"Well, I learned Gaelic a couple of years ago. I had to sneak the books into my house, though. My dad hates everything that has to do with magic," Franki said, dropping her head near the end of the comment. "I could give you guys my translations," she said, perking up to her normal 'cheerful' self (she's a goth, she's never fully cheerful. Her voice just went back to normal).

Melony nodded a no. "No thanks, I already have enough work! And your dad...?" Melony put on a worried look.

"Ok. Oh, my dad, um...what do you want to know about him?" Franki asked them.

Sirius remained quiet about the 'dad' talk, since he didn't give a damn about his own father. He averted his eyes to look down the corridor.
Melony thought a bit and then asked, "He doesn't like magic? So... He doesn't want you here?" Melony caught a quick glance at Sirius, he was not paying attention. Melony knew why of course, everyone in Gryffindor knew.

"Nope, he doesn't want me here. So I left when I was about 15. I've lived by myself ever since. He hasn't tried to contact me since. And I've barely been in contact with my mother. Just a bit of gold and a letter now and then. It really bugs me but I've lived," Franki said. She dropped her head again in shame. This is why she could relate to Sirius so well, except Sirius was better off... he had friends.

Sirius perked up a little and looked at the two of them. "Well I guess we all have that in common. Sucky parents." He truely felt bad for Franki.
Melony eyes widened, how did he know? How?? No one knows, but Lily! "No my home is fine, what gave you-"
"Liar." Sirius turned towards the girls and had an expression on his face of sympathy.

"What's wrong, Melony?" Franki said, seeing Melony's changed expression. "Is there something wrong?"

Melony started to get anxious and stood up. "No, I'm not lying Sirius Black, everything is fine. Franki, my home is fine." Melony started to turn red.
Sirius stood up automatically. "Once again, you're lying. Just this morning you blew up that letter from your mum." He pushed his hands into his pockets.

"And how would you know that, Sirius?" Franki said with sheer curiosity. She stood up, also, putting all of her books down. "How would you know something like that?"

"You're not my friend anymore Sunrise! Just leave things as they are!" a tall girl with wiry blonde curls said with her naturally nasally voice. She and her popular friends stared down their noses at her intimidatingly. Sunrise took a timid step back, but Valerie Springs stepped closer again, intending to harm. "Besides, I was only your friend in the first place because your brother asked me to be. I never liked you, I only pitied you as I do now. Now leave me be."
Sunrise stumbled backward and back into the castle, her entire body shaking from cold and shame, her heart wrenching at the mere mention of her late brother. She ran down to the dungeons to wait for Potions to start, her book lying forgotten a short distance away on the floor as she huddled by herself in corridor's corner.

[Poor Sunrise!]
Melony started to shake a little. No! He does not know! "Th-that letter wasn't from home, just from the Daily Prophet! Canceled my order!" She looked around, hoping for Slughorn to show up.
Sirius's expression turned to serious. [haha!] "It might be a little rude, but last year Peter got the wrong owl, and it was from your mum. We, err, we read it." He started to feel very guilty.

[Outside the Potions Room] "... Well, this is awkward. I'm going to go to the library because Slughorn isn't here. I'm sorry if I bugged either of you by bringing up my parents," Franki said. She picked up her books and turned to leave, her long, black hair swishing behind her as she walked forward towards the Entrance Hall.

((Oh, so i can bring sunny back into the conversations, good))
"You really shouldn't read other peoples' letters, Black. It's not a kind thing to do," Sunrise whispered as she overheard Sirius, knowing very well he would most likely not hear her. It didn't even matter anymore, she was entering that place again that she had been in after Dean died, her heart raging with pain as it slowly turned to virtual stone. Her hands shook as she gazed at them, wshing she could disappear. Her eyes clouded over and became a most impenetrable brown colour instead of its normal cheerul hazel. She didn't notice that there were tears in her eyes until small wet spots on her gray uniform skirt.

Melony looked at Sunrise and saw that she was crying. "Whats wrong? What happened?" Melony was very glad she could change the subject. She gave a goodbye wave to Franki.
