I'm really used to drawing adults, and so I spent five hours the other night sketching childlike proportions until I got it right.

Soooo cute, you two! They look kinda similar -- like sisters. It's funny. (:

Very adorable Casey, Shawna. Some one sure likes summer dresses. xd First real attempt at doing a decent background. Avatar and drawing made for a RP I'm playing in.

Wow, you did a good job on the background. Mooody! I think the boob looks kinda lopsided but still good job with the character and the designs on the leg.

Sketch, ink, scan...

...next comes the line art cleanup. (Hands down my least favorite step in the process.)

Xan, that is so awesome. I love the armor and the links in her dress! <3

Danke.
I can't take entire credit on the outfit, as it's pretty much the gear my priest is wearing, so it's actually Blizzard designed. Now, figuring out how it would look at certain angles and taking artistic license on what details to personalize... yeah, that's all me.
And the chains... UGH, THE CHAINS!! After doing a six-winged angel many years ago I thought there'd never be a detail I hated more than feathers. There weren't even half as many chain links and they drove me crazy! (Though perhaps it's due to the wings having been relatively straight on with varying sizes in spots, while the chains had to mold to the contour of the dress... )
Either way, I looks forward to finishing the cleanup and laying down the colors. I think this time I'll go with a cel-shaded look. Who knows...
Here's a rough idea of color placement... LINK! Now, why don't I just go off that for coloring it in? Well, it may not look it in the previews, as they've been shrunk, but the lineart is horribly jagged for the size I'm working in. Once cleaned up it's going to look faaaaaaaar better.

Drawing over doing homework. A much needed stress reliever. Also I haven't drawn in so long, so I needed some practice as well. I'm upset with myself that I ******** up on shading her chin. Other then that, I like how it turned out. I probably will redo this when next I draw, so I don't fill so bad about screwing up. Took my friend Nicole's profile pic and stylized it into a pen drawing. It was fun using a poor quality webcam photo as reference. heart

I actually thought the shading on the chin was intentional. It's really cool, Ryo! I like shading like that.

Thanks Sevi. Here's another one that I had done at the end of the summer. My cousin's daughter that just turned 12 this last summer. First time that I've drawn a younger face in what I normally do, it was a challenge; especially doing blonde hair. I'd do a drawing of you sevi, but you never post pictures. xp

Sometimes I have to start a new picture in order to get my mind back into the game. My last image is still coming along, I just felt I needed a side project that wasn't a blood elf.

That's Valgav's orc. He beats up gnomes.
