"Please, Riku..," the skinny blond said, tears flooding his eyes. "I have to see him... I have to know if he's okay..," Roxas whispered, chin beginning to tremble. "You can't tell me he was killing himself then not let me see him! It's not fair!" he cried, tears now streaming down his cheeks. After a few minutes of just crying, he sniffled and wiped his face. "If you're not gonna let me see him, just...find me some paper and a pen... I want to write him a note," he caved, a deep frown set on his face. He looked extremely depressed now.

"I told you that he was okay. He is in the hospital, if he wasn't okay, they wouldn't have him on the stable bay." Riku said softly watching the blonde starting to break down in front of him. He hated seeing the blonde cry... it was almost just as bad as when Sora cried... "Look, Roxas, It may not be fair, but I can't lose you, I barely can still go on without Sora being here anymore, if I lost my link to him.... I don't think I could take living anymore, so can you just please drop this and trying and get better before you go running off to save someone else." Riku breathed feeling something stinging deep down inside him... He was saying everything he always wanted to say to Sora before he died, but none of it seemed to make him feel better. Riku nodded a little to Roxas request. He walked out for a moment getting the paper and pen from the nurse's station. As he handed them to Roxas, the look on his face make Riku sick. He knew that Roxas was miserable. He knew it was his fault.... and he knew that keeping Roxas from seeing Axel wasn't going to bring Sora back... He just couldn't help himself...

Roxas sniffled and took the paper into his hand. He began writing him a note with a shaky hand, using his bedside table as a writing surface.
Axel,
I'm sorry. I didn't think they'd admit you while we were asleep. Apparently I was wrong. I want to come see you, but Riku's worried about me. He's scared I'm gonna end up like Sora did... Anyway, I wanted to write you a note instead. The doctors told me that you were killing yourself by refusing treatment... I'm worried about you. I don't know what happened in that prison or anything, but I wish you could tell me... I miss you, Baby. I wish I had you in my arms. Be strong for me, okay? I'll come see you as soon as I can. I love you, Axel. Write back if you, can, okay?

He rolled up the piece of paper and wrote Axel's name on the front of it with a heart. He held it out to Riku. "Can you bring this to him for me, please?" he asked softly. When he took it, Roxas leaned forward and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry for yelling at you... I know it's hard not having him here..." He tightened his grip around him before letting him go.

Riku smiled half-heartedly at Roxas as he hugged him. They were just words... they were the same words that everyone always said to him. 'I know it's hard not having him here...' Honestly, the words almost annoyed him now. He truthfully didn't think anyone understood what it was like for Riku to be without Sora. Sora wasn't someone he was just going to get over. Sora was the one person he promised to spend his life with... and now he was gone... Riku's life was like a cup with a hole in it. All he do could was try and try to keep filling it up even though eventually it would just pour all back out. Riku pulled back from the hug with a somber look of understanding. He couldn't do much more after that before walking out of the room with the note to give it to Axel.
Riku walked down the hall into the room the nurse had indicated to him earlier. It was the redhead's room alright, he was arguing with a nurse as he walked in. "If you would just let me touch you, I could help you with the pain!" She huffed as the redhead refused. "No, just stay away from! I don't want you to touch me. I don't want anyone to touch me." Axel cringed as he he tried to get away, but he was in so much pain, he couldn't barely struggle. "Axel! What are you doing?" Riku asked as he walked into the room. Axel didn't know him all that well, but he had spoke with him, and they had gotten to know each other a little while Riku was in the hospital visiting Roxas. "R-Riku? W-Where's Roxas? I-I have to get back to him!" Axel cried in a panic. "Calm down, Calm down, Calm down, Roxas is asleep. He is being good and actually resting up like you should be. Look if you promise to lay down and actually let the doctors help you, I'll give you the note Roxas wrote you." Riku said and Axel calmed down almost immediately. "Y-You promise, this isn't some tale to let them inject me with some drug that I have no idea what is?" Axel mumbled, but seeing as Riku moved closer as he was speaking he was able to hear the redhead. "I promise, Look it's right here." Riku said pulling out the note and showing him the top of it where his name was written by Roxas. Axel took a deep breath before glancing back at the nurse.
Riku left Axel about thirty minutes later with Axel sound asleep curled up in his bed. "You must have given him some PM painkillers, he barely finished writing back before he was fallen asleep." Riku whispered to the nurse as they were leaving. "Well, he needs to sleep, and I was told to keep him under as long as possible do to his severe condition. I'm glad you came in when you did though, otherwise, I was going to have to have him restrained again and he seemed scared enough." The nurse said softly silently thanking the silverette as she continued down the hall. Riku waved her off and went to Roxas's room.
"Roxas, Sorry it took so long, Axel was having a hard time writing back, but he got what he wanted to say down at least. Did you want to read it?" Riku asked walking into the room. He wasn't even sure that Roxas was awake when he walked into the room.

Roxas opened his red-rimmed eyes and looked up at Riku from his curled-up position beneath his thin sheets. One could easily tell he had been crying in Riku's absence. He was upset he couldn't see Axel. Plus he felt like a part of him was missing since Sora died. He knew that Riku thought no one knew his pain..,but he and Sora were twins... Identical twins... They would always be connected, and now that connection was gone... He felt like something was missing from his heart... He felt like half of him was gone. "Yeah... Yeah I wanna read it," he said, eyes brightening just a bit as he lifted himself up a bit. "Was he okay? I'm sure he wasn't happy..." He wiped his eyes a bit to get any stray tears off.

Riku nodded walking over and handing Roxas the note. "He seemed okay, he was a little paranoid of the nurses, but I think after knowing that you were worried about him so much, he calmed down. He even let the nurse give him some pain medication. He looked like he was in a lot of pain, so it was really a good thing that he got it when he did." Riku said softly updating Roxas on Axel's condition as he watched the blonde open up the note.
The handwriting was pretty shaky, but it was pretty much legible throughout.
Roxas,
Don't be sorry, I must have of been pretty bad shape. My mom knows I don't really like strangers, and they said they admitted me with her permission. I still don't know what exactly my condition is, but I feel really bad. I probably should let you in a little, but I... I don't know... I don't want you to worry about all my problems. He was there... and let's just say, he came that last day and... I just don't feel safe anymore... I don't want you in danger, so it'll be better that you just don't know. But you are right, I need to be strong for you. I love you so much Roxas. I know that we really haven't gotten to spend a lot of time together, but I really do.

Roxas smiled a little as he read the note. Tears welled in his eyes and rolled down his cheeks. When he was done, he laid back down on his side and hugged the note to his chest tightly, sobbing softly as he did so. "Thank you, Riku..," he whispered, looking over at him gratefully. "I-I have to write him back... Can you get me some more paper?" he asked, sniffling as he held the note up to read over it agian.

Riku smiled softly at the blonde. He was so love-sick; it was both heart-wrenching and adoring. "You don't have to thank me, Roxas. You know that." Riku said back softly moving to his side. "How about you catch some sleep, and I'll bring you a whole pack of paper in the morning. When I left, Axel was already passed out, so he won't be able to read it until the morning anyway." Riku advised softly knowing that Roxas was never going to get better if he was up worrying about Axel. "I'll stay up with you until you fall asleep too so you aren't alone."Riku promised as he pulled a chair up next to the bed about where Axel had it before.

Roxas frowned a little but nodded. "You're right... I wanted him to wake up to a note, but, um..." He looked back at Axel's note and neatly ripped the bottom off of it. He then wrote:
I love you, too. <3

on it and handed it to Riku. "Can you bring this to his room and set it on his table first? Where he can see it when he wakes up? I don't want him to feel like he's alone..," he said softly. "It'll put me a little more at peace...then I wouldn't mind you sitting in here with me. It's nice to have someone here with me..." He snuggled down in his bed and smiled slightly up at Riku.

Riku obliged with Roxas's request as he took the note. When he came back into the room a minute or so later, he sat down in the chair he had pulled up. His aquamarine eyes looked straight into the painfully familiar, sky-blue eyes. "You think you are going to pull through for me?" He asked after a moment. Truthfully, when he woke up in the hospital, he was more worried about Roxas then he was about himself. Sora never directly told Riku to watch over Roxas, but he felt like it was his sole job in life. He knew that he would never find someone that made him feel the way Sora made him feel, so all he really had left was the part of Sora that was in Roxas. It was a sad existence, but it was the only one Riku had left.

Roxas looked up at him, a dead look in his eyes. He had obviously just stopped crying when Riku entered the room, what with him furiously wiping tears from his face and sniffling like his allergies were messing up bad. He didn't like to cry in front of Riku... He knew it bothered the silvernette when he was upset. "What do you m-mean?" he asked, really trying to keep his voice even. He could at least try...even though he was obviously failing.

Riku laughed a little with a sad smile on his face. "You know what I mean. You think you are going to be okay? hmm?" Riku asked softly reaching up to Roxas and rubbing his shoulder a little. Riku could obviously tell that Roxas was upset, but he just wanted to know if the blonde was going to pull together in the end. With Axel hurt like he was, Riku really just didn't want Roxas to worry himself literally to death.

Roxas' chin trembled a little before a few more tears fell down his cheeks. As soon as Riku rubbed his shoulder, the dams broke. "I d-don't know... I just... E-Everything's just s-so ******** up... I j-just w-want to spend time w-with the p-people I love and b-be happy for just one ******** day..." He buried his face in his pillow and sobbed to himself, body shaking in pain and sorrow.

Riku gave Roxas a sad smile as he leaned up closer to him and hugged the blonde tightly. He tried not to get so close to Roxas, but sometimes like this, he couldn't avoid it. He tried to avoid close contact with Roxas just simply because of just how much he felt like Sora in his arms. When he held Roxas, he could close his eyes and for just a moment believe that Sora was back here with him. "It's not. It's not. You'll see when you get out of the hospital and when Axel gets out of the hospital it is all going to be okay. You are going to be okay... We aren't going to lose anyone else." Riku spoke softly feeling himself start to cry a little himself as he thought about Sora again.

Roxas reached up with his non-broken arm and hugged him back, desperately grabbing for comfort and closeness. "I-I'm sorry... I-I'm sorry..," he sobbed. "I d-don't mean to cry, I just..." He sobbed again, breaking down even more in Riku's arms. "C-Can you l-lay down w-w-with m-me?" he whimpered to him. "I-I just... I n-need s-someone to l-lay with to f-f-fall as-sleep," he whimpered, sniffling. "I-I know y-you're p-probably not c-comfortable w-with it, b-but D-Demyx and A-Axel can't... I..," he trailed off, tears welling in his eyes and pouring down his cheeks again. "I j-just w-want someone t-to h-hold m-m-me..."
