"Freinds." Astia beamed happily. She had made a new friend. "Yes, can e go to the lake now?" She smiled. "It will be nice on such a hot day." Tia smiled grimly. "Yes, many have been killed by them, though I have heard of kind ones.. a grey one, I think? He, from what I have heard, is kind." She frowned. "But I am not sure."

Freodwyn Padre Miguel held out the basket for Christien. "Take some food, son. It is quite good, and you must be hungry." He then turned toward Soquili again. He sincerely doubted, based on her laughter and the fact that she had just inadvertantly called everything in the basket "the delicious", that she could understand any word he was saying. Still, he decided to try making progess. Pointing to himself, he said, "Miguel Hernandez Soto de Santiago." *Chandrika smiles when she saw pale face eating and seems to appreciat their present. She look at the princess when the man in black clothe seems to say his name*

Nokomei giggled, somewhat catching on, pointing to herself she replied, "Nokomei" she then pointed to her soquili and exclaimed, "Oathkeeper."

Christien nodded to the Padre and bent gracefully to pick up a peice of the vegetables, biting into it timidly. It tasted wonderful though and it took everything he had in him not to gulp it down as fast as possible. It was beneath him to commit such an unmannerly act, of course, and dangerous for his body, as well. After he'd swallowed a few bites, he couldn't help put smile at Soquili's obvious mistake. Offering her that friendly seeming smile, he stepped forward a little with a shake of his head. "Osiyo," which seemed to be hello, he repeated then gestured towards geoffry, "Geoffry."
With a gesture to the padre, he continued, "Osiyo, Miguel," And finally put his hand to his chest, "Osiyo, Christien." After a moments pause to let her digest that, he gestured politely to her, "Osiyo...?" It might work.

Off to the lake? She would like that, a nice splash in it. Althought the thing on their bad seemed like something that must not get wet. "Astia I don't think the thing on their back can get wet." Awnae wanted to see what would happen if they were to take all of the items they were wearing off. Would they feel free like them, or would they want the items to be kept on them. By the way, how do you take those things off?! She wondered more and more.

Chamain "Oh yes, call me Awnae instead of Awnaety, it is shorter. Both ways are just fine." Smiling happily. "Yes Astia, we're all friends...this is a free land. Every soquilis is running free." Looking proud of where she was born. Then focussing on the humans, they did seem to be making peace too. Crowfoot "Freinds." Astia beamed happily. "But I am not sure." "I am glad we are all friends," Arama said. "Though I'd rather wait to go to the lake until my master takes this off me. He'd get mad otherwise, and I don't want to disappoint him."

"Okay, Ara.." She smiled, still incredibly happy she had a freind. This was great! Tia looked at Awn. "Really?" She frowned. "Well, maybe we could try to take them off later." She nodded quickly.

Summer Jessamin had been waiting for the Princess to give the jerky to the pale faces, but realizing that the Princess was very busy and the pale faces were very hungry, she took her small offering and placed it by the basket. She then backed up, still not wanting to draw attention to herself.

Arama nodded. "There's that, too. I am afraid that if this stuff gets wet, it will become heavy. Much heavier than my master could ever be. I'd probably drown, and my poor master would be all alone," she said, a sad expression coming with the thought. "But as soon as he's where he wants to be for the day, he'll take it off himself."

((::snort!:: TASTELIKE is Geoff's new name. xDDDD))
Geoffrey wasn't one to pass up such a friendly gesture. He made for the basket and gladly took one of the strange fruits before taking a bite of it, surprised by the crisp, natural flavor that soon filled his mouth. He blinked at the girl's response and waved his hands in front of himself, shaking his head as he quickly swallowed blurted a response . "Oh no no, miss! My name is Geoffrey."
Lady gawked as she overheard the strange female. "You share your human's home?.." She whickered, having never even seen then inside of her master's home.
That thought was abandoned soon afterwards, as the golden femme's attention quickly flocked from the strangers to the food in her master's hand. Maybe he wouldn't notice if she took a bite..

Astia had a grim face at the horrible image. "Yes.. We must make sure he takes those things off.." She smiled at Ara weakly. "Wouldn't want you drowning.."

Agreeing with the mare. "I just hope it won't be too late to go to the lake. I expect that your master will settle down at night." Nodding at her. Then she went to stand beside Arama, they were the same height. Awnae looked closely at the saddle. "What do you call these things?" The mare wanted to learn as much as possible about these creatures.

"This stuff is wierd," Arama said. "It's only a burden when it gets wet. That's why my master always makes sure it's dry after each cleaning before he uses it again." To Awnae, she said, "I've heard my master call it a 'silla de montar' and a 'saddle'. But when he's around the others, he calls it a saddle, so that's probably what it's supposed to be called."
