"ACHOO!" Haruhi's head flung forward, a centimetre above from hitting her head into the book she had been reading.

'That's funny, I don't remember waking up with a cold,' she thought, meaning to pull a tissue from her pocket, realizing that she didn't have one.

'That's right...'

A flashback of the night before and that morning went through her head.

The front door shut with a slam.

Haruhi wasn't expecting her father to be home so she was going to be as noisy as she could to vent out all her anger.

"What's wrong sweetie?" her father's voice called from the kitchen.

Haruhi jumped. So he was home.

"Nothing. I should get to bed, I'm tired," she told him, walking across the kitchen to the closet that had Ryoji and her futons inside.

When Haruhi passed by him in the kitchen, Ryoji (a.k.a. Ranka) gasped.

"My darling is wearing a dress!" he exclaimed. "And you look so cute too! Oh, if only your mother saw you!"

Haruhi rolled her eyes, pulled out her futon and was soon asleep in bed.

"Dad!" Haruhi called, browsing the clothes in her closet.

"Yes, darling?"

"Why don't I have anymore clothes?"

"But you do! You're staring at all of them!"

Haruhi sighed. The Ouran uniform wasn't in there. All that remained were dozens upon dozens of brand-named dresses.

Her eyes trailed to the floor to see a crumbled up issue of OU Spot, surprisingly from that day.

"FUJIOKA IS A GIRL!" it read. She sighed once again.

It must've been revenge.

That day Haruhi wore a short dress that ended just above her knees, trimmed with lace and half-cut sleeves.

It also didn't have pockets

She was in the library, hoping for some peace and quiet for studying, but the constant whispers of other people in the library distracted her.

Gossip is never nice, but it's nicer if the person being gossiped about doesn't find out. The gossip that day, about Haruhi, wasn't any nicer than it could have been.

Haruhi stood up and exited the library, planning only to be gone a moment.

She needed a tissue. She went to the closest room to the library: the Third Music Room.

When she opened the door, she noticed a slight silence.

She saw Tamaki deep in thought, but ignored it.

"Do you have any tissues?" she asked, politely.

She was really nervous being around all of them again, especially since she wasn't going to be in that room anymore, not working anyways.

And it wasn't as if she could exactly afford their services.

Tamaki whirled around around the sound of that voice and stared, wide eye-ed, at the Haruhi in front of him. For a moment he thought it was another one of his day dreams, from the cute, little, lacey dress she was wearing. He blinked, then broke out into a grin as he realized it was real. "Haruhi~" He cried, running towards her with arms wide open. "Haruhi you've returned to Daddy! He missed you so much!"

Everything happened so fast the moment everyone noticed that she had entered the room.

She found herself being hugged by Hani, almost hugged by Tamaki, pulled away by the twins, was pushed away soon after and fell into Tamaki.

"Sorry," she apologized, stepping back from him.

Haruhi's eyes went to a table in the corner of the room with a box of tissues on top of it.

She walked toward it, pulled out a tissue, blew her nose (with her back to the others), threw it out and then turned to everyone.

"Thanks, I should go now," she said, quickly heading to the door.

Halfway there she spoke again, "And Hikaru and Kaoru, I meant to give you back your phone today but Dad's rearranged my closet and things so I couldn't find it."

She reached for the handle of the door and curled her fingers around it.

It didn't move. Haruhi had hesitated leaving. Her expression was sad as she stared at the ground.

"Ha-ru-hi. You lost your phone? Tsk tsk tsk. I guess...we'll have to give you a new one!" finished the twins. Perhaps it was just their imagination, but did Haruhi lose the phone on purpose?

"Here, Haruhi. You can use mine for now. Unless you find your old one." stated Kaoru.

The twins needed to stay in contact with Haruhi, 24/7. Thereby, increasing the percentage of Haruhi's time that she spent with the twins. And decreasing Tamaki's percentage.

"Haruhi, you can stay as long as you like," Kaoru continued.

"We'll even pay for your stays here. Cost-free. Only..." Hikaru stopped talking and was waiting for Kaoru to finish.

"Only if you play a game." finished Kaoru.

Boy, this was going to mix up Haruhi's feelings.

"What do you say, Ha-ru-hi? Even Tono's think about it." the twins said, pointing Tamaki daydreaming in his corner.

"We'll even pay off the rest of your debt, sincerely by..." said the twins in unison...

"Kaoru, and" gestured Hikaru.

"Hikaru." finished Kaoru.

"Of course, playing this game is obligatory, but the winner gets a..." continued Kaoru.

"Gets...this other cell phone in the cell-phone-buddies. Of course, once the game has started, there's backing out. But you can't join in again." finished Hikaru.

Hikaru and Kaoru walked over to Haruhi, the game was going to start very soon. Very soon.

Kaoru began their plan. "Haruhi, do you...

"...agree?" said Hikaru, picking up Haruhi in his arms.

If their plan worked, Tamaki would be in trouble.

(I'd like to take Kyoya... since my dear Kaoru was taken. So... I hope I do all right with him.)

Kyoya pushed up his glasses and watched as Hitachiin brothers and Tamaki seemed to be trying to push Haruhi into getting her to designate them. Yet there was no way he was going to allow that to happen. After all, he'd had a firm talk with his father back after the party.

~Flashback~

"Kyoya!" his father called out in a rather serious and distinguished voice, almost sounding as if he was annoyed. Kyoya had stood up a little straighter and pushed his glasses up on his nose.

"Yes otousan?" Kyoya asked politly, even as his voice was slightly strained.

"I was just talking with Souh, Tamaki's father, and he seems to think that his son is more deserving of Fujioka than you are!"

Kyoya was absolutely stunned by his father's outburst. Tamaki was better for Haruhi? What in the world? "Wh... what are you talking about, otousan?" he asked after a moment.

"The girl I met at the party who defended you to me. ME of all people. I want you to marry her. She's not from the best family, but that can be over looked. She's got brains, which shows by her scholarship, and she's got a lot of spirit. She's also not afraid to argue things as they are, no matter who its toward. That makes her a good choice for a bride."

Kyoya swallowed and once more pushed his glasses up. Well, this was certainly a change. His father was suddenly very interested him him, despite the fact he was the youngest son. It was certainly different. Yet before he could answer, his father spoke again.

"I want you to win her over, Kyoya. No matter what it takes. We can't let the Souh's steal her from us. Understand?"

Kyoya nodded. "Of course, otousan. I'll do my best."

~End Flashback~

With that scene in mind, Kyoya stepped forward. "Haruhi, don't listen to them. They merely want to use you to rub it into Tamaki's face. Besides, who said I'd allow them to pay for your debt?" he asked. He then turned to his clipboard that he always carried with him. "Of course, should you chose to designate me, I can make certain your debt with still be paid off, without interest."

Haruhi looked to the ground thinking over the night before.

She was forgetting something in all this, something that they had been talking about for most of their conversation.

"But I don't have a debt..." she said finally. "Kyoya, you told me last night. I guess we're all so used to me being in debt that we all forgot..."

Haruhi whirled around and started toward the door again, finding herself just dodging it from hitting her face as it opened.

It was Akina, a girl who often went to the Host Club, with Haruhi's book in her hand.

"Ah, um, thanks...Akina-san," she mumbled, looking at her feet and taking the book.

"And...I'm sorry for lying to you (and everyone else that didn't know) about my gender. I didn't mean for anything bad to happen..."

Realizing that she was outwardly looking sad and showing weakness, Haruhi looked up and smiled.

"I guess I'd better go. It's not like I could afford—I mean, it's not like I have any buisness with the Host Club anymore. Bye."

She quickly waved back to the rest of the people in the room and walked off, rather quickly.
