"I see... well, as you wish Miss Daelya, though I do insist that you take a look at the glass slipper, none of us know quite where it came from, but we've kept it as we didn't like the idea of throwing anything so beautiful out..."

Smiling at Daelya, Alexus took a sip of her tea and said "I can take you to the closet for you to look at it while my mommies and Ceri make food for the picnic." Giggling a bit, she then said "... Yeah... just as Ceri says, if you don't wanna, you don't have to wear a dress... You look great with anything you have on... though.... like Ceri says too, you should come to see the glass slipper. It's really pretty, but we don't really have a use for it... and since you like Cinderella lots, we figure, you'd like it better... and don't worry about breaking it, Mama Jacey say on it once and she didn't break it... There is two sides of course, but well... it's a kind of long story... but they seem to avoid each other as we've never really been able to put them together..."

Listening to her daughter go on about the slipper she then was brought to remember a very painful memory... Sitting on that slipper was most likely the most painful thing she had ever done in her life... She had been just about to do something with her beloved Dior when something really sore was sat on. Shaking her head of the memory,
Jacey then said "By the way my dear, do you have a curfue? Or rather... is there any time that you need be home by? Lexus will of course be the one to drop you off, but if you don't, we do have plenty of space here..."

Dior had pretty much finished her tea, cake and sandwich as she waited for everyone at the table to finish too. "Miss Daelya, If you plan to stay the night, I presume that I should tell you where everything is. Each of the girls have there own bathroom, however, most of us take a bath in the mansion's bath. Alexus can walk you there... you just need to wash yourself before going in as it's common courtesy since everyone shares it, however, it's rather nice, and it gives you a wonderful feeling of relaxation after you've come out... To tell the truth sometimes when I used to go in, I was so relaxed that I almost fell when I was out of it. It has minerals in the water, and it's quite warm inside, so feel free to use it, however, we don't quite allow clothes in, I'm sure you'll understand as it contaminates the water when clothes is brought into it... If you don't stay over tonight however, you needn't worry about this, however, please do try it one day, I'm sure you'd like it quite a lot."

>>Another slow sip of tea, violet eyes watching. If this were a democracy, she would have been outvoted in seconds. With only herself on the opposing side, it made matters awfully depressing. Slowly she set down the tea, sighing ever so lightly. She should have seen this coming<< I trully cannot impose on you any further. I should be gone by midnight. >>How very cinderella of her<<

Finishing up her tea, Cerise took a bite out of her cake and sandwich, and politely completed her meal before speaking, "Very well Miss Daelya, may I ask though, if your home is far?"

Alexus had finished everything and started pondering upon Daelya leaving by midnight, she did think of it a well estimated time, as her parents would probably not allow her to run about past 12, though it did make her think of Cinderella even more... Speaking quietly so that only Daelya could hear, Alexus asked in a very honest and concerned way "Yes... where is your home? I would hate for you to travel in the cloak of night where there could possibly be... others out there who wouldn't possibly be able to cherish you as a princess... If you know what I mean... ?"

As Jacey finished all of her food, she looked about the table to see most of her family done. She calmly collected the dishes before saying "I'll be in the kitchen, when the rest of you finish your food, feel free to leave it on the table, as for Dior and Cerise, just meet me in the kitchen alright?"
Walking out, she slightly bowed out of manners towards Daelya and went to do some dishes.

Smiling gently, she rested her hand upon Daelya's arm and said "Now, now, leave when ever you'd like, though do not feel as if you're burdening us, it's actually quite a joy to have you over."
Chuckling, she patted the pegasus' shoulder lightly and said "I'm going to go and make the dinner with Jacey now, and we'll send Cerise over to get you when we're through cooking. Though Cerise was still finishing up, she knew the older of the two wouldn't mind getting them when it was time.

>>She shook her head, feeling a touch of relief when no one outrightedly objected to her leaving<< I stay at the shop. >>Maybe she should one day look into getting a real house to stay at...then again, she couldn't exactly afford one. She didn't have a cent to her name. At the mention of everyone leaving, she nodded and bit into a small cake before washing it down with another delicate sip of tea. It was overall a very delicious tea time. Highly enjoyable<< Your family...is nice Miss Alexus. >>The pegasus spoke softly when they were left alone, gentle violet eyes focusing on the beautiful hybrid. She would give credit where it was due...Alexus was beautiful<<

Finishing up everything, Cerise bowed to the two and walked towards the kitchen.

Alexus nodded her head at her sister's bowing figure before turning her full attention to Daelya. A tint of red in her cheeks shown as her name was once again heard. The comment that she had made was rather nice and it made her feel something that she had never quite felt before. Her and Cerise had always been close so moments like this didn't mean anything to her, but with Daelya, everything about her seemed to make the little hybrid's heart flutter. "Thankyou Daelya, that's very kind of you... I'm glad that you like them. Mama Jacey can be a bit forceful at times, but it only stems from admiration really..." Standing up though, she smiled and held out her hand to help the wonderful pegasus up.

Forceful...yes. >>She slipped her hand into the others, allowing herself to be helped up. Soft hands...<< I can see where you inherited it from. >>Now that the others were gone...she almost felt relaxed. Almost. It was an odd sensation. One she only ever got when deeply submerged in reading<< I see how hard you are trying.

Blushing a bit at Daelya's last comment, she said "You needn't worry about me, my mother is much more so... but it's mainly because she's so beautiful that those who she does it to, don't seem to mind it... That's where Dior mama comes in and makes sure that mama Jacey behaves..." Alexus started to escort Daelya around the mansion as she made sure to keep her mind focused, though it would sometimes wander wondering why she felt so warm and tingly with a fuzziness inside as well...

A good balance. You are like Jacey. >>She nodded to herself, a blush slowly forming when she realized that Alexus hadn't let go of her hand as they walked<< Do you believe you will be with a person like Dior?

Pursing her lips, she then responded "That's a really good question actually... I haven't really thought of it myself... I used to be so sure of what I wanted in a person... Thinking about marrying someone like my mother is a bit wierd, but it's only natural I guess... But... well... to be quite honest, I don't think I could marry someone like Dior mama... She's rather pretty, just like Jacey mama, and while I'm not saying I'm not pretty... I just don't think of myself as more than what I am... Being the way I am, without god-like looks won't exactly attract anyone... especially not in that way. Mama Dior is elegant, pretty, and well... she's great at almost everything she does. I grew up as the baby and I'm not all that great at anything... so I really don't think anyone like Dior mama could ever love me like how she does Jacey mama..." Chuckling a bit, she then continued "It's a bit confusing, but that's really the only way I could put it..."
Looking down however, Alexus realized the contact their hands still made, and as she blushed, she gently let go of the others' hand.

But you are beautiful, miss Alexus. >>The female almost spoke in a shocked manner, looking at the other. How could she not see that?<< Your personality is forward, yet charming. You will find someone to love one day.

Chuckling for a bit with a tinge of pink added to her cheeks, Alexus spoke, "I'm well off, but beautiful is far to great of a word for me. I'd think rather cute than beautiful-my sister, Cerise. She's beautiful... You as well... Daelya, in fact, if I may say so without offending you, are most likely the most beautiful person that I've ever laid eyes upon..." Looking to the side to hide the warm sensation that crept to her cheeks, Alexus then said "...And it's not a matter of finding someone to love... it's merely a matter of finding one to love me... My sister is more picky than anyone, but for me... Everyone I seem to have my eyes on have either not noticed it... or... they don't wish for my supposed charmingly forward nature... Enough of me though, I'm sure that I've bored you enough... Tell me Daelya... if... you'd like that is... have you had anyone that you've loved before? ... If so, I'd be right to assume that they've claimed you right? Any man... or woman... would be an idiot not to want you... You're like Cinderella herself, mysterious, and beautiful..." Smiling calmly, she came towards a large sliding door. Opening it revealed an enormous closet of dresses, all mostly blue and colors of the sunset, however there were other varieties as well. Straight down however, a glass slipper sat alone upon a shoe rack of other shoes that seemed to be beyond compare. Pointing at it, she said "That... that there's the glass slipper... It's other half always seems to surface from time to time but we can never seem to bring them back together, it's really wierd..."

The female almost winced however, when the other mentioned how no one she ever went for returned her feelings. She was one of those anthros who had others reach for her, but never reached back. The woman wondered how many anthros she had hurt before. Slowly Daelya closed her eyes, her heart giving a painful squeeze<< I...have been loved before...but never have I loved. >>Slowly she lifted the skirt of her dress to slip a foot out of her soft blue ankle high boot. Instantly the reason came apparent of why the length of shoe. Scars, thin, faded, but shimmering white, wraped around the entirety of her ankle. The scars weren't connected all the way around and they were small, but the pegasus knew the other ankle was just the same. And her wrists<< Shall I try it? >>No argument, no fuss. She wanted it over, with limited notice to her marred ankle<<

Nodding, Alexus walked over to the shoe rack and flew to the top of it, taking the glass slipper from it's mount and bringing it towards the pegasus she spoke "I hope that one day then... you'll find someone that you wouldn't mind loving...", Alexus placed it gently on the floor beneath Daelya, and before shooting a glance to ask if it was alright, she noticed something at the corner of her eye. Taking her attention back downwards, Alexus was almost stunned to see Daelya's ankle. They seemed to have been there for a long time as they now only left almost invisible white lines, however it was apparent that something had happened. Gently tracing the palm of her hand across Daelya's calf, she let it glide to her ankle. Before placing the glass slipper on however, she whispered "How... how did this happen? ... You needn't tell me if you wish not too... but..." Looking away to the side, Alexus pondered on the many things that could have caused such scars. It was evident that though it was now just a memory, it must have been a painful one. Grimacing at the thought she barely noticed how the hand holding the ankle had gently started to linger there and massage the wounded ankle. Alexus' tendency to always be on the move had caused the slight action, however it was also brought out by the slight heartbreak that she felt. How could someone so beautiful not have someone to protect her from whatever had done this to her?"

>>She noticed. A bright blush appeared as the other touched her ankle, quickly looking away. Pain. Images flared in her minds eye with startling clarity. Her scream echoo'd in her ears<< I was loved. >>She whispered, her body beginning to tremble<< I refused to fake it back. >>Daelya lifted her foot out of Alexus' hand as her arms came around herself<< I...I got to go home now. >>With that, she all but ran from the room, leaving the glass slipper and blue boot behind<<

Watching as Dealya, ran from the room, Alexus made a motion to ask for her to wait, however it was too late. The glass slipper and shoe were left. A bit shock, a sudden realization came to her mind, if she were going to go without a shoe, wouldn't her feet be cold? There was snow outside and with little protection from it, she hated to think of Daelya freezing in the cold because of the question that she had asked. Maybe she hadn't gone far? There was a small garden in the back though, perhaps she would check there, it was a small but large place as well... It was also where they found the other half of the slipper from time to time, however whenever they used to try to bring them together, one would always seem to mysteriously vanish... Carrying the two forms of footwear, Alexus glided through the mansion and out a door in search for the pegasus. It was almost completely dark outside, save for the lights around the mansion as well as the last bits of the setting sun. She wanted to find Daelya before the cold got to her first, especially because of how cold it got at night. Making her way to the garden, she landed, and looked around one side of it. The flowers, bushes and grass was covered in snow but it was still nice and quaint. The trees were covered in snow as well, as the entire area looked like a winter wonderland. It was quite a strange garden though with many trees about, it made it difficult to even search the area that her friend was probably not in. It would have been a waste of time if it hadn't been Daelya who was missing.
