Night had turned into another day. Karver had awoken. Sitting up, he gave a yawn, slightly roaring in the process. Shaking the stiffness from his joints, he looked over at the three females in the cave and smiled. Anya was still sleeping as well as Hope and Li Na. Going over to his Queen, he nuzzled her softly. "Arise, dear heart. Today, we hunt."
The ligeress gave a slight groan, her left ear flicked at the noise. Slowly opening her eyes, she sat up on her haunches and yawned, her fangs flashing in the faint cave light. Shaking herself off, she looked over at her Uncle and Aunt. Lovely, just lovely. There goes that feeling again. Chuffing softly, she trotted out of the cave toward the lake. Maybe a drink would clear her mind...

Hope slowly began to wake up. SHe streatched, then lifted her head to look up at her love, Karver. "Morning already?" she then glanced to see Anya leaving the cave, and sat up to a sitting position.

Karver nodded looking over at Anya. There she went again...why though. 'Don't tell me Leanna rubbed off on her...' he thought stifling his little sigh. Looking over at Hope, he gave a gentle sigh and nudged her softly. "Time for the hunt..." He started toward the mouth of the cave then stopped looking back toward his mate. "Unless you're too tired to do it. You seem a bit off..." He didn't know how, but Karver could just tell.

Hops stood and walked over beside Karver, "Actually, there is something I would like for us to discuss," She siad. If her fur wasn't already pink, a blush would have surely been seen. Things like family was one thing Hope couldn't talk about without blushing.

He nodded. "Alright. Let's go, shall we? We can walk while we talk." He chuckled soflty and nudged her nose with his. Stepping out of the cave, he took in a deep breath loving the way the air smelled. He slowly began his little stroll, feeling the wind against his pelt was such a good feeling. He looked behind him to see if Hope was coming.

"Alright" Hope nodded and nuzzled Karver, and followed close by his side as they walked. She didn't know how she would start this conversation,...but there was no backing out of it now.

"So..." Karver began looking over at the pink lioness. "What is troubly my sweet, darlin' Hope, hmm?" He nudged her head softly twitching his left ear. He then looked ahead of him as they walked toward the tall grasses deeper into the Oasis. The birds sang quietly as the royal couple passed under a canopy of trees. To Karver, this was truly paradise.

Hope was close by Karvers side, shoulders touching, and she nuzzled his neck as she spoke, "Family,....." She said simply.

"Ahh...so that's been baffeling you. You want to start a family huh?" He nudged her softly, a small smile creeping on his face. "You could of just said so in the first place, Darlin'." He licked her cheek and stopped when they reached the edge of the lake. He looked over at Hope with a gentle smile.

"hnyeah," She grinned, and sat down by the lake, wrapping her tail aroung her, she looked aroung bashfully. She wanted a family, but it wasn't something the would really openly ask for, but she missed having those around that she could call family,...and there were no young ones in the pride to watch after,....

"Anything else you wanna talk about?" He wrapped his tail around her and rested his chin on her forehead. His left ear twitched as the King closed his eyes. Life was so peaceful here in the Oasis and his family was doing so well. "Like...kids perhaps?" Personally, Karver missed having cubs around. Maybe it was time for him to step up. "You know, I've been thinking...maybe...maybe we could..you know...have kids? I'd love to be a father and I know you certainly will want to be a mother. Also, there is a matter of an heir...I won't be around forever, Hope." He looked down into her beautiful brown eyes, the same ones he fell in love with so many moonspans ago. "So..what do you say, love?"

She stared into his eyes for a while before nuzzeling her head into his chest, "I would verry much like to have cubs, Karver,..my love" She whispered happily.

He smiled softly and nudged her. "Good..." He whispered softly before nuding her nose gently. "I love you, Hope...I really do..." He closed his eyes enjoying the moment as the morning slowly rolled into mid-morning. Everything seemed to calm during this moment and he really didn't want it to end. A soft purr erupted from his throat as he kept close to his love, his life, his everything.

Hope replied, "I love you to, Karv." and she stayed there, with the purr under her ear, happy in the mid-morning light.

Karver had seemed to fallen asleep with his chin on Hope's head. He purred contently as he nuzzled his Queen softly; his tail wrapped partly around her form. The afternoon sun seemed to dip lazily toward the surface. Sister Moon would soon arrive to take his place. Karver's left ear twitch as he continued his little doze.
Anya had seem them. Sickness tore into her stomach slightly. At first light, she was leaving. Yes, she was jealous of their relationship. Yes, she hated the fact that she was. And most definately yes, she felt extremely left out of the circle of the family. Hell, Leanna had probably found a mate already. Not being able to take it, she turned and ran through the brush of the Oasis. Small tears formed at the corner of her eyes as she came back toward the den. The ligeress lyed limply on her perch letting the tears flow. Why was she always the oddball in everything? Why was she even crying for this stupid reason? Anya wanted to be strong, much like her adoptive mother, but she couldn't. She would hurt easily at most things. She made up for it by being the huntress she was; cunning, strong, ruthless, intimidating, and fierce. Her care-free and laid back nature was just a mask. She would continue to hide from this world...and stay in her dark one.
