"Not a problem, as long as you don't get lightheaded easily." She swung her leg over her broom and looking up to the sky. "It's been a while..." She glanced over at him and smiled. "You ready?"

"Yes, but my broom's another matter entirely," answered Ray, kicking off to no avail, and hopping on the ground instead. Finally, the broom hovered slightly, and Ray jerked it upwards to get it to start flying. "Let's go."

Desiree chuckled and reached up, grabbing his hand. "Hold on tight." She kicked off from the ground hard, shooting up to the top of the Quidditch Pitch, dragging Ray along. Luckily for him, her broom was strong, brand new, and could handle another person behind it.

Ray inhaled sharply and squeezed Desiree's hand until they reached the top. He grinned. "Go on. Show off some more with your fancy broom," he said, jerking his head at the goals.

"Gladly." Releasing his hand, she shot off towards the goals, weaving in and out of the holes, making a few rather well controlled sharp turns. She zipped through the field, close enough to Ray to catch him in the breeze, and stopped short a few feet away.

Ray whooped as they went through the holes and beamed at Desiree. "Remind me again why they," he said, indicating the Great Hall, "would rather be cooped up in there than here? Flying?"

"Because they don't know what they're missing." She gave him a playful look and glanced out towards the lake. "Want to get out of the pitch, fly around somewhere not so closed in?"

Ray looked at her doubtfully, eyebrows drawn together as always when he was worried. "I don't think we're allowed to do that, Desiree. We might get in trouble if we're found out."

Desiree frowned. "Yes...I know...but my poor broom is dieing here." She pouted a little and ran her fingers down the broomstick, giving an innocent glance at Ray.

"Well..." Ray looked away. Desiree's pout usually made him give in. Actually, anyone's pout could make him give in. "You can borrow mine, then," he answered weakly, his voice making it apparant that Ray was ready to cave.

She hmphed, crossing her arms over her chest. "And abandon my baby, I think not." She grinned. "You're crafty, you want to try my broom out for yourself don't you?" She flew up next to him and grabbed on to the school broom he was sitting on. "Fine, you can ride it for a little while, jus tdon't hurt her too much."

Ray smiled. "I'll try not to," he said, sliding onto Desiree's broom. When they had traded places, Ray shot forward and spun around the pitch twice, unaccustomed to such a fast broom. He stopped after his two circuits. "That was brilliant," he said, hoarsely.

Desiree laughed lightly. So that was what she looked like on the broom. A motion blur...She hovered in place, trying her best to keep her balance as she was circled. "That's why I she's my baby." She patted it lovingly and looked to Ray. "I suppose we ought to head in soon. The others are going to wonder where we got off to. Luckily for me, I don't have Jessica's reputation."

Ray nodded. "I suppose. But it's not like either of us would ever be involved in that sort of thing anyway," he added, taking Desiree's hand and diving to the ground.

Desiree gripped his hand tightly, having quite a time keeping her broom underneath her. She was glad to return to the ground, and allowed the broom to weakly drop onto the grass. "That's true. We're not hormonally blind enough for that."
