"Ya wanna practice that much?" He locked the door behind them and headed for the garage and his car.

Kaleb nodded as he followed Riley to the garage. "I really enjoy it, a-and there used to always be people to practice with where I learned magic. It's hard to find people to practice with here..."

Kaleb sighed a bit. "I've already figured them out, and I can't keep one around long enough for it to learn how not to go after me. They don't have the complex problem solving and logical reasoning other people have."

"Not smart enough..." Kaleb muttered, waiting until Riley unlocked the passenger side door before slipping in. "They were scary, but now there's no challenge."

"Regardless of the reason, it's not good practice for me to work with them anymore." Kaleb tugged at his seatbelt a bit, irritated at the way it rubbed against his neck.

He continued to laugh as he drove. "Or you could get a whole pack of them and try that?" They seemed to get smarter the more of them there were. "Or ya could order something else from the labs"

Kaleb glanced over at him. "Y-you mean there are other things?" He asked, looking a little cautious and a little nervous. If they were just as scary as the shadow creatures had been originally, he might still have a lot of work ahead of him.

Kaleb squirmed uneasily and pulled at the seatbelt a bit more. "Don't, please..." he said, hoping his partner wouldn't press on and try to freak him out.

"I will see them, I just don't need you to scare me first." Kaleb snapped softly, getting out once the car was parked. He didn't know why Riley liked to pick on him so much, it wasn't fun.
