Luka swtiched her attention to Curtis. "In these kinds of situations, the leader is almost never dead when you want him to be." She turned back to Kat and smiled. "Do we need to leave you two alone for a second?" She nodded her head towards Curtis.

"No, no... It'sss fine, I ssswear..." Her words said one thing but her tone was lacking clarity and strength. Her world was starting to get a little hazy and she could feel the pulses of everyones veins pumping the precious red life throughout their bodies.

"Well... if you really do have all the information you need," Curtis agreed. "You haven't been here long but..." he chuckled. "I can tell she's getting hungry and as a mom she does need to keep her health up."

"Right..." Luka turned, grabbed Jeff and Yakov and started to drag them towards the door. "Okay boys, outside."

Jeff was utterly confused, "Wha...?" He gasped as Luka drug him out of the cabin. He had never met a real vampire before, and since when was Kat preggers? Jeff wanted to stay and talk with her but her fangs were certainly creepy enough and he didn't understand why she couldn't just take some of her mates blood and then they could get back to the conversation.

If not for Curtis's hands on her shoulders, Kat would have followed her preditory instinct to chase and jump onto the receding prey...at least she had one left behind. He fangs were already fully extended as she twisted in his grasp and her hands reached up to his shoulders.

Luka let them go once the were a respectable distance from the house.
"Seriously, what the hell sis?"

Curtis succumbed willingly to Katra's need. He bent at the waist allowing her to bite as he gripped the back of the chair. Curtis was suddenly ashamed that he'd forgotten about his mate's needs, which he normally took care of right after work. But all that mattered now was that she was being fed. One of his hands strayed up to caress her hair.

She bit down softly and felt the warmth of the red liquid as it spilled onto her tounge. Immediatly she grew hungrier for something more. Her hands dug deep into his shoulders as she pressed her lips harder onto his neck. Finally, once she had her fill, she licked the wound and sealed it with a kiss. Then another. Soon she was leaving a trail along his collarbone.

"Alone...time...? As in everytime she needs blood they...you know, do it?" Jeff, normally having no problem talking about sex, was suddenly a little weirded out.

Luka laughed. "No, they just let it go too far this time."
Yakov looked at Jeff and shrugged. He had no idea what was going on.

"Oh..." Jeff was starting to get the idea. He looked over at Yakov and smirked. Yakov looked a little clueless. It made Jeff feel better that he was not the last one to understand something.

They hadn't tried their "post-feeding ritual" standing up yet, and Curtis wasn't quite ready to try it. Instead he bent over Katra to push the glasses out of the way to make room. Fortunately they scooted easily to the corner of the table without falling to the floor and breaking.

Yakov looked at Luka. "So are we done here then?"
Luka nodded. "Yeah...I'm going to have to do some serious thinking." She head to the car mumbling. "It had to be damn vampires."

Kat easily made her way onto the table and pulled Curtis on top of herself. Her arms wrapped tightly around his waist, as her hands slipped under his shirt on slid up his back slowly.

Jeff followed quietlly back to his car. After they all piled in he started it and backed out and onto the main road again.
"So," he spoke up after a while of silence, "you seem to know about vampires..."
