The move would do it's trick ....as the Durant would suddenly go weak in the knees as it almost drops to it's belly. Though the pokemon would recover as it looked at it's opponent and it felt it's defensive drop. It was shivering, and that surprise the steel type, because it didn't see anything to fear in this creature. That left her with only once choice ...as she would take her head and lunge towards the earth ...scooping up huge chunks of it as her opponent would tease her ...trying to lure her away.
But for the moment, her fears had the better of her, she wouldn't chase after it ....the leer had made it warier and had open up holes in her defensive because of it.
Thus, she would seek a new way to attack as she throw the sands in huge pile at her opponent ....the sands sliding off of the pincers as it seems to seek to bury as much as blind in that Sand-attack move.
The leer was doing its job as the durant had started to wobble. Is this what his trainer was aiming for? wearing down the opponent before closing in. It wasn't bad that it was working. Crocus kept on pacing, the durant had became wary and not coming after him.
Watching the pokemon scooping up sand, Theo knew it was going to do ranged attack. The chance came as pile of sands was flung toward Crocus."Now,Head Smash through"Theo instructed the attack. He saw it, the chance, the opening for attack.
Crocus charged straight toward the sand and he shot through it like bullet, aiming at the durant behind it. The sand attack didn't bother it at all as his head smash attack was repelling the sand.
The sands wouldn't manage to seep into the pokemon's eyes as it charges through it. The Durant could see that trouble was coming ....as it would prepare itself for the incoming hit by hunkering down to the ground. It's legs seeking to sink into the sand to help keep it sturdy while, the Durant would lower it's own head so that all that the Nidoran would hit would be metal. She was once more using her hide as ...the defensive to protect herself from the charging pokemon.
Afterall, it had worked one time prior, so why shouldn't it work now.

Crocus's head would collided with the Durant, but he simply bounced off from the pokemon. Landing back on his feet, he would heard the order to retreat back from the range of attack. How hard is those metal skin?Crocus was taken aback his attack didn't work. Distancing himself was a good idea, so far most of his opponent's deadliest attack was from close range.

The Durant though was pissed seriously as she felt the dull thud and took no damage. This match was taking too long, and she was hungry. Her feast stood behind her, and she needed only to turn and take a big bite of it. Though this creature was worrying her, and she was sick of it ....as she would rush forward with her mouth gaping wide.
She was using Vice Grip again, but unlike any other time before ...she was willing to chase to get ahold of him ....as she shuffles towards her opponent angrily.
she would drive him away this time, or send him into the sands. Either way, she plan to end this battle here and then.
Eventually, Sora came to the island. He stepped out from the boat and onto the sandy beach experiencing some deja vu moment. He remember how he had first encountered the Vullaby right when he had just arrived on the island.
But Sora shook his head. Now wasn't the time to reminisce. Now was the time to continue forth with the assignment he was given. He was to find a Rare Bone. He'd alright caught a second pokemon, now all he had to do was to find the bone. Sora pressed forward into the forest once more. This time with more pokemon at hand.
The durant was chasing Crocus as he made his retreat. It was going good as he broke into running. Away from the dangerous pincers. Crocus had an idea what they were doing and lure the durant as it was intent on attacking. Running ahead just out of reach, while Theo was edging toward the boat. Crocus's pokeball ready in his hand to call his pokemon back. He just needed to get himself on a boat and return Crocus to get out of this island.

Mina frowned and sighed before she thought of what she could do next. "Okay Terra dodge the attack and then prepare for another tackle attack!". Mina was getting a little frustrated but she would do what she could to win this battle and maybe catch this pokemon. She closed her eyes taking in deep breaths calming herself down.
Terra felt her trainers frustration but she knew she would do what she needed, or else they could both die. Terra pouned her hooves into the sand and spun in the sand causing it to shoot up hoping the dust cloud would help. She then ran as fast as her heavy body could to try and get out of the way.
((Oh and sorry for the very late reply, I was terribly sick.. and something happened in my family that was awful.. its kept me away for a while but I am back now.))
The young Idol stepped off the boat to find a vast land of waste in front of him. Surely there had to be a way of traversing the area without dealing with any unwanted attention from whoever roamed it. He wasn't a fan of dirtying himself up when unless absolutely needed. His feet on the sands were already warm and he pulled up a hand to cover his eyes from the afternoon sun that seemed to blaze here. This sure was some island to send new students to. Well, that wasn't his concern for now. He ventured further, hoping he'd find some sort of clue as to where Amber may be hidden. After all, wasn't that a substance emitted by trees? There wasn't any sign of those sort of things here.
A desert the stretched as far as the eye could see .....was the Puragatory ...a place that many a pokemon died, and a many a trainer never managed to cross. In this place of hot sun and dryness ...a single Numel would be shuffling along. Her eyes would lock on the passerby, and she merely rolled her eyes.
It wasn't anything uncommon, human children were being dropped here to die all the time. She had to wonder if this was some sort of ritual or just barbaric behavior.
Either way, it didn't concern her as she kept her distance, but continue to make a move across the burning sands.
(Encounters - as you already know, the front page tells you want you will encounter with each roll. There are two types of encounters you will run into here, the first is aggressive encounters ...and the second are passive. The passive encounters are encounters you chose whether to fight or let the pokemon continue on un-oppose. Depending on what you do, you can gain items or even the pokmeon without a fight.
So, to be quite frank, the second encounter depends heavily on your rping skills.)

The Trainer spotted the Pokemon easily, and originally planned to avoid it completely before realizing he could use it to figure out what was going on around the island. Seeing as how he couldn't really speak to it, he released his Emolga and informed it of what was going on. It understood the importance of what they were doing, and registered the fact the man was his Trainer. The electric flying squirrel ventured over to the Numel with a happy look on its face. Chirping away a greeting as Ai watched with a seemingly kind smile a bit further away. Normally wild Pokemon weren't keen to be close to people while they were wild and didn't want to chance screwing up a potential source of information.
"Hi! We're looking for something important. Can I ask you a question?"
The Numel would hear the pop and the see the reddish light as she groan lightly. She knew what that meant, as she rolled her eyes a bit, and decided that trying to hurry up would be in her best interest. Though a flying squirrel versus a walking Numel was no contest whatsoever as she found she had no choice but to stop again. She would roll her eyes ....again as she turn to face the Emolga.
Though, instead of a battle, she got a question for her trouble as she ponder it for a moment. Then she would reply almost instantly to those words.
(The last dead trainer is about three clicks that way)
It would seem that she already knew what the important question had to be ...as she took one foot and pointed it to right while she spoke. Then she turned and started to walk away again. There was no sense in her continuing a conversation like this, beside, she had easily given them what they wanted.
The Emolga bristled at hearing about a dead trainer. He'd have to be careful about taking care of his trainer so he didn't run across it. As the Numel began to leave, Emolga took it as she had other things to deal with rather than his frivolous questions. He called after her, but returned to his trainer's side right after.
"Th-That's not why we're here but.... thank you for the information."
As he bounded up to Ai's side, he shook his head to let the man know the Numel had no information about where to go for the brown substance. Ai sighed, and pat his leg for his Pokemon to follow along. Maybe they could ask another Pokemon if they ran across one. Surely one of them would have some information for him.
