorite authors, it's hard to pick just a few. Right now I'm obsessed with the works of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Terry Pratchett is my king. I adore his work, his masterpieces. His writing is so flawless, his characters so real. I introduced ALL my friends to him, now they love him too. hes just so easy to read, go "Oh.My.God" then hurl the book straight into the hands of another and say "omglikereadthisyouwilldieitsthebestthingiveeverreadinmywholelifeFROTH"
I love the Witches books the most, but the Death books come so dang close.

okay moving on before i start to do anything more scary

I also love JK Rowling. Harry Potter is a web of juicy interrelating crazy good-goo. I love Ron and Neville the most. I am also a dangerously homicidal Ron/Mione shipper. Their love is so painfully obvious that i feel anyone who cant see it must have their ear yelled off.

Douglas Adams. I love H2G2. I think i have something for the brittish authors. They just get humor like no other country of writers. Its so raw and comes out of nowhere. Painfully brilliant wit just oozes off the page.

Last but in no way least is Stephenie Meyer. Twilight is just so wonderful, a new twist on Vampire legend, an irresistible lead. So good. So good. Perfect really.

Wow how this guild has brought out the babbling obsessive freak in me. You are all scared out of your minds now im guessing..

I really Like Terry Goodkind and Tanya Huff. Bruce Coville has a series I really like called The Unicorn Chronicles that i reall like too
Edit: I cant belive I forgot one of the best authors ever (in my opinon) Harry Harrison! heart he wrote The Stainless Steel Rat Series (of wich i have read them all)

Piers Anthony
Elizabeth Haydon (Although I only read one book, but it was pretty good)

I can't remember anymore. I'm about to read a book called Jinx by Meg Cabot. Didn't Orson Scott write some books called The Golden Compass and The Subtle Knife? Anyways, though.

That was Philip Pullman... and then he finished the trilogy w. the Amber Spyglass...anyhoo- my fav authors, well, just a few...= Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, James Patterson, DJ MacHale, Gordan Korman, Margaret Haddix, Laurie Faria Stolarz (sp?) , Cate Tierman (I think that's who wrote the Sweep series, but idunno), Anthony Horowitz, and oodles more...I swear I've read every decent book in the school and public library. It gets a wee bit hard to remember all the great authors out there.
