He nodded. "The universe has been here for an eternity. Time in and of itself is an eternity." He turned and looked at Demyx. "Many things so on forever"

"And you have power over time, right?"
The idea that his 'dad' had powers over something that had been around forever simply amazed him. Of course he was neglecting the fact that his own domain had existed for an eternity as well, but he just wasn't aware of that.

"To an extent." He nodded. "It is more i have a power over fate, but fate is closely linked with time. Though, when winning at a gamble it can seem as if time has stopped for you." He ruffled Demyx's hair.
"Did you not think of how long your powers have been around?"

The little one giggled as his hair was ruffled, reaching up with a paw to bat at Luxord.
"My powers? Erm...actually I haven't..."
He grinned, nervously rubbing at the back of his head.
"sorry..."

He nodded. "It is. Water has been around longer than life itself. Without water there is no life."

"Really?!"
Demyx stopped, staring up at Luxord in utter surprise.
"Butbutbut....if it's so important...why can I control it?..."
Obviously Demyx didn't think he could, or deserved, to control something so powerful and ancient.

"You are important, so why not give you an important thing to controll"

He gave a slight purr as he was nuzzled, green eyes still watching Luxord closely.
"I'm not that important..."

Kaleb blushed a bit and frowned, he must be coming down with something. Devilishly cute? ANd did she just put a... collar, around his neck? He reached up to run his fingers along it. "I-I don't know what I'd ever be able to wear it with," he muttered idly, but didn't take it off. Without letting the furniture sink even the slightest in midair, he sighed and rested his head against the back of the couch as he slowly went through a couple breathing exercises to calm himself.
Felicia sighed as well. "I'm sorry, I over stepped my boundries I guess. Do you want me to leave? Because if I'm making you uncomfortable again I can go if that will make you feel any better." She slid her fingers through his hair again. To her, he seemed somewhat mad or frustrated. Felicia layed her head next to his and continued moving her fingers through his hair. "Kaleb, I'm not going to force you to tell me anything, I just want you to know I'll always be there if you need me. Alright?"
He smiled lopsidedly, and replied in a rather small and timid voice, "No, please don't leave if you don't want to, I appreciate the company." He was too shy to also say out loud that having her play with his hair was actually rather soothing. He wanted to close his eyes and enjoy it for awhile, but the thought made him feel a little guilty.
His smile faded a bit at that thought, and he glanced down at his fidgeting paws. "Did you want to practice for a bit longer?" He asked hesitantly.
"Mmm...do we have to practice right now? I mean I'm all for training the mind and body but I'd really rather stay like this for a while." She continued moving her hand through his hair. It was soft on her paws and made her smile.
She took this opportunity of closeness to snuggle next to Kaleb more pushing her body close to his. Felicia let out a yawn and rested her head closer to his, still moving her fingers through his hair. "Besides, I'm kinda tired anyway. This was sort of an eventful day. What with all the nervousness and falling off of things and all the sighs. Too much. I know training is important but so is rest."
Kaleb blushed predictably as she cuddled up to him, and felt the nervous knot reappear in his stomach. He hadn't ever been the object of such affectionate attentions before, and it was easy to say he hadn't even thought about it before that moment. Now he was torn between asking her to stop so he could regain his composure, and sitting still so he could enjoy it a little longer.
The second option won out, simply because he was too timid to be anything but agreeable. "I-I don't mind, if you want to rest a bit, I can get some reading done."

Demyx twitched an ear, staring back at Luxord's blue eyes.

She giggled as he blushed. Still as innocent as ever. Felicia couldn't say she didn't enjoy teasing him, but this was no tease, she was just very comfortable like this. Snuggling into him more she purred a bit, letting a sigh escape her mouth. "You are a very comfy pillow Kaleb. Now that I know this I doubt I could let anyone else use you for this." She gave his hair one last stroke before she wrapped her arms around him. "Aww...don't wanna sleep together with me?"
"I-I'm not really tired yet," He stuttered nervously in reply, wondering how she could find him comfortable. The mage had been under the impression that he hardly had enough muscle to cover his bones, let alone provide a decent pillow for anyone leaning on him.
He floated his new book over to the couch beside him, as much for the distraction as the desire to read.
"Well then, when you feel tired feel free snuggle with me." She snuggled up to him again, being sure to rub against him as much as possible, mostly because she liked physical contact...but also because seeing him nervous was just too cute to miss.
She looked at him...then the book...then his legs. She figured ge would be too busy reading to notice one of her hands moving slowly down and being placed on his leg, so she took this as a perfect opportunity and decided to do it. "Mmm...so comfy." She closed her eyes and a smile grew on her face, knowing that he'd probably freak out when he realized.
Kaleb doubted he would ever be able to scrape up enough courage to snuggle back, but he nodded idly anyway before immersing himself in magical modification of cell differentiation and induced repair. After a bit of time he nearly forgot to be nervous about Felicia being cuddled up against him. His pursuit of knowledge had pushed it firmly to the back of his mind, so it was nothing more than a mild awareness of that comfortably warm presence next to him.
He glanced up from his book once to snatch a piece of notepaper and a pencil from where they had floated through the air towards him, and proceeded to make notes on what he had been reading. Except... That was when he noticed where Felicia's hand had landed, and he jumped in such a startled manner that he nearly fell off the couch with a yelp.
She let out a little giggle, then sighed. "Oh Kaleb." Was all she could get out of her mouth. She hopped off the couch and decided now was a great time to have a little...'fun'. She moved her way ontop of Kaleb and stared down into his eyes. "See, now that you robbed me of a good pillow, I think I deserve a bed." Felicia laid herself ontop of Kaleb, being sure to make sure every bit of contact was made, snuggling up to him and clinging to him so he couldn't escape. "And no running away!"
The physical contact was a bit too much for Kaleb at that point, and without an escape route he simply froze up. His entire body stiffened and he closed his eyes tight, his near-panicked breathing was rapid and shallow. "Please..." he squeaked, looking rather pale.
She snickered a bit and stood up. "You're so innocent Kaleb. You can't tell me you haven't done...'things' before. You -have- haven't you?" She hadn't really thought about it, to her it looked like he had and was just very nervous about it still. Which was common with the people she seemed to find 'fun'.
When Kaleb realized exactly what Felicia was asking, his eyes went wide. He shook his head, but the question seemed to relax him somewhat and he was able to shyly glance away with a blush on his face. He didn't feel nearly as nervous now that he knew what Felicia was after.
She nearly died laughing, his reaction was priceless. "So sweet little Kaleb is a virgin?!" Felicia picked Kaleb up off the floor and sat him down on the couch, she soon joined him on there. "Have you even ever thought about it? Because I've met some innocent little guys before, but they had all thought about it." She started to wrap her arms around him and tickle his sides a bit. "You can be honest with me hon, I won't tell a soul!"

Kaleb squirmed away from her tickles, she was asking some pretty tricky questions and he didn't need her to know he was ticklish on top of all that. "I-It hasn't really crossed my mind so much..." he stuttered, still blushing and carefully avoiding looking her in the eye.
"Hasn't crossed it so much? That means it has before though right? Oh you have to tell me what you thought about it in your mind." She tickled him more. Felicia knew he wouldn't talk, but this was too much fun to stop.
Kaleb had to bite his lip to keep from giggling, and he squirmed a bit more. "I don't recall," he managed to get out, before stifling another giggle and renewing his efforts to wriggle away.
At this point she couldn't take it anymore, she latched onto Kaleb and squeed as loud as she could. "You're just so damn adorable Kaleb! I'll protect you forever!" She said as she nuzzled him lightly. Giggling a bit more she settled back into her seat. "You can keep reading if you want now, I'm done teasing you, I'm sorry."
Kaleb blinked a bit, not entirely sure how she had gone from all over him one instant to appologising for being a tease. He also settled back, fixing his shirt from where it had gotten ruffled in his squirming. After a moment of careful calculation he gave her a lopsided smile. "Now that I think about it, I do recall." He said cheerfully, as he pulled his book into his lap and looked down to continue where he had left off.
She cursed in her mind. He remembered? Was he the one in control and not her?! But...that doesn't make any sense! "You remember now? Aw...that's no fair, now you'll never tell me will you?" She whined a bit, but still stayed settled in her spot looking over Kaleb and his book. He was something to be admired really. Innocent and intelectual...what a combo.
Kaleb's lopsided smile grew a bit wider, Felicia's reaction confirmed his calculations, and left him feeling much more comfortable in her presence. He looked up from the book he hadn't really been reading. "There isn't much to tell, really." He said in a voice that was more sincere than his earlier cheerful tone. He looked a little hesitant then, and couldn't quite meet her eyes. Although it made him nervous, the admission would be his apology for doing his own teasing. "Before I moved out here I had a friend kiss me. I just wished he could have kissed me again sometime."
When Felicia heard what Kaleb said she nearly died at the flood of mental images. Another guy with Kaleb!? Oh lord, this kid was just too perfect to be true! She wanted to squeal and giggle, but felt this was a perfect oportunity to try something else. She put a paw under his chin and moved his head towards her. Moving closer to him she grew a big smile. If that's what he wanted, then that's what he'd get. Felicia put her other paw around Kaleb's head and pulled him into a kiss.
After Felicia had pulled away she snickered. "Now, did your other friend kiss you like I did...or did he not use tongue?" It was all she could do not to fall to the floor laughing after saying that. Pausing for a moment she looked at a clock in the room. "So much for today's training. Shall we head back to the mall now...or?" She left that or there incase she had prior peaked Kaleb's interests.
Kaleb froze, blushed, and lifted one hand to his lips. "H-he d-did, actually," he muttered from behind his hand. After a quick second to regain his mental balance, he let his hand fall, and turned just enough to see what Felicia had been looking at. "W-we could go back, maybe Demyx and Luxord are still there."
He stood on somewhat shaky legs, and looked over at her with a thoughtful expression. "But you should probably change first."

She let out a slight mew-sound. "Do I have to change? I kind of like your clothes." Hopping off the couch and standing up, stretching her back out. "Oh, I hope they are." This'll be a nice bitchslap to that bearded nay-sayer.
She turned and looked at Kaleb again. "So...who's kiss was better...mine or his? Cause that was me just getting started hon! You haven't see anything just yet..." Felicia snickered a bit, wiggling her tail in the air, snagging the leash that was meant for Kaleb, and moving towards the door.
Kaleb continued to look thoughtful. "I guess you could keep the shirt, it's too large for me anyway. But I'd like to change, the air conditioning in the mall was a bit too chilly for my liking."
At her second question, he just smiled lopsidedly. "I can't decide." Without another word, he ducked into his room and managed to find a black turtleneck. The sleeves were a little long, but it would be warmer than his usual shirts. Once he was satisfied, he took off the collar she had given him, doublechecked to make sure he had his apartment keys, and rejoined her near the door.
Felicia gave him a little smile and waved him off. "Okay sweetie, I'll wait for you!" After Kaleb left she fumed a bit. "Can't decide? He's teasing me, I know he is...but...dammit! I can't play second fiddle to someone I don't even know. But, what can I do? I don't know who that person was to him or how good of a kiss it was and...GAWWWWWWD this is going to-..." She then realized Kaleb returned while she was in mid-rant. "Eh...heh. Shall we go then?" She laced her arm with his and started back to the mall.
Kaleb didn't quite catch the end of her monologue, but it must have been something she didn't want him to hear anyway. He promptly put it out of his mind.
When they got to the mall, the mage freed his arm so he could hold the door for Felicia. "Were we going to pick up your pet?" he asked, looking around and trying to remember where the pet store was.
Felicia aww'ed as Kaleb opened the door for her. "You're such a sweetheart!" She giggled. "Hmm? ... Oh yes! My sweet little I-Babbit! Lets go retreve her then." Lacing her arm with his again she tried to get Kaleb to skip a bit with her. Just to see if he'd do it.
Kaleb quickly found himself being pulled along faster than he expected, and he nearly stumbled. He wondered why Felicia would hold onto him if she wanted to go skip a bit. "We might want to keep an eye out for Demyx and Luxord on our way." He said, adjusting his glasses with his free hand.
Felicia's pace slowed as Kaleb talked about the others. "Hey Kaleb...sweety...what are those two guys to you anyway? I mean...are they friends or something else. Because that beard-guy seemed a bit over protective." She looked over at him, her expression frowning a bit at the thought of that...peircy...facial hair having...weirdo's hands all over Kaleb.
Kaleb smiled lopsidedly. "Demyx was my first friend here. Although I don't know Luxord much at all, Demyx trusts him a lot, so I think I could trust him." He paused, chewing his lip thoughtfully before smiling again. "Perhaps he's just overprotective because he's used to watching out for Demyx."
She sighed a bit. "If you say so. I just...he was sort of mean to me. I don't really know why, I was being nice, and I was being myself. I guess he just doesn't like me too much..." She failed to mention that she didn't like him much either. "Oh well! Nothing we can do about that anyways..."
