I really like that one, Tom. I can't think of a visual title for it, though - when I look at it, I think of the quick strokes your hand must have been making and relate it to the swift movements of a string player performing aggravated music. Something like, "Presto Agitato" which means very fast and agitated. (Or "Allegro Agitato" for fast and agitated, or "Prestissimo Agitato" for extremely fast and agitated.)

On that musical note, I was wondering if I could get people's opinions on a 3-minute music demo I put together, of my undergrad work:

My goal was to showcase my skill as a composer (not my commercial "emotional" capabilities - that will go into my Piano-Only Demo, haha) - mostly my ability to write a memorable melody and work with a variety of instruments (I hope). XD

If anyone has the time, think you could let me know what you think of:

- The length of the samples (were the clips too long?)
- The order and flow of them
- Was anything memorable? Did anything strike you enough to want to hear the whole piece?
- If you had the money, would you hire me?

I do too, it just turned out so well for being my first time using ink.
I don't really want to sell it but at the same time I want to start making money back for all of the art supplies.

lol I didn't use quick strokes, I was actually just relaxed and fluent with my movement, especially with the feather.
And I didn't need the know the the translation for those agitato, I've watched enough Little Einstein with my brother's kids to learn something. sweatdrop

I think the length of the samples were good, I'd personally have a cleaner edit in making them merge better or so that it's a different piece. And also if possible have it where the pieces aren't abruptly dropped off.
But that's just me. sweatdrop
I think the flow could be a bit better in the beginning again though this is my opinion.

I can't really say if anything was memorable or striked me, only because I'm biased and have heard a lot of them before. sweatdrop

I'd hire you if money wasn't an issue. xp

So, I should fade things in and out more slowly? Okay, I'll try that.

What about the flow in the beginning didn't work for you? Was it the musical contrast between the pieces themselves, or just the way one faded out and the other faded in?

I found the flow between the first and second clips were too similar in feel that they don't work so good together imo.
And yeah I think the way they also faded in an out.

And no problem, you need feedback I'll give it if I and give it. razz

Sor - I adore how you colored this one. I like painty strokes where you can see how things were colored and what colors they were painted with, even though in your case it's because of how quickly you did it... My old AP Art teacher used to describe the process as, "You start off loose, you tighten it up, then you go back and loosen things up again." x3

Tom - Wow, that's impressive. You've improved a lot since you started taking those art classes.

You think that's impressive wait until I actually take a life drawing class. lol
I've drawn enough ******** hand this semester though to last me a year. gonk

Fall Semester I plan on taking beginning ceramics and intermediate to advanced design and colour.
Hopefully Ariel can get those two classes with me because it's so damn fun making art with her. heart
