Kat remembered that she was dressed just for him. She didn't want to waste her dress but she needed to get her homework before she freaked out tottally and completly transformed, and that would ruin the nice dress that he had bought her. She stood up and walked over to the bags where she had some more clean new clothes. She quickly shimmied out of the dress and pulled on the first pair of jeans and a blue tee. Her ears slowly disapeared and she turned back to Curtis with a slight smile.

Jeff continued to smile at the Aurora. "Hows life going for you, girl?"

"It's been... interesting." She attempted another smile as she pushed away the memory of being extracted from the tree and the evil squirrel.

"What do you say you and I go and make it more interesting?" Yakov winked at Aurora.

Luka smacked him across the chest. "You are such a man whore. She's not even been sitting her for two minutes. What the hell is wrong with you?"

Connor smirked as he watched Luka smack Yackov from a distance. Served him right, whatever he had done. He didn't know if he could ever forgive that wolf for destroying his car. But at least... he hadn't destroyed his family like others had. Connor shook his head and sipped at his coke as he walked back to the table.
Aurora looked uncomfortable and Connor scowled. Was that Yakov's doing? If so, he kinda hoped that Luka would smack him again.

Curtis smiled and extended his arm for Katra to take. Arm-in-arm, they walked out to the car.
"Just make sure to let me know when you're hungry again," he told her. "I intend to take the best of care of you."

Aurora couldn't even manage a smile that time. She had to leave... NOW!
She stood up at once. Then she realized that this behaviour would seem odd to them.
"I uh... I have to go to class... I just remembered. I'm going to be late." She didn't look back, didn't pick up her tray, just took off.

Aurora nearly knocked Connor over as she rushed past. Apparently Luka's smack hadn't helped her feel better. His brow dipped into a scowl as he neared the table.
"What the hell did you do to her?!"

Kat glared at him and quickly removed her arm from his. "I'm not some pet that you can just care for!" She slumped down into the passenger side seat and continued to glare out the window.

Jeff just rolled his eyes at the whole situation. He got up and walked out of the room. He went outside and sat down under a a small tree.

She may as well have slapped him in the face. For all the doting on her that he had done the last thing Curtis had expected was from Katra was such an outburst. But... maybe she was right. Katra was a werewolf, after all. It wasn't as if she was a fragile human. Perhaps he had over-stepped a boundary that he hadn't known existed.
"I did not mean..."
But she was glaring out the window. She probably did not want to talk to him. With a sigh, Curtis backed out of the driveway and headed back into town.

Connor scowled at Yakov. Sure, he wasn't Casanova himself, but at least he viewed women as more than objects. Chalk that up as another reason to hate this jerk.
"No wonder she's so jumpy," Connor mumbled as he slipped into his seat.

Aurora didn't go to class, didn't go to the park... she ran straight up to her room and curled up in a ball on top of her bed. It didn't matter that Connor at least knew where she was at... she just had to get away someplace she felt comfortable... someplace she could be alone without crazy squirrels and people yelling at her...

"You know what." Luka glared at Yakov. "You need to leave. Don't look at me like that, I'm serious. I don't want you in my sight right now. Did you here me? OUT!" She pointed at the door.

Yakov was not about to stick around for this. He wandered outside anf saw Jeff sitting under a tree. "Ah, what the hell." He went over a sat next to Jeff. "Dude, man. I just don't get her."

Kat continued to glare out the window. Half way to school she was starting to regret snapping at Curtis but she wasn't some object or jewel to be taken care of. She slumped down farther into her seat and started to feel like an a**.

They were nearly to the school now. He signed again.

Once again, he was somehow alone with Luka. But Connor wasn't as uneasy this time. As much as he hated to use it to his advantage, he had a feeling that Luka wouldn't be to... violent... as long as he was injured.

"Yeah...well...you...if...I...well...I don't...what..." Yakov was a little pissed. Why did everyone think that they knew better than he did? Where did they get off telling him what he should and shouldn't do? He glared into Jeff's eyes trying to say something intelligent, but his brain wasn't working. God, he had to do something. He probably looked stupid stammering like this. Damn it. How could he fix this? All of the sudden, he found himself kissing Jeff.

Luka rested her head on Connor's shoulder. "How on Earth did I end up with such a moron of a brother? He acts like he can just get sex whenever he wants...just like that...as though people don't have feelings and he can do whatever he wants with them. It pisses me off." She rubbed her temples.

Jeff was a little surprised, he hadn't expected Yakov to anything like this but Jeff wasn't complaining. He just put a hand on Yakovs cheek and closed his eyes, leaning into the kiss.

Kat cast a glance over at Curtis and couldn't stay angry. "It's just..." She sighed and watched the window as they pulled near the school. As they parked she turned to Curtis and didn't know how to apologize. "I'm...uh..."
