Floor 8Jordan moved to the back of the group, watching behind them and making sure nobody lagged back. "Let's get out of here." Once they were all in the stairwell, he closed the door behind them with perhaps a little more force than he quite needed to.

Otto's approach was quickly noticed by Kat, to which she welcomed with a grin. Still enjoying those cat eared beanies Otto? Hmmm?
Relieved to have another hunter up here with them, Kat turned her attention back to the doctor, listening carefully to what he had to say. "Fifteen.. years?" Okay, he was either really having an off day, or this was definitely the wrong guy. Either way, best get him back to Mark.
The sudden movement behind Doctor H--or rather, Irwin--was enough for Kat to summon her weapons. Though before she could even fire them, H quickly and calmly disposed of the problem. Kat was more or less horrified.
Well, at least that answered her question on how he had survived this long. Then again, if he really was Dr H, should she be that surprised?
Though his reaction on realizing what he had done had caught her off guard completely. "What..?" Casting Ami another glance, she hesitantly stepped towards Irwin, and patted him on the back. "I-its okay, that was a good thing you did, right?" She looked to Otto and Ami. Right guys? Right? "Anyways, like Ami said, we should at least get moving."

He stared at Kat, expression lost and bewildered, "But I'm a pacifist! I value life in all its forms! I don't do things like that, and I sure as hell don't enjoy them!" He paused and then exclaimed, growing steadily more distraught, "For god's sake, I'm a vegan!"

15 years... and he seemed more bubbly than H. Maybe it was some kind of mind wash scam happening here. He'd heard cubicle workers were totally screwed in the head, anyway. Otto flinched when " Irwin" killed the sudden zombie, staring wide eyed for a moment at the carnage. Gross. So, so gross. It had him rubbing his own neck to really appreciate it's being whole and all. "Uh, yeah. Hawaiian shirts are pretty much a sin on humanity, so...."

Eyes wide, he stared incredulously at Otto, "Why are you people taking this so lightly? I just killed a man with my bare hands. There is literally blood on my hands." He glanced back down at them, expression crumbling, "Oh my god, Marie is going to divorce me. No...no I should just leave her first, I'm not safe to be around."

Wilson grimaced when he heard Mark's voice crackled through the headset. Oops. Guess it was time to go. He gestured for everyone to follow him toward the elevator. "Be on your guard, alright?"

Floor 8 -> IN TRANSIT DOWNWARD!
Jerry was just relieved their end of the mission seemed to be accomplished. He just hoped the others were fairing as well. He hurried after Rep and the two not-division leads, not glancing at Jordan as they hustled down the stairs. At least going down was easier than going up, and they weren't being chased by anything... yet.
That was always a plus.

It was a good thing that zombies didn't know how to use stairs. Maybe it was the opening door handles thing.
"Oh crap!" the not-quite Death lead with a missing name tag suddeny stopped, lagging behind. "I forgot my wallet, and it's almost three o'clock, and the bagels go on sale a three for half price if I bring in my reciept. I'll be right back, then."
Turning to leave, he paused. "Anyone else want anything."
"I want a bagel too!" Allen shouted.
A sigh. "What kind."
"Sesame, no wait, poppyseed, no, half sesame half poppyseed with cream cheese and jam."
"Okay." Pause. "Do you have your receipt, because I only have one in my wallet, so unless you have a second-"
-"I don't mind paying full price," Allen interrupted. "Those guys work hard for their money, they deserve every penny."
"Okay," continued stapler guy slowly. "I'll get my wallet, and my reciept, turn off the photocopier, come back, get my first aid kit, get two bagels one regular lightly toaster and one half sesame half poppyseed with cream cheese and jelly - and I should be back in fifteen minutes."

Rep snapped into action with the kind of reflexes only afforded a man at the very end of his rope. He leapt up the stairs a few at a time until he could seize the arm of stapler guy, his voice brisk with thinly restrained anger.
"No. No ******** bagels. We are going downstairs right now or I will ******** knock you out and carry you down like a ******** woman ok."

Jordan sighed quietly at his place at the back of the group. He summoned Ferros, allowing the weapon's considerable size to block the way back up the stairs. "We need to be going downstairs, please," he said pleasantly.

"Hey, I know a GREAT bagel place we can go, just follow us- it's got the best whitefish salad like you wouldn't believe-" Jerry hoped another tactic might help, giving both men a wobbling smile as he hurried backward down the steps.

"You should have just left him, man." There was the sound of Mark hi-fiveing someone in the background. "You know it's still optional right, like the mission didn't say bring back all the leads, just some. Heavy emphasis on some."
"Yeah," interrupted stapler guy," but it's not the bagel store. Plus only this chain carries Sumatra coffee, and Starbucks Sumatra is terrible, it doesn't have the same full, earthy taste as what it should taste like and ow-" This was in referral to Rep. "Why couldn't you grab the non-injured arm. I'm going to have to write you up because this is a direct violation of employee conduct in the Employee Conduct Guidebook, September 13th edition, page 16, paragraph 6."
Allen had gone back to taking the challenge of walking the stairs and playing his iphone game at the same time, loudly. He was going to get a bagel either or, and he was okay with this.

Rep was starting to agree with Mark. Cael was great most of the time when you needed a localised disaster to point at the enemy, but in this current state, trying to get between him and a bagel and now ******** coffee, he was not quite having as much fun.
"Because the non injured arm wouldn't have the same ******** effect." he bristled.
Quoting office rules at him reminded him exactly why he'd never worked a legal day in his life, and snapped his patience.
"Ok it's the hard ******** way then." he said, and leaned over to try and pick stapler guy up and sling him unceremoniously over his shoulder.

Stapler person seemed to weigh a lot more than they appeared to be, but probably because they were carrying a stapler, or something. They didn't quite make it over Rep's shoulder, and at some point might have kicked Rep right in the face with some struggling and demands about employer rights, before the lack of balance sent him topping off, and doing a small half-flip that resulted on landing on his back and sliding down a few stairs.
Thankfully he went down hard, and might have been knocked unconscious.
"I would give that landing a two out of ten," remarked Allen, still playing his iphone game. Baneful You must now carry "stapler guy" down the stairs - congratulations. Carrying him renders you unable to use your weapon in combat

Rep knew Deaths were generally slippery to begin with, so he probably should have known that grabbing Cael, even delusional would not be a task without its perils. When he ended up with a boot to the face he let go with a cry of pain and only aided the flip he couldn't stop as he careened downstairs. He could only cringe as the man hit the steps and guiltily edged down to eye him before carefully picking him up.
"He's um. He's just unconscious." he said apologetically to Jerry, Jordan, and by extension Mark while princess carrying the startlingly heavy man. He was still just a little unsettled by his injury, wary in case he turned zombie while he was carrying him, though zombie was probably less scary than if he turned back to normal. "I probably owe him a bagel and whatever a Sumatra coffee is later." Or rather, he owed avoiding him completely for a few months maybe years.
"At least we can proceed?"
