[ Exit ]
The voice was all too familiar, but Jake found himself doubting. What if it was just an illusion messing with him? Still, the voice sounded like it came from the body beneath him.
"...Sherry?"

Okay, this maze thing was starting to piss her off. She'd barely just found Bren before losing him, and now the same thing was apparently happening to Ignatius. Piper growled at the darkness, making various pouty faces at it as she slowed her march to a crawl, checking around for signs of either boil. Seriously, what was up with this place?
"Oy, Tweedle Dee and Dumb, I'm not that hard to lose!" she called out. It was a little unnerving to be alone--wait, no it wasn't because she could tough out being alone. Sweet Shiva, when did she start turning into a pansy?
It might have had something to do with the new voice she heard purring from the shadows.
"Well hello there, sweetie~"
Piper froze. Her dad she could dismiss, but--
"Did you miss me? I've been looking for you everywhere!" said the far too forcefully cheerful voice, dark intent dripping from each word.
With a small strangled noise, the mage began backing away.

[ Exit ] and out. It could have been a trick. More mind games. The whispers made her question her judgement. But a real being HAD run into her, warm and all. And it knew her by name. The one voice the whispers had not yet tried to imitate. "Jake?" It had to be. "Oh, thank goodness." Hopefully it WAS really Jake, and hopefully he wouldn't mind a hug. A big one. "Is it really you? Please say it is." It had better have been, Armagnac would never let Sherry live it down if she left kisses on the cheeks of monsters. "Come on," she said, climbing to her feet. "I thought I saw something over here. Like an exit." Oh, heaven help her if this was all in her mind.

[Area 7]Moving swiftly forward, hands up around her ears, Nergui very nearly ran right into Bastion. She'd been trying to get away from Lan's critical digging, nagging at insecurities and old wounds that had not had proper time yet heal. "Shut up," she breathed it, voice soft, almost desperate, before the tall silhouette of her cousin appeared in her path. She reached out for him instantly, wrapping small hands around his wrist and drawing up even at his side. Then, and only then, did she realize he had been calling to her, and she bumped her temple against his arm. "I'm Sorry, I'm here." There was still the faint hint of cold laughter in the air, and the priestess shook her head, attempting to clear it as they continued onward. "Where is Lushka?" There was a chance he was there in the dark on Bastion's other side, but she didn't think so.

Brenley looked up... well, looked was the wrong word really. He raised his head and spread his arms slightly as if he was standing on a tightrope in a light breeze.
"Ignatius... hello." He smiled shakily. "I thought I heard your voice. H... have you seen Piper... um... afroQueen anywhere? I was walking with her, but we got separated." It was one thing to have to deal with the reality of the mage's presence, but he didn't quite know Ignatius well enough to be comforted by him. Bren wasn't ready to socialize. It had only been easy with Piper because he'd known her before anything truly horrible had ever happened to him. Here in this warped place, he could pretend nothing ever had.
He hugged the wall, moving slightly farther into the darkness, and then he disappeared.Seiana_ZI i have another blind one because i like keeping that prompt for some reason hur hur

"You can't even see anything, why are you running in the dark? You're such a idiot, running around in the dark like that."
Jason almost wanted the gurgling voice back. Almost.

"Let's." He got up, and followed her all too eagerly. He was so done with this place

Area 13 => Area 17Brenley seemed rather uneasy, but that didn't necessarily strike Ignatius as odd. Brenley had seemed uneasy the entire time that Ignatius had known him. What did strike him as odd was the fact that he was even there, though he didn't seem to be focusing on that a whole lot, choosing to ask if he knew where Piper was.
"Yeah, I've seen Piper," he confirmed, hoping that Brenley got the message he also knew her regular name now too. "She's hard to miss. But I lost her too, she went ahead that way I think."
He was, of course, unaware that Brenley couldn't see anything, though it was odd he was clinging against the wall -- hey, where did he go?
"Bren!" Ignatius attempted to follow after Brenley, but instead ended up nearly ramming into Piper, who seemed to be backing up instead of going forward.
"Piper, I just saw Bren--"
A fourth voice joined the chorus of voices he already heard, and this one ... it made him uneasy. Was that ... no, that couldn't be Grief again... no, no way...
Ol-j-man (<33) In which Ignatius bounces from one to the other to the first...

[ Area 1 ]
< Great, now we're dealing with a hallway. >
Neci wasn't pleased about this and honestly neither was Harlow. She felt like these kind of things were never ending, but what made it worse this time was that she could barely see. She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, pausing as she stood at the door way into this hall. This was something she wasn't crazy about for sure. She wasn't sure if she could handle this but it looked like she was just going to have to keep moving. That was the best plan that she could come up with at the moment.
She stood waiting for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, but as she stood she found herself with no results. < Well you might as well get moving princess, standing here obviously isn't going to get you anything. > She rolled her eyes at the comment of the weapon and sighed. She knew that she might as well get going, standing here in this hallway, in this spot wasn't going to get her anywhere.
She started to move forward but with in a few of her strides she started to hear a whisper, she slowed to a halt and looked behind her. Although it was dark and she wasn't sure if anyone was there, but she felt like there wasn't. She looked forward and shook her head but before she could start wandering forward once again she heard the voice, one that she knew so well. It was her father
How could you just leave everything behind? How could you leave everything that I left for you.
Harlow cringed, this was going to be one of those kind of things? She covered her ears and closed her eyes, she didn't want to hear it. Even though it wasn't a failure for her to leave the town that she grew up in she sure felt like it. She felt like she was running from her father's death and everything having to do with it by coming to the Deus. She would occasionally have nightmares about running away.
Little baby can't handle it?
The voice snarled in her head. She held her breath and shut her eyes tighter, a voice grounding her to reality a little more. Harlow, just move It wasn't often that Neci used Harlow's real name. The weapon was right, she just needed to get going and get walking otherwise she knew that this was going to be a problem.

Area 7 -> 8Lushka's hand disappeared, and all at once, Bastion was alone. "LUSHKA!" He screamed, toppling forward with both of his hands against the wall in hopes he would accidentally run into one of them. "NONI! LUSHKA! You.. why did you let go? You weren't supposed to let go." "You were holding us back, dear cousin." Nergui's voice whispered out, cold and unlike her. Bastion froze where he was, his hands digging into the wall. "I wasn't. I didn't mean to. I didn't- I'm so sorry, Noni." Quote: EVENT 3: You hear a voice and it sounds exactly like a mentor you look up to. If this is not applicable you may choose a close friend. They begin to continuously mock you for your choice of friends and make you doubt your friends' loyalties towards you. The jests get worse the longer you linger in the room. Only you can hear them (though you may not realize it). Please do rp it out. This effect persists as long as you are in this corridor. 3/10

He seemed to have gotten himself out of the dead end, but then managed to wander into a corner.
Stopping there for a moment, he leaned back and rested his head against the wall, closing his eye as if that might help drown out the voice of his mother, which continued to dog him all through the winding maze.
"Just ******** go away." He muttered, the shouting finally starting to get to him.

If she noticed Ignatius, she didn't show it. The sugar coated voice was all Piper could hear now, and even in the dim lighting it was clear she was afraid.
"Sweetie, why are you running away? Me and the ghouls just wanted to have a little chat. After all, you did just leave us out of nowhere without saying goodbye."
"No no no nonononono--" Was she hallucinating the footsteps drawing nearer, the voice calling her name? Piper didn't want to find out and bolted down the hall on a whim, running as fast as her legs could take her. She wanted her dad's voice back because at least she could tune that out, she knew that couldn't be real. But if even Brenley could just pop out of nowhere, then who was to say that she couldn't either?
Piper was out of breath by the time she reached the end of the corridor and slumped against the wall, finding comfort with something to her back. She had to know if it was real, she could . . . she could beat her if she needed. And she did need it. Maybe that was the point, fighting your fears. A small spark of flames went up in her hands, only vague surprise going through her that she could make it now. Until she was ready to get up, she'd defend herself as necessary.

[ 1 -> 2 -> 4]
Milo went from two rooms that required drinking things to a room of voices and darkness. Okay. He could deal with this - beat the room that made him go a little crazy. Well, kind of did at least for now despite the voices, or added voices. Koume seemed quiet at least but there was a persistent one buzzing around his head.
It sounded like his sister. Kind of.
Milo shook his head and began to walk, every so often raising a hand towards where he figured the wall to be to help guide him along just in case (this place was full of surprises it seemed). He kept his gaze forward and ignored the whispered he heard. And when he rounded one corner - and then another and then made a left - another one joined in the chorus.
It was garbled, akin to the words in the dreams but it wasn't the soft voice of Noemi. No, this one sounded a bit mean. Angry and full of contempt, like it wasn't to kill him if it had a body. Milo turned, making sure that no one was actually there attempting to kill him but found no one.
Great. Voices!
