Luka raised an eyebrow at him. "I believe the mayor freaked not so much out of fear but because of the objects of hatred you so bluntly informed him were sitting in his office."

"Yeah, okay, that probably didn't help," Connor admitted. "But I'm out of facts now, unless you want to get to what we know he knows about us." He smiled at the redundancy of the sentence.

Luka sighed. "Damn. This is not a promising start." She moved to run her hnds through her hair and caught sight of the clock between her fingers. "Shite, I didn't realize we'd been out so long. Is it really afternoon already?"

"Shite." Luka tilted her head back and rubbed her temples. "I'm not too particularly fond of the idea of dealing with him right now. Plus he's much more understanding in the morning when he's too tired to fight back."

Connor nudged Luka onto her back on the pillows and dipped his head to gently kiss her lips.

The cornors of Luka's mouth turned upword. "You taste wonderful babe, but I'm sad to say that its not really helping the whole headache situation."

"Ah, a headache. You could have said so," Connor chuckled. He planted a quick kiss on her brow before rising and going to her medication stash. He returned to her with some painkillers and a glass of water. "For you."
