If there had been another colored Astray, who do you think would have gotten it and what kind of modifications would it have received?

Well, read the fic's prologue and you'll see how it all ended up.
Basically, everything you saw in Episode 1 of Seed happened.

Starcloud If there had been another colored Astray, who do you think would have gotten it and what kind of modifications would it have received? There would NOT be another "color" frame. Think about it, Red, Yellow, Blue. The primary colors. If they WERE to do one, it would be the Silver frame to accommodate for the white color we see on most common Gundams nowadays. This would be the one designed for ranged combat - Dunno if you've noticed but the other three frames were lacking in firepower somewhat. And as a ranged combat unit, would end up in the hands of ZAFT and somehow make its way to Dearka Elthman.

If the back part of Gundam Astray Volume 3 is to be believed (and since this is the writer of Astray talking about how Astray came to be), then there were originally plans to have Grey Frame and Green Frame Astrays appear in the story.

Well, let's see.
Gold = Command
Red = Natural-use
Blue = Coordinator-use
That's all that is covered with the three basic Astrays. So, if Orb were to do what the Alliance has done, they need the following:
Heavy Weapons
Transformation
Special Operations
And perhaps:
Underwater-use
Reconnaissance
High Mobility

I hear the Gundam Astray Out Frame that appears in SEED Destiny Astray was found in a ZAFT facility shortly after the war by the Junk Guild, so there's another model of Astray (it's painted in standard Gundam hero red, white, and blue) that could have been modified.

RySH Well, let's see. Gold = Command Red = Natural-use Blue = Coordinator-use That's all that is covered with the three basic Astrays. So, if Orb were to do what the Alliance has done, they need the following: Heavy Weapons Transformation Special Operations And perhaps: Underwater-use Reconnaissance High Mobility Blue Frame has the underwater part covered thanks to its equippable "option parts", red has high mobility, and the gold has recon out of the way what with it's mix of parts from one of the X-numbers.

Out Frame also has Recon covered. It looks recon-y and its only known "weapon" is a Camera Gun.

Starcloud I made a Green Frame. The color looks a bit funky, but it's armed with all kinda of fun stuff. Link? surprised

Out Frame also has a Material Blade i heard. but if we look closely in the backpack it looks llike if it had a beam saber.
