procrastination girl but some people might trip out if they couldn't brush out their hair at all, and i understand. That's totally me. I flip when I feel like my hair is a mess and I don't have a hairbrush handy.
But then, my hair is pretty straight and I don't bother trying to curl it or make it wavy, so yeah.

My hair has gotten sort of wavy since I cut it. I wish it were straighter, but I've stopped caring so much about that.
Sort of bothers me when it gets messed up after I've just brushed it out though.

'Nother haircut picture. Profile view! Let me explain the stars that might show up near my eyes in some photos of mine.. Tonight my school had a Carnivale, so I was doing people's makeup/facepaint etc. I am so in love with my hair. Funny thing is that it's shorter than half the guys, and shorter than all the other girls too. Ifeelsoedgey harhar.

procrastination girl Cieve I'd rather have the maintenance of curly hair than try to stop it from sucking up to my head. Ever since I've gotten a perm, all I do is wash it, detangle it while the conditioner is in, and then put some curling serum in it and let it air dry. I don't think it's that bad. It does get a little frizzy in the humidity, but that's fine with me. I don't want huge 80s hair, but the more it sticks out from my head the better. an easy trick to get a little wavy action on your hair is to take swaths of it all over your head and twist them when it's still wet from the shower. you know, twirl it with your finger as if you were a valley girl, and then roll it around your finger. don't comb it out after you've done this until it's dry. yes, you'll look messy while it's still wet, but if you comb it out it undoes all your work. actually, i recommend combing it first BEFORE twisting it, and then not at all after - wet or dry. but some people might trip out if they couldn't brush out their hair at all, and i understand. Even simpler. Braid it when it is still damp. (Damp, not wet. Or that s**t will never dry.) The more unruly you want it to come out, the more braids you put in. And never ever brush it when it's wet. Just... don't. cry

Wolffy000 Sort of bothers me when it gets messed up after I've just brushed it out though. Oh my god, don't get me started. This is why I oftentimes procrastinate a good two or three days before brushing my hair after it's just been washed. I don't even get finished brushing it out the first time and it's tangled again! crying Urby - I like the star. Reminds me of 80's glam rock. surprised

I used to rarely brush my hair when I had it... xd Yeah, it got tangled sometimes, but it was never too obvious.
I always yell at friends when they complain about split ends because I KNOW they brush their wet hair and use blowdryers/irons/etc.

I love brushing my hair. I used to always carry my hairbrush around with me. It doesn't get tangled except in a few circumstances here and there, but I like keeping it brushed out anyway.
I just hate spending time on my hair, then walking outside and having the wind and rain be like "******** YOU! *Fwoosh*"

I just hate spending time on my hair, then walking outside and having the wind and rain be like "******** YOU! *Fwoosh*" Exactly. I've got a little brush in my bag and one in my car, so I'm never too far away from one. It just bothers me when I reach up to run a hand through my hair and it gets stuck halfway because it's tangled.
It's also one of the things that calms me down, so when I'm especially upset I've got a brush in hand. *shrug*
As for split ends, I never blowdry, straighten, or curl my hair - the last time I did anything more to my hair besides wash and brush it was prom last year. So I know I've got some split ends, but not nearly as many as I could.

The only way to keep my hair even semi-curled is to get a perm. And even that took two perms in two days.
If I curl my hair with an iron, it falls out in about half an hour, with hairspray. If I braid it while it's damp, it falls out two minutes after I take the braid out.
My hair hates curls.
Urby, I love your haircut! I could never do something like that unless I wore a scarf all the time. I feel so vulnerable without hair on my neck. Which is why I never wear it up.
Reddy, you're just adorable.
