Ray raised an eyebrow, reluctant. Desiree was one of his closest friends, and he hated that she was so bothered by Casa Nova, who was practically assaulting her. And he was right, sort of, kissing wasn't that big of a deal. He gulped, pulled Desiree towards him, and kissed her for about a second. He looked back at Casa Nova with as brave a look as he could muster. "Happy now?"

The boy looked crestfallen. "Whatever..." He put the candy back in his box and made himself look all intimdating. Well, he tried at least. He was very short for a 6th year and was rather puny. "If you ever make her cry or break up with her, you watch out. I'll be there."
Desiree, whose head was currently reeling as she kept her fingertips lightly on her lips, had to blink a few times before remembering where she was. "I...I hear that Jess Winslow, that pretty Slytherin girl, loves Cockroach Clusters..."
He looked at her, interested for a moment, before clearing his throat and walking off towards the castle.
With a small smile, she turned back to Ray. "I mean, she has to right? You are what you eat..."

Ray nodded, smiling. "Yeah. Thought I was thinking more along the lines of Acid Pops," he said, beginning to walk back to the castle, though he had let go of Desiree's hand. "Still coming? Honey?"

Desiree smiled, letting her arm fall to her side before catching him up to him, hooking her arm in his and grabbing her broom back. "Right behind you, sweetheart." She laughed quietly to herself and looked up to him. "You know, that was my first kiss." She made fake kissy noises at him and chuckled.

Ray looked at her, a little embarrassed. "I didn't know. Sorry if I ruined it for you." He'd been kissed once, by a girl he'd barely known in Ireland. He wasn't sure if it counted, he'd only been 11. But it was a kiss.

"Nah, I liked it. Well...I mean it was nice, and I..." She looked up at him and shook her head. "Oh, you know what I mean. Anyway, thank you for putting your lips on the line to save me. My hero." She placed her hand on her forehead dramatically, as though she were about to swoon.

Ray groaned and looked away, visibly pink. "So long as no one at the castle hears about it..." he said, looking up at the towering school above him. But, he figured, the chances of Casa Nova keeping this delicious little 'secret' to himself were very slim.

"Miss Winslow...uhhh Jess!!" The boy ran at her as he saw her approach the dungeons. "I have some candy for you."
Jess arched an eyebrow as the boy approached. He was short...but pretty cute. She grinned and ushered him down into the dungeons after her...
"Oh, I don't give half a jinx whether or not anyone hears. I don't base myself on rumours and the thoughts of others. And besides, one day of seeing us not acting like a couple and they'll realize how stupid the were." She waved her hand dismissively, as if shooing off the annoyance of teenagers.

Ray nodded. "I suppose. Anyway. It's free period now. I'm not getting on that broom again, though. What do you want to do?" he asked, as they neared the Entrance.

"Well...we did our work...we need to avoid Jess...I personally want to keep away from Kris for a while, give her some time to herself, poor girl. Flying is out...well, bloody hell. What else is there to do in this place?" SHe bit on her bottom lip as she thought. "You've been here a year more than I have, you think of something."

Ray looked up the the sky for ideas. "We could...practice our Charms or Transfiguration or something. Or maybe... no, I think that's about it."

"Damn, I never realized how boring this place is. Usually I just get lost in a book..." She entered the castle again, having already missed Casa and Jess going to the dungeons. "Oh wait, I know!" She faceplamed herself and rolled her eyes. "We can head to the Room of Requirement and ask for something fun to do."

Ray looked at her skeptically. "Don't you think that's a little too vague?" he said, even though he was heading towards the Room of Requirement. "Oh well. Doesn't hurt to try, I guess."

Ray nodded. "I have nothing better to do," he said, following Desiree up into the Ravenclaw Common Room. The few people that were in it glared at him, but Ray ignored them. They came to a set of stairs, and Ray backed away from them. "I'll wait here. Because those lead to the girls' dormitory. And I'm not a girl. So I'm not allowed up there. Because I'm not a girl. But you need to go up there. You are a girl. And that's where you keep your broom. Since it's your dormitory. Since you're a girl." He sat down suddenly, blushing, in the nearest blue armchair. "I'll wait."
