Luka laid herself down on the grass and laughed. "You'd think. And its spectacular this way. Takes forever though. Can't let the flames touch it and all that jazz."

"It's a good thing that at least one of us is former military," Connor admitted. He didn't lay down on the grass (couldn't have them burning breakfast, now), but he did look up at the clouds.
"At this rate, we may as well just ditch social life," he told her. "It's like time has no effect on us out here. No bills, no grades... sure we'd need cigarettes, beer, or condoms once in a while, but would that be so hard to do?"
