"That's what it means to be siblings."
"That's what a pack is. But high ones, wolves have this many pups, not elves..."

"Highones?" Swordfall asked, curious.
"The highones are our ancestors, the first comers to our... well the world we came from."

"Pack! Wolves! Ayoooo!" The young cub tilted his head up and let out a little howl.

"Night Night..." Woodshot drifted off to sleep, snoring softly.

*Petalwing was changed like we were,* Nightfall had sent to cutter when Leetah ran off. She waited long enough for cutter to finish swearing. she didn't have to hear him to know what he was doing. *Petalwing came to get Leetah, apparently she's needed for a healing.* she added while talking to and cuddling with her babies.
Cutter raced past as Woodshot drifted off to sleep. He skidded to a silent stop. *Nightfall?* he sent looking at the cubs that were cuddling against the new parents.
*Apparently we breed like wolves now too, these are my pups,* she sent proudly.
*Skywise....* "cutter sent wide eyed.
*Is in for quite the surprise.* Redlance chuckled quietly.
*If skywise has even two,* Nightfall commented, *We'll have the most cubs we've ever had at one time.*
*Highones,* Cutter whispered.
*Go to Leetah, we'll introduce you to the cubs when you are both back safe,* nightfall encouraged.
Cutter nodded but hesitated a moment longer, torn between his longing to go to his mate, his curiosity, and his lack of desire to be in the same forest as that annoying bug. *how long were you...*
*With cub?* Nightfall asked with a gentle chuckle. *Less then a hand of hours. Perhaps less then a hand of minutes.*
*So fast...* Cutter breathed.
*Time moves oddly in this new world,* Nightfall commented.
*Especially as Tyleet is growing faster then the twins,* Redlance put in affectionately.
*Who has the twins?* Nightfall asked.
*New Wolf and Two Moons,* Cutter responded.
*When our cubs awaken, we'll bring them for Ember and Suntop to meet then,* Nightfall assured him. *Now go, Leetah is exhausted.*
*she is?* Cutter asked. *why?*
*She helped with the birth.* Nightfall saw the remark in Cutter's eyes and kicked his leg lightly before he could say it. *Go to her.*
Cutter nodded and raced off, following the scent trail of his mate.
And that was how when Skywise and Caelestra came down from the hill, there was no one around. Bloodhunt was hunting, New Wolf, Two Moons, and the cubs were resting up in the tree. And before Skywise knew what was happening, his cubs were born, and even more alarming, scattered, Caelestra vanishing after one of them, leaving him sitting on the roots of New Father tree, stunned.

Woodshot woke up and yawned, smelling around for anything new. "Nothing new...wait...stranger..." He sniffed some more. "Smells different, but not different..."

Swordfall woke up and tumbled over o him. "What stranger?"
"Cubs," nightfall grunted softly, "If the sun is up, we are not."
Redlance chuckled. "I could take them to New father tree, love."
"And carry them all yourself?" she asked, getting up with a groan. "No, we might as well both go, but quite during the day cubs," *more silent then a breeze.*
