My name's Marffynz, or Marf, umm I'm 19, been reading since before I can remember.
Some of my favorite authors are Anne Mccaffery, Neil Gaiman, V.C. Andrews, Anne Rice, Sara Douglas and Jim Butcher. I really don't have a favorite book, it's too hard to decide.
Hope to meet some friendly faces biggrin

My name is Red Kasei. I'm rather a bibliomaniac as my poor bedroom is pretty much overflowing with books of all kind. I don't really have a particular favorite genre, but I am rather partial to Haruki Murakami books, Joanne Harris books and even the good old classics. My latest obsession has been self-help books. I like reading them because of the points that make me think, even if I know them.
I'm so happy to have been accepted into this guild!

Ho, everyone. I'm Ovidius Macer. You can call me any shortened version of that you feel necessary. I'm 18 and about to graduate high school. I'm kind of between authors right now. I think I might be leaning toward Orson Scott Card though. My favorite book at this point in time is Fight Club by Chuck Pala-something.

I'm Vivy.
^-^ I'm very fond of Robert Ludlum books, along with most other mystery/thriller novels, and have recently become infatuated with Lisa see.Though I usually don't dab into historical fiction, her tale of Snow Flower and The Secret Fan had me hooked.
I live in Chapters (exclusve to Canada ;]) ; by far my favourite bookstore. I also mull around a quaint second-hand bookstore on a busy street downtown; it's literally crammed wall-to-wall with various books, old and new.
Er, well, I'm fourteen also. My taste in reading happens to be very mature for my age. For instance, if any of you know Janet Evanovich's Twelve Sharp and many books by Ian Rankman, I fully comprehend each word, scenario, etc...
There is one author on my loathed list and she happens to be Stephanie Meyer. Her portrayal of her characters is so infuriating and I happen to shun those who read her novels, with the exception oh a real life friend.
Too much information? ._.;

Well, I'm new. Call me Tea. I love tea, obviously. I drink around eight cups a day. I'm a complete bibliophile. I read about five books a week, actually. My room is overflowing with books, people in school who don't know my name refer to me as 'the girl with the books', I always carry a spare copy with me in case I have a moment of free time...
My list of favourite genres includes but isn't limited to fantasy, historical fiction, science fiction, surrealism, mythology, psychological thrillers, mysteries and textbooks on histoy and art. Fantasy tops the list. And when it comes to fantasy, I want its world ancient or Shakespearean.
I'm open to all sorts of genres and books, mind that they're well written and the characters are properly developed. I will read anything once I've opened the book up. I can't put books down, no matter how awful they are. My favourite out of the abundance of books stacked in my room is The Lord of The Rings, but I love almost all books and there are none that I actually hate. I dislike some, at most.
My favourite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, Charles de Lint, Oscar Wilde, the Bard, Chaucer, Aldous Huxley, Philip Pullman, Tamora Pierce, Mark Twain, Haruki Murakami, Robin McKinley, Jane Austen, Hal Duncan, Jacqueline Carey, Robert Jordan, Dan Brown and the Bronte sisters.
Apart from reading, I also write a lot, mostly fanfiction but also a lot of original prose. Once I've finished my studies (I'm aiming for English Literature or Ancient History) and have found a decent job, I want to start spending my spare time on getting a publisher.

Hello there, my name is Ashes. I'm currently seventeen years of age, my birthday being in January. I'd have to say that my favourite series is the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, of that series, I enjoy the 1st, and my favourite author happens to be Stephen King, though sadly I only own one book of his that I have yet to finish. The genre I most throughly enjoy is fantasy, romance being a second favourite. I joined this guild in hopes of finding other members who share the same book tastes as I do. It's nice to meet you all. =)

I'm Minerva! razz Yes, that is my actual name IRL.
I don't have a favourite author overall, though I do have most beloved writers for specific skills, such as my fave auhor for characterisation is Jane Lindskold.
The genre that I read the most is fantasy, and what I enjoy second-most is historical fiction. I love too many fantasy novels/authors to select just one (or even three), though the writer of historical fiction I like best is easily Philippa Gregory.
I love to discuss books and give/get recommendations, so feel free to PM me anytime! smile

Hi, I'm Comica. :] I don't like my real name enough to want to be called by it. D;
I can't remember the names of authors whose books I have read over the years so I can't name a favorite. I will pick up just about anything to read as long as it isn't boring.
Right now, I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell. 3nodding
