Thank you! Her bio description says she's short and curvy in a way that makes other girls think she's chubby, so that explains her proportions in case that throws you off. :]

Waltz for Luma Thank you! Her bio description says she's short and curvy in a way that makes other girls think she's chubby, so that explains her proportions in case that throws you off. :] But she's not curvy, she looks like she's 12. Her neck and arms are very thin, her curves are pretty much non-existent. I googled "curvy girl" and I guess I found some results that isn't flat-out porn. Look at these women: http://www.sundaegirls.com/traffic/1359.jpg and here the girl on the right http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2008/04/05/majthreegirls_wideweb__470x393,0.jpg . They're obviously not fat, but because of their firm boobs and hips they look nothing like the average model. I haven't drawn any humanoids in years, so I can't really do a draw-over or anything to make my point any clearer and you're absolutely a better artist than I'll ever be, I hope you can take this as constructive feedback. gonk

I drew another picture of the girl from before (With the hips and the sherbert colors) and tried to edit her proportions a bit (larger breasts and waist to balance the hips), while still keeping in mind that she's supposed to be smaller in breasts and waist than the hips. It cuts off before the hips, because they weren't supposed to be the main focus this time...but I hope the idea comes across anyway.

Haha, I should've also mentioned that she's of a normal weight, not that she's actually chubby.
I can see how she looks younger, but like Reddy said earlier, curvy doesn't mean everything on your body has to be bigger, so maybe you're stereotyping too much? Consider that her body is hidden by a young, innocent looking dress so you can't see her thick thighs or the extent of her hips. I think her arms are a normal, healthy-looking size - for "thin" arms, see the female captain I sketched above her.
I like the woman on the right in the second picture you posted, but the problem with all of those models is that they look tall. People who are shorter but "curvy" often get mistaken for someone younger because of their small size, and how their pudgier bodies and rounder faces can project a childlike image despite their womanly features. I actually imagine Damiet, being a short and cute girl, would get that all the time.
...in other words, thanks a lot and I'll definitely consider your feedback for next time (really, much appreciated). But for now, I stand by my drawing.

Sorry, you said curvy so I thought you meant curvy all around and not just curvy at the parts you can't see in your sketch.
I guess I'm only pointing out flaws in you two's drawings of people who do not have model-like proportions. It's not like I have a fetish for curvy women, there's just no feedback to be delivered on your normal work, because that is what you are good at. You can draw a straight, thin woman, but after that it just gets harder and it also gets harder to see why something looks off. Drawing from life will help a lot with this, of course.

Well, I am tempted to try sketching an all-around curvy woman now... it seems like fun. Ever looked at the artwork of Loish? http://loish.deviantart.com/gallery/They're not "all-around curvy" but I love how she draws her girls.

I do not understand how Aivi manages Facebook Graffiti so well.
This is the best I can do with it. ):

I think Aivi manages it so well because it's in her blood. ninja Sister 2 and 3 are just as talented. 3nodding I love your stuff so much Casey, it's soft yet dark a lot of the time, but you also can do the cutest things. Did some ink drawings today, only posting one here you'll have to check the others out either on facebook or deviantart. FacebookDeviantart

Nice! Purple this time, eh? For some reason, I don't like the circular motion of the light purple in the background on this one. I seems to define too much where the rest of your strokes are going to go, and the shape in which it fills the page isn't satisfying to my eye... Maybe someone who knows the technical terms can point out what I'm trying to say a little better... I love those colors, though. From your DevArt, I like "The Dancing Dragon" and "Murder on Ferris Road." ---- I did some more doodles of my scar-faced Sheikah woman. Her name is Lanna Rane, by the way, known to her friends as "Boomer." I guess I should mention her name since I draw her so much... XD This is the outfit I designed for her back in high school, next to her latest look. Broken family portrait... They meet in pajamas, because they meet in their dreams.
