Bix was swept up, as everyone else was, by the mass of fog and as it drifted away he saw the figure in the distance and the swirling vortex.
"Julie?" Bix frowned. "No." Thankfully, despite the slight pang he felt, the albino knew this wasn't her. He felt washed over with memory of his last time in the fog. Only minutes before he'd 'died' Bix had faced her again and finally, finally, felt something akin to closure.

He was about to turn his wild hip gyrations into an all-out body shake, when a blissful expression crossed his elf's face and the little creature began to fade away, its fog rejoining the mist that made up that human with the crowns.
Rep beamed at Harrison as he joined him and Jordan, oblivious to his darker mood, giddy himself on thoughts of winding up Tracey and adrenaline from the relief of Jordan being okay. He was practically bouncing on the spot as he watched Harrison get stuck into the little b*****d. It freed him up, enough to look around and think.

He eyed Julie thoughtfully, then the endlessly spawning elves, and decided, his was dead, Jordan's was well under control - Harrison had proven himself a more than ******** capable elf exterminator, it was like he had a grudge - so there was leeway to strike at the heart of the problem.
Smacking the fog shield around Julie took him back to the sahara, when his life had been so much more unstable and out of control. Now he had things that mattered, and he would fight with every ******** inch of strength he had towards keeping those things.
But this close he could see the crowns.
And the world, moments before balanced and controlled, angled out of control.
Yeah he remembered the desert all right, skulking like a hopeless pup that needed some table scraps, useless and worthless. Pitiable. He wasn't much better now, how could he hope to win here when he couldn't even win in spars against people a fraction of his age?

The elf leapt at him, grabbing Bix's leg and beginning to tug him to the vortex. It was small, no threat really, except the archer was being pulled successfully.

All the elves were gone, AJ stood firm and looked towards the direction of the vortex. The ghoul. She was the one who summoned the elves and gave him such a bad feeling. The boil started at the ghoul in great anger, he released his fists and let the blood soaking into his lengthened fingernails. He yelled at the ghoul. "It's YOU! Right? Your fault for all of this!" When he noticed that a dagger was on the ground, he picked it up and let the bloods immersed into it and then he threw it hard towards the ghoul. "HAVE THIS!"

The elf simply dissolved off of his leg and Bix blinked several times. He almost stalled in his attack as his gaze was drawn to the tray and the glittering crowns sitting on it.
He was mesmerized and a thousand thoughts began to bounce around his skull. They were thoughts that were unwelcome on the battlefield. What was he even doing here? Were his intentions pure? Was he simply a young man with a death wish? Did he really want to protect his friends or merely show them how much more capable he was at sacrifice? What was he proving to anyone?
Bixy snap out of it.
The archers fingers sagged from his bowstring as he was tugged towards the crowns.
SNOWFLAKE! ATTACK!
Mina practically blasted his brain, enough to send Bix instinctively to the attack. He fired a volley into the fog-figure and gained enough of a mental break to dash backwards and away from the vortex.

As a result, he ended up taking a blow instead.

Everything else happened in a blink of an eye. One moment she was considering sitting on the elf until its head popped--the next Wilson was sending the perfect kick to its face.

"Thank you, Wilson." Minerva stepped forward, breathless from all the non-strenuous activity she had been doing. Tough work being a trainee okay. Then she thought of his fleeting question, thinking of course she remembered him, what a silly thing to ask! But before she had a chance to say so, he was running off. Toward the boss. Like the BAMF he was.
For a moment she considered whether or not to follow him. Blythe seemed adamant about her staying as far away from that area as possible...

Sasha moved in close to attack, but it was a difficult thing to do with the crowns drawing her attention. They called to her, singing out their dark song of doubt, destruction, sadness. This was not Medea's work, but something different. The fog, the mists, everything seemed far too familiar, but Sasha simply couldn't look away, couldn't think of anything else but those crowns.
In her delusional state, she attacked.

The thing in the center, for some reason it frightened him to his very core. the elfs gave up their fight but the thing in the center was still smiling.
it still had the shiny crowns on the tray and the pull to grab one was stronger, the temptation was palpable when he pushed a hunter out of his line of sight. "Out of the way meatbag!"

With a rush, the fog-elf that had been tugging at her vanished, and Madison heaved a shaky sigh of relief. It had taken all her strength just to keep from moving forward a single inch... but now that she wasn't being pulled forward, she was in excellent position to get a hit on the giant... thing that looked like Julie.
... God, she hoped it wasn't her.
But the items the Julie-doppelganger was carrying, now... those were very interesting. Madison's gaze fixed on them, and her heart began to fill with indescribable emotion. They were so beautiful... and important. Yes, she could see that now. Even to hold one of those for a single moment would be a worthy goal in life...
Her first swing only just clipped the legs in front of her, thick as tree trunks, but she felt the fog loosen around her and jumped backwards, a bit of tension leaving her as she increased the distance between herself and the vortex. A wave of fog slammed into her, though, chewing at Kouki's FEAR shield. Clearly they weren't out of the woods yet.
- And then something else smacked her, hard. She whirled only to see a familiar hooded face. "Hey! Watch it!" ********, that hurt!
