Hope soon sunk down to lay on her belly, as the sun's rays warmed her and she fell asleep.

He felt sluggish as he slipped down on his belly as well. The sun was totally relaxing and he didn't feel like moving. His left ear twitched slightly as the King yawned for a moment then went back to his sleep.

The light from the sun was dim, and a faint image of the moon had appeared in the sky. It was late into the afternoon, and Hope finally began to wake as the colloer temperatures of the night made thier way in through the breeze. She streatched her legs as she lay, and a dainty paw dipped in the water. She sighed happily.

Anya slinked up to her Aunt as the King continued his snooze. She stretched idly then chuffed toward her. "Auntie Hope...I'd like to talk to her about something..." She looked down into the water and slowly ran her tail feathers through the liquid. The ripples expanded into ringlets as she watched her reflection from the pool. She resisted the temptation of swiping a clawed forepaw at it. She wondered if the reason why males didn't like her was because of her tiger blood...

Hope looked over to the purple liger and smiled, "What's bothering you, dear Anya?" she asked.
Chaos,...the lone wonderer,..a lion on a mission, that noon-day began his trudge through the Oasis. To him, it was just another terrain to pass through on his search for his father. His left hind leg's limp made his gait rough, and his brown mane, and duel-colored flakes, bobbed as he walked. A golden-orange pelt took in the last rays of sun, and his ice-blue eyes appeared white when mixed with the light. His form was thing, from lack of food, yet muscular from his traveling. A permanent expression of serious-ness was set like stone upon his face, as he glanced at his sourroundings. With a growl-like sigh, he pressed on,... Oh how he ached, but he knew if he stopped now, he would be delayed for days, for his muscles would then stiffen up on him, and he would be useless. The lion soon entered another's teritory. No big deal to him really, he had passed through the lands of dozens of other lions, and still here he stood. Perhaps it was because his words which he seldom spoke could be smooth and convincing, or because his claws and his size were more threatening. None of the like mattered to the Wonderer. He just wanted to find his father.

She was about to answer when a sense began to blare through her mind. Her nose twitched as an alien scent traveled through her nose. "Auntie, Somebody's here..I'll go check it out. Wake up Uncle Karv for me." She didn't want for a reply, just simply went toward the entrance of the territory near the north. She hid in the brush of the grasses watching the figure of the lion with intense interest. He seemed to be moving at a slow pace. Maybe he was hurt or just hungry? Possibly both. Whichever the reason, she wanted to keep a fair distance away from him. As he moved, she would, her paws touching the ground softly and almost soundlessly. She kept as low to the ground as possible not wanting to get caught. Her purple pelt already made it hard to hunt.

Hope sinced the precince about as Anya said something, "kay,.." She stood and went over, and nudged Karver with her nose, "You need to wake up,...there is a visitor to the north,..." She whispered as she attempted to awaken the sleeping king.
Chaos had the feeling he was being watched she stopped, and did not move, waiting for a beeze to bring to him the scent of his watcher. He closed his eyes when no breeze came, then traveled on. A rumble began deep in his throught before he spoke in a deep masculine voice, "Whoever is there make yourself known, be it lion or mouse." HE said as he walked, never looking back behind him. Either he was just really arrogant, or didn't care, but he would rather stare danger in the face then be stalked like prey.

Anya came behind him and gave a small growl. "Is that a way to treat a lioness?" She stood tall and proud, her intense eyes staring at the stranger as her flakes slightly shifting at the movement. Her left ear twitched as her tail waved behind her. "Who are you and what are you doing in my uncle's lands?" She demanded staying in one spot. She would wait until they arrived before doing much else.
Karver yawned loudly as the nudge of his mate. He pawed at her neck softly and dragged her down to the floor beside him. His left forearm was over her side, his paw resting on her belly. "Five more minutes, will ya?" It was obvious the king was still a slave of the Sandman and he had no intentions of leaving right now. It would take something promising to wake him up.

Chaos turned aroung and looked at the lioness with his unchanging serious expression, "And you expected me to know it was a lioness who stalked me, and not some monkey? As for why I am here that is really none of your concern." He replied.
Hope chuckled, and licked his muzzle, "we must go now and attend to the visitor. Anya has already gone to check things out, my dear." She batted his main with her paw.

She looked toward him with the same expression. Her face slightly cold and stone-like as she slowly came forward. "If you're going through my family's lands, then yes, it is my business." She gave a low snarl baring her fangs. "We have no idea if you are friend or foe..." Her eyes stared into his coldly. She was already in a bad mood from this morning; this lion was making it worse.
He yawned getting up and nudging Hope softly. "Fine fine, m'dear. Let's go." He nudged her neck softly then lapped up some cool water. His tail twitched slightly as he waited on Hope to follow. Hopefully, his niece could handle things.

"I am a wonderer, and noone has stopped me passing through thier lands yet. What am I searching for? I'm not telling you. There? You happy?" He said, twitching his head, then turning back around to face the way he was originally going.
Hope followed beside Karver, wondering if Anya was handeling the visitor well aswell.

Karver came infront of the visitor. His eyes scanned him over then huffed. "Welcome to my lands, Stranger. You seem hurt and in need of food. Maybe you should rest a while..." Karver wanted to be as king as possible. Looking into his eyes, he could tell that this one had been through alot. "If you keep going like that, you may die..." He didn't want to be too blunt, but it may work.
She gave a small huff following him. She came beside Aunt Hope and looked into the stranger's eyes. How arrogant of him! The nerve that he wouldn't give a lick about lands. What if he became King and someone went through his lands unannounced? Would he be happy then? Uncle Karv's kindness wasn't exactly making her feel better. But then again...kindness kills...

Chaos looked at the other male, "so you are this lands kind. He said, rather than asked. "I am hungry, yes. I am tired, yes. Hurt? Old wounds long healed." He said, with the slightest glance at his hind leg. The hooved beast that had retaliated against him so long ago now, he could still remember. Chaos looked back at the kind. Inwardly he scoffed. Chaos had no real care for any kings,...not after his father, the kings of The Clow, left him, his siblings, and his mother high and dry. It was that fact that made Chaos vow never to be a king. Not to follow his father's footsteps. To remain a rogue, a wonderer. Even though he was searching for the one known as Cero,,...his father, it was not to bring him back to the throne. After a while of standing there, he turned back to the path ahead of him, and started walking on, "I don't take charity," he said as he walked. He knew the other king was trying to be kind, but kindness scared Chaos. Kindness meant submission, and to return kindness was to show trust. Coeurl had trusted Cero. Trusted him to always be there. Trust broke his mother's heart.
Hope could tell that the visitor had been through alot,..that he was hurting inside. She took no offence asto what he said, knowing full well that most lions would rather push away any chance at more hurt, then to risk pain again. She looked to Anya. The lioness showed the same kind of hurt, but instead of total avoidance, she had a mask. A mask of protection.

For some reason, she felt inclined to follow. "You've been hurt, haven't you? You trusted someone and they broke that trust...as well as something important, didn't they?" Anya had that same feeling. The feeling of being hurt and betrayed. The feeling of being alone, even when a room was crowded. Though their reasons were different, their hurt was the same. "If you hold on to that hurt, it will just make it worse. Go it alone, and you won't make it..." She said softly looking over at him, her eyes suddenly went soft. "Just...stay, ok?" Now, she was walking beside the male looking up at him. By the lion gods, what the hell was she doing?! Here was a pompous, arrogant stranger who didn't want help, and yet she felt inclined to. For some reason, she wanted him to stay and heal...and maybe talk about his hurt. The same hurt she had that slowly ripped away at souls...soon her eyes met with his. Even though he was looking away, she sensed the feeling.
Karver noticed his niece and looked over at Hope with a questioning look. This was not her normal behavior and it served wierd. Shaking his head, he waited for his reply. Whatever the outcome, Anya would tell him. He stifled a sigh and shook his pelt slightly, his mane waving in the air.

Chaos looked down at the female, "My hurt is not my own, but for one who is to blind to know they've been hurt. Hy hate is my own though, and that hate is what keeps me alive." it was times like these that he cursed his bum leg,...always making others pity him, see him as hurt,..as weak. He could look at the ligress, and see she did know something of enternal pain, but kindred spirit or not, Chaos would not share secrets to a stranger. Secrets that could one day come back and bit his a**.
Hope's eart twitched, not knowing what to make of the situation anylonger. SHe looked to Karver, as if asking; what now?
