Peyton winced as Kat slammed her food into the thing again, but she took the offered hand, smiling brightly. "Good to meet you. I believe I've heard of you from Otto, something about cat ears on his beanies." One of which she was now in possession of. She had to do a little mental math in regards to the pod question. "Yeah, longer then it feels. I woke up around 4 months ago. You? I mean you're obviously not a trainee, so I assume you've been here for quite a while."

Aaaand now Jack was officially on Ami's hit list. In an eerily silent move of her arms, the gun fell to the ground, and all 5'2 of her stomped over to where Jack's hulking height was.
She stood nearly toe to toe with him, looking up and pointing a finger at him. "Listen a*****e. Save for the labs, I would happily sacrifice any part of this island for my town. You seem to forget that some hunters' houses are out there. My entire livelihood is up in flames right now. So I'd REALLY appreciate it if you didn't speak so casually about letting my belongings take the hit for your precious training fields." She huffed and fought back the urge to knee him in the nuts and move on.
"So you know what? Next time the island's under attack, I'll let your dorm take the hit to protect my house, trainee." Her tone implied that his dorm wouldn't be the only thing to take a hit. It just wasn't a good day for Ami, not at all.

At the mention of Otto and her "handy work" to his beanies, Kat choked down some laughter. "Hah, he totally deserved that as well." No doubt, Otto had likely called her crazy or something. Not that she could blame him. Though, when he had messed with her coffee, he was asking for trouble.
"Oh, so you've been around for a bit then." Good, last thing the poor girl would need, was to wake up and be thrown into this chaos. "Ummm.." She scratched her head, thinking back. "I've been here almost two years now I think. So a while, yeah." Funny how time flies. It didn't even feel that long really.

Careful yet hasty, Lucy aimed her runic net after vague instructions. As a novice she was unsure, but she knew there was no time to waste if she was going to make it out alive. She stood with a determined expression, eying the target with a gleam in her eyes.

What even was the creature that was attacking the island? Aiden didn't stop to ponder on this question and instead quickly made his way over to one of the unoccupied harpoons. The teen aimed it the best he could in a hurry, trying not to think on who might have died already or who might die soon if they can't stop the creature. Instead he was trying to keep his focus on using the harpoon and getting as much damage to the creature done.

Once the harpoon was aimed at the creature, Aiden tried to fire the weapon. When nothing happened he looked around to see what the others were doing before shrugging and kicking the harpoon hard. It made a whining sound like it was trying to work but other then that it didn't seem to have an effect.

Since his first kick seemed to get some kind of a reaction out of the harpoon, even if it was just a whining sound, and the other Sun Hunters had been doing it, Aiden kicked out at the harpoon again.

"Yeah." Robert took a deep breath, and nodded in agreement, nudging Leon and returning to the runes. "She wouldn't have wanted us slacking." He dug his hands into the runes, and buried all of his emotions as far as he could, throwing himself into helping out again. It wasn't the strangest sight; he could work hard when he had to. But he hadn't, in a while. It felt good to be useful again.

Aiden pulled his foot back and kicked the harpoon again and this time got a much better reaction, by way of it firing at the creature. {About time it worked.} Souji grumbled as Aiden watched the harpoon hit the creature.

Lucy charged the weapon with the itch to get out there and be a bit more useful and bash the opponent with the nearest stone. She would have to take this tension out on the equipment later... or the next person who looked at her wrong. The weapon launched itself at the target and Lucy breathed a relieved sigh.

She lost sight of him again, which was understandable considering she was at the base of the wall and he was, in theory, not on the front line. Such was the joys of being in the Sun division! But what the hell had he been covered in? That image wasn't leaving her mind anytime soon! "Promise! Try not to be so blue!" Fini shouted back with a snicker before turning her attention to the situation at hand.
:: Yes. Please. No flirting on the battlefield! ::
Rolling her eyes, Fini moved away from the piece of crap harpoon only to just about walk right into someone else, having been staring towards the glowing bits of the enormous creature. Halting in her step, she glanced at the individual, not recognizing him. "These things suck, don't they?" She sighed, pointing to the empty harpoon it looked like he'd successfully launched.
