▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ζ▀▀▀▀I▀▀▀▀ζ▀▀▀▀I▀▀▀▀ț▀▀▀▀Ћ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀  As Lilith and Adrian got closer to the field a mound of a man could be seen sitting in the middle of the practice area. It was Illlo, hands on his knees with upturned palms, waiting, meditating.
"There he is Adrian!" Lilith began running toward the monk.
Illo was completely still until they stopped coming closer. He got up steadily, looking very tranquil and faced the two.
"Good of you to come. It's been too long since I've had any exercise (it had been a few hours). Let's enjoy this match." Illo bowed, hand in fist, and readied himself in a simple Wing Chun stance.
"Ok, Adrian, here we go!" Lilith said excitedly. Now we both can learn a thing or two. Of course, she meant that in a few ways. Lilith wanted to gauge Illo's strength. She'd heard from Paradox that he couldn't handle more than a small fraction of his power, but she wanted to see what the monk could do with that fraction; whether or not he was a threat.
"Ready? Go!" Lilith made the first move, coming at Illo with a low lunge. Illo vaporiously dodged the attack, his feet moving quickly to set himself in a good stance and keep his balance on track. It was a good attack in theory, but Illo saw through it. "Whoa..."
"Not bad," said Illo from the side of Lilith, "but you'll have to do better." Illo wasn't attacking back, just waiting.

Adrian Jones Adrian did his best to keep his soul linked to Lily's "I just have to wait... Now!" As Illo was standing to Lily's side he let out a flash bang of light in that direction, trying to blind or confuse him for a moment. "Lily strike now!"

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ζ▀▀▀▀I▀▀▀▀ζ▀▀▀▀I▀▀▀▀ț▀▀▀▀Ћ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Adrian, bless his heart, had also blinded Lilith with his flash grenade maneuver. Lilith took a blind stab at Illo only to get a sleeve. A good attempt. Perhaps if she could have known there would have been better results.
"Ow... Crap..." Lilith stayed rubbing her eyes for a moment, as did Illo for about the same amount of time. When it was over the two sides faced each other.
"That was a decent attack."
"Thanks! That means a lot coming from the Iron Phoenix."
"Maybe next time you will hit me," said Illo casually as he bent down to pick up the shreddings of his sleeve left torn off by the attack.
"Don't worry, Adrian, that was a good attack. That's why we're here; to learn to communicate as a team so moves like can work even better." By this time Illo had wrapped the cloth around his eyes in a blindfold.
"...Illo?"
"Yes?"
"What are you doing? Don't tell me you're going to fight like that..."
"And why not? I'm merely eliminating one of my weaknesses in order to eliminate one of your strengths." The monk said this as he put his hands back up. His hearing would be ultra-sharp now, and any attempts to blind him would be futile.
Lilith decided to test the monk. She used her ability to lift some of the dirt from the grounds, form it into a ball, and chuck it at the mystic. Illo heard the whiff of the ball through the air and intuitively swayed to the right, dodging the ball altogether. He smirked.
"Wow... How about this!" Lilith would thrust the butt of Adrian's lance down to the ground. A shockwave would literally roll out. "How 'bout this!" The purpose of the shockwave was to disrupt Illo's ability to feel vibrations in the ground through his feet (kind of like an elephant but not really lol). She would mount another charge on the monk.
Illo couldn't hear the lance coming until it was too late because of this, and suffered a cut to the face. He didn't much like fighting weapon users. Not because they were too difficult, but to the contrary,
"Good! ...But now I've got you!" Once inside their reach, it was all other. The only trick was to survive the initial assault, to push through. Illo batted Lilith's arm away, rocking her grip on Adrian. Then a barrage of five wing chun punches pelted the solar plexus of the Succubus.

Adrian Jones "Ahh! I am sorry Lily, I thought I could control it, I guess I need more practice." Adrian nodded "Right, okay, I'll try to remember that next time." He watched from inside the weapon, now feeling even more useless since his main technique was now blocked. Adrian let out a yelp as he was slammed into the ground, not even knowing he could be used that way. He closed his eyes as he saw Illo's face get cut, not wanting to see any blood. Adrian opened his eyes just in time to see Lily take five hits. "Lily!" He quickly transformed back to his human form and did the first thing that came to his mind. He threw a sloppy kick towards Illo to try and give Lily some time to recover.

He used his forehand to push a backfist toward the young weapon's face. Of course, he would stop a inch before impact, but it would sure look scary for a second.
"What's this? Is it over already?" Said Illo with a smirk. "You are brave, young Adrian," he said withdrawing his fist, "but you needn't worry. Lily is just fine, right Lily?"
Lilith, who'd taken a few steps back, was holding her hand to her stomach.
"*cough* Ye-yeah. Just fine."
"Now, again." Illo wasn't done.
"What? attack again? You've gotta be kidding. Why don't you explain how you did what you did?"
"Certainly. But first I need you to attack again... I won't hurt you. I promise." Illo felt a little foolish, but if he could help the two figure out their dynamic in battle, it would be worth a little dumbing down. He looked at Adrian and nodded.

Adrian Jones  Adrian's eyes were wide as his hand came at and stopped an inch from his face. He was shaking slightly as he quickly went over to Lily, first making sure she was okay. "O-okay, you might want to cover your eyes again." Once Lily had done so he transformed in a flash of light. "Lily, I have a feeling that you should throw me, it's just a feeling and if you're more comfortable swinging and thrusting that's okay but I feel like throwing wouldn't be such a bad idea." Adrian focused on calming down once again, matching her wavelength as much as he could.

"Hey, hey, it's ok." Lilith tried to keep Adrian calm. "...You're the boss." She couldn't help smiling at Adrian taking charge of the situation. Illo waited patiently, Lilith covered her eyes and held out a hand.
Lilith would try the same trick she did before, knowing that if she were just to throw the lance at like the mudball he would simply dodge it. So, she thrust Adrian down to the ground again to make another shockwave. Illo staggered back and repositioned his feet. Lilith launched her partner at the monk. It looked like it was about to hit, but Illo fell down before it reached him.
"Too much power?" Lilith wondered. Illo got back up as Lilith pressed the attack.
"Sometimes it is better to be defeated momentarily," he said as he swept at Lilith's feet, "and then win permanently!" Lilith couldn't get in close enough, but hopefully she could hold Illo's attention long enough for Adrian to do something.

Adrian Jones "Shoot, we missed." Suddenly Adrian stopped in midair, almost like he was stuck in a wall. "What the-" Before Adrian could even finish his thought he flew back towards Lily and Illo at an alarming speed.

 IlloIllo was schooling Lilith as something strange happened. Lilith had called for it, but Adrian had suddenly flew back... Curious.
Lilith smirked, Illo followed her eyes and whipped around to catch the lance's tip with his hands. Skin was ripped, and the tip made it to his chest making a red spot appear on his tunic a few seconds later. He handed Adrian back to Lilith. "I believe this is yours," he said with much more cockiness than the situation called for.
"Well, maybe you shouldn't underestimate us, right Adrian?" Said Lilith feeling quite good about herself. Illo evened out his stance and had begun a yoga progression.
"Maybe I shouldn't have," he said as he moved from tree to dancer. "But that won't happen again. I suppose I'll have to use some of my real power." The monk, still blindfolded, finished his yoga as a strange humming filled the air. His forehead began to glow, and a mysterious power poured out of him.
"Looks like he's done warming up. You ready Adrian?"
"Now, let's start round two." Illo charged the two with impressive speed. Lilith was ready. She took a big sweep at Illo as he came in. Illo leapt over the strike and flipped over the Succubus. Lilith knew what he was up to and used her power to create a wall of earth between the two. Illo's fist collided with the wall and shattered pieces of earth at Lilith. White this was happening Lilith took a stab through the shower of dirt.
"Heh." Illo's senses were even higher in this state, and he bobbed and weaved out of Lilith's attacks like the gong fu master he was. Lilith, undaunted, would keep pressing the attack.

Adrian Jones "R-right." Adrian was starting to feel a bit out of it. "Hey, you know some stuff about Illo, he can take a hit right?" Adrian sighed. He enjoyed using his abilities to help his partner but he'd made Illo bleed twice so far. "He seems like a nice person, I don't want to be the one that hurt him." Adrian knew he was probably worrying over nothing since Illo seemed to be fine and he was the one who invited them to spar but he couldn't help but feel bad.

Illo "You needn't worry about me my son," said Illo in his usual priestly tone. "We at the monastery kill demons for training. This is nothing but a little exercise after dinner!" As he said this the monk dipped under one of Lilith's strikes and sent a uppercut attached to a rocket to the Succubus' chin. Lilith, however, was not amused by his comment on demons. It had been bearable up until now, his piety, but now her eyes were cold obsidian flakes.
"Is that so?" she said flatly as she swayed out of the way of the punch. A blast of earth would spring up and hit Illo's back. With little time to prepare, the attack bypassed his chi gong and did some damage, enough to slow him down.
"Let's go Adrian!" Lilith spun backwards and tried to hit Illo with the broad side of Adrian.
"Not so fast!" Illo's voice could be heard a few meters behind them. He'd teleported out of danger at the last second. "It looks like you're tougher than you've been letting on, Lily... Succubus."

Adrian Jones Adrian could feel Lily's soul changing. He felt weaker compared to her and even slightly scared since it came out of no where. Adrian watched and did the best he could to focus on the fight since Illo said it was fine. When Illo moved away and called Lily a succubus Adrian was shocked and almost speachless. "Lily, what is he talking about? Demons and succubuses are just rumors. R-right?" Adrian was very scared of what might happen next. Lily seemed so nice but was she just trying to manipulate him? Was Illo going crazy? And if he was would they be able to handle one of the strongest people in the world? "Sh-should I stay in my weapon form Lily?"
