"I don't understand what you had against me in the first place. Why did this sudden hatered? Why would you have a grudge against me? And how can you even think you know me?" Yumi now stood up, at once she looked many years younger, but noone would probably be able to guess her age right anyway, that was how much her face had aged because of her harsh life.

((It's short... but... at least it's something, ne?))

Chaos stopped and stared in front of him at the city. He didn't speak for a while, but then his voice slowly flowed out of it. "Yumi...they say that real power can't be achieved by destruction and killing...I don't hate you anymore Yumi because I have no reason to...I once did because I wished to finish out fight, but since have discovered something." He slowly turns his golden eyes seeming to almost glow. "It doesn't matter...it never has and never will...I would rather leave this war and never find it again...find a place where I can go and never be bothered again. But that isn't what has been planned for me Yumi...so now this is my life...may your road be blessed" He turns and walks toward the city again his black yukata with the lotus on the back swishing back and forth without a sound.

"Oh how I wish I could find a place like that, a place that is peacefull and safe. But at this time in this country, that is impossible. At the moment it's inevitable to kill and destroy. It's a crazy world." Yumi smiled the wickedest smile.

"However, I have already given up the hope to find that peace and quiet. I only see chaos, complete chaos and destruction. I don't see the future everyone are a fighting so hard for. Therefore, it's my mission to help people out of this chaotic world. Here they no longer will find what they're looking for." Her eyes looked feverish, they had some kind of grey layer over them, as if she was about to become blind. She didn't speak fluently either, it was as if her whole body was in pain.

"And you Chaos, made me realize that."

Chaos stopped and looked back at her now. "I'm sorry then...you've lost something Yumi...even if you think you gained power and a greatness to kill you didn't...I didn't kill that boy Yumi...you did. He was fully curable and would have been fine, but you couldn't see it Yumi. You saw a dead child and so killed him like one of the others...Yumi you failed whoever taught you. I'm sorry if I lead you down this path, but you didn't have to follow me." He looks at her and shakes his head slowly. "Maybe we'll cross paths again in fighting...maybe then you'll see the err of your ways." He turns and walks toward the city slowly his hands resting on his blades as he walked.

"That boy was useless, he had no talent, he was slowing me down. I know I didn't have to kill him, but I don't care, I'm sure he's living a much better life on the other side." Yumi did nothing but smile.

"And I've never said I've gained any power or graitness. And it might be true that I didn't complete the task given to me, but my master chose the wrong time to give such a task. But Chaos, what lead you onto this path? What makes you think you've got the right ideals and the right answers to all the questions? How can you know you're not a failiure yourself?" Her eyes flashed, but quickly returned back to "normal".

((He's in an awful hurry back to the city this Chaos xd ))

((Heh that just changed))

Chaos stops again this time for good till the conversation would be finished. He would turn and walk back toward her slowly. He stood with her Maai and watched her with fear in his eyes.

"My reasons for doing this are of no concern to you Yumi...but then again aren't you just running from responsibility of another and from your master? Sensais give us challenges at points in our lives when they are needed the most even if we don't understand them. Yet you failed the test and reverted...to a way that none should. Don't act like I don't know what you're going through Yumi...I'm in the same life you are, different bodies and ways of taking it...and maybe I act all high and mighty. Maybe my pride will strike me down...but if you live by the sword Yumi...you will die by it." His golden eyes seer into hers. A strange power flooding through them...abnormal was probably a better way to describe it. They were inhuman eyes of an oni. Something few had and something none wished to encounter.

"You have no clue Chaos, you know nothing about me. I've done it before, just abandoned a task given to me. My poor sensei love has desperately tried to stop me, he's tried to tame me, hold me down. But he's useless, he's incomplete, he's untalented when it comes to controlling somebody like me. How dare he even try?" Suddenly Yumi looked furious.

"But he always comes back to me." A manical giggle slipped over her dry lips.

"Why do you listen to your sensei Chaos? Because he's older and wiser than you? Because he knows secrets you hope to one day hear? Beacause he's more skilled than you? Or simply because that's what you're supposed to do?"
PostPosted: Wed Dec 29, 2004 4:39 pm

Chaos' eyes were narrowed. "Because I completed my training Yumi...I also killed my sensei Yumi...I killed him because I wanted to prove that I was better...I wanted to prove that I was the best. I only proved how foolish I was...But you are even moreso to deny your master it all. At least I completed his training and seeked more instead of pushing him away thinking that I was too great. There is always more to learn Yumi...you should remember that..."

He watches her for a while shaking his head. He had been ready to attack her, but he would not allow empty threats to effect him. His golden eyes watching her. His hair falling over his eyes a bit, yet they shone through like beacons searching for her and her soul.

((This is fun xd ))

"Oh I know I'm not as complete as you are Chaos. I know there're tons of techniques I don't know about. But I won in a fight against my master already before he left me alone, when I was a little kid. I guess it was a too big chock for him, since he left me alone on the streets. I used to be as foolish as to think it was just one of his tests, but the more I think about it, the less sence it makes." She paused dramatically.

"And yes, now the next thing you'd ask is why I went back and trained with him. He finally got over the chock and realized he no longer could call me incomplete, so he thaught me the schools most guarded techniques, like the masters are supposed to do when their students have completed their training. Then I was supposed to settle down and take his place as a master. But the only thing he actually did while teaching me those last techniques was make me a better assassin. I will never be the person he's looking for. All those years were in vain, he must by now have realized that. And at the same time he must have realized what a horrible sin he has committed..." With a devilish grin Yumi looked straight into Chaos's eyes.

((Yes, it is! I'm pretty much changing everything I've said so far right now xd ))

Chaos looks at her and slowly shakes his head. "You've lost that which is most dear to a killer...your sanity. You found something didn't you Yumi? You didn't finish a kill and it's eating you away. Something is inside you that you can't stand. So you're taking it out on everyone else...but tell me...what if it was a test? The greastest test for any person is not to kill or now how to kill...it is to be able to take care of another Yumi...it is being able to handle your reins and know how to control yourself...maybe that's what he was trying to do. Trying to save your sanity. But he failed...you're right. He failed to finish his test and save his pupil."

His golden eyes watch her for a long time before he shifts around in his yukata slowly and pulls out a piece of paper tossing it to her. "Did you hear Yumi? An old man commited seppuku up on some lonely old mountain? It was in all the newspapers...seems he was a sensei, took on few students. His last one disappeared a long time ago. Some girl...such a shame that this happens eh?" He looks at her and shakes his head slowly. "You've lost the most important thing to us hitokiri. But you aren't a hitokiri any longer Yumi, you're just a insane oni taking the guise of one...I feel sorry for you Yumi...you've lost the only person who cared for you..."

His golden eyes show no emotion as he says one word to her. "Me." He turns slowly his yukata sweeping behind him as he walks toward the city now his head staring ahead in thought. He couldn't feel Lotus at the castle...maybe she had gone somewhere for a bit...it didn't matter at the moment anyways. Maybe he could do something..at least for a while.

Hearing Chaos's words just made Yumi laugh. She laughed more than she had in a long while, in fact, it was probably over a month since she last laughed.

When she finally got controll over herself again she shook her head. You're a funny man Chaos, you say the weirdest things. How interesting... Then she suddenly yawned and stretched out. Now what? Guess I'll have to go back soon. Before leaving the shadow of the tree Yumi whispered: "Chaos, I may have lost my sanity, but I've only found it usefull. I don't care if I'm an insane oni or an assassin, as long as I get the job done." She nodded slightly then jumped back up on the road, feeling a lot more cheerfull than earlier.

((They sound like two small brats arguing xd ))
