The attack would collide as the Vanillite was shoved back into the earth umm...snow as they both went down. A huge puff of white as they disappeared into a deep snow bank only for a moment as the smile left the Vanillite's face as he realized the type of scrape he was actually in as he fires his Signal Beam again. This time, at point blank range as he sought to send the squirrel back out the way it had come ...literally shooting it up and away.
This was literally about to turn into a Pokemon Brawl.
Emolga was shocked at how strong that spiraling beam of color was up close and personal. He had made a mistake, and would pay for it. His attempt at defending himself would do little against it, he was sure, but he still tried none-the-less. "Emolga! Just stand strong! I think we might have found a new addition if you can hold your own!" Ai said as he prepared a pokeball in his hand. This Ice Type was annoying, but could very well be useful if he was doing this well in a battle against Emolga. As soon as he got his chance, he'd take it for his own.

The Vanillite with that move would gain some space as he floats up from the ground. That wasn't so much fun, but since they both have seemingly calm down ...he felt a lot better as he floated in the air. He would shake himself free of snow once more, as he smirked and then outright laughed.
This was a lot of fun ...though he wasn't so sure if his opponent thought it was so much fun at this moment. Still, there was going to be no more surprises as the pokemon was on the alert for any more non-moves attacks.
Taking as hard a hit as he did, Ai saw that another good blow like that would knock him out of the running and fumbled for the potion he had received. There was no way he was going to be stupid and try to capture now. If he missed, it was over for them. Once Emolga was back up to full power, they'd take the Vanillite as their own.

Yet, a surprise still occurred as the pokemon didn't attack, but instead was healed. By the time that the Vanillite recognized what had happen it was too late to react, he could only do one thing as he open his maw wide again and the swirling beam of color would shoot forward.
He had to make up for lost time by simply causing more damage as he used Signal beam again.
[Question: capture rate is supposed to be their health right? It was 17 when the Vanillite's HP was 17, but when it was down to 9, why was its capture rate at 10?]
Emolga chirped a warning to Ai to get his attention so he could move in time as the beam of color was being charged and shot again. The boy had time to get out of the way, but the issue was Emolga's timing. For being as speedy as he was, he still couldn't make it.

(The Vanillite' s Hp startes off as 16 ...the capture roll is 1 more than their health, so even if you get them down to 1hp...it is never a roll of one that can be successful. A roll of a 1, is a fumble remember, so how can you capture a pokemon if you fumble your roll?)
(19 - 17 + 8 - 8 = 2/2 =1dmg)
Once more, the first attack would hit against the ice type pokemon. The move sinking into the depths of the pokemon as the color beam hit, and the icy pokemon laughed lightly. Though it was only a flesh wound like the first attack that had collided at the very beginning of the match.
It would seem that they were starting to go full circle again. He would look to dodge the next incoming attack.
[Ooooh okay. I never got far enough to capture a Pokemon before, so thank you for that. I must have read the HP or capture number wrong or something.]
The male Pokemon turned to his master, knowing he wished to capture the Pokemon. Ai shook his head and before gesturing to attack again. The Emolga nodded and released another Thundershock towards the Vanillite. Ai wanted to be sure his Pokeball wouldn't be wasted, so would lower its health as best he could until then.

(Sneak post ...I should be doing my homework right now. Since, I have put it off to the last minute yet again ...also, your pokemon is confused. You should be rolling 2 dice for your attacks. If the first dice is less than the second, the damage you take is equal to the differences in the dice.)
The pokemon would move away from the thundershock as he let it fly into the distances without actually hitting anything. This was a war of powers, and the Vanillite was determine he would be the most powerful ....though on second thought this was more of a trading of blows. So far, he had been winning in that category as he shot out another signal beam.
The attack once more design to put the pokemon down.
Just a bit more ...was probably the mirror thought of pokemon and trainer.
[Counter attacking a roll of 1.... I really hope I get this >.> Cuz if not, that would blow.]
Emolga chattered irritably and watched as the opponent started to charge up yet again. In that moment, he saw the perfect chance to pull a rather stupid, but possibly saving move. But, only if it worked. Ai hadn't a clue as the flying squirrel Pokemon started to dart towards the Vanillite, his fur glittering with static electricity. Diving to the side just as the colored beam came close, he released the pent-up energy held within him towards the Vanillite with full hopes to knock it out of commission... Or, at least enough to be far easier to capture.

(Wow, you managed to tie your roll. Umm...that's a hard one to call ...but, since confusion didn't outroll ...let's just call it your success)
(10 - 1 + 10 - 8 = 11dmg + Par)
The attack would collide hard against the ice pokemon. He was taken completely by surprise as his own attack was swallow up in the electric power of the flying rodent ....as the pokemon was sent once more into a snow bank. the only differences was that when he rose ....he would have a static of electricity floating from his body. The snow around him actually melting from the sheer force of it ...as the Vanillite would wavier in the air.
The pokemon was hurt big time as he tries his best to defend himself.
Emolga was ready for another attack when a Pokeball flew past his head and straight towards the Vanillite. Ai had been ready for this moment and launched it almost as soon as he saw Emolga's attack hit. All he could do now was wait for the ball to hit and stop its jiggling about on the ground to signal that the pokemon was captured. It was weak, and useless for the rest of his journey here, but it was still essential and strong to handle itself so well against his Emolga.

The pokeball would collide against the Vanillite as the pokemon would vanish inside of the pokeball. The ball hitting the ground and going still all at once ...as it would seem that this wasn't going to be a lot of shaking and rocking.
That throw, that capture was almost picture perfect, except, it had left it's impact on the Emolga as well .....as the ball rested in the snow.
Running a hand through the unbound side of his teal hair, Ai looked over to the Emolga staring at the pokeball that now held Vanillite. The new trainer walked over and picked it up, stashing it away on his belt before tapping his leg for Emolga to follow along. They had more to search for here and they didn't have time to waste on handling a new Pokemon that may or may not enjoy their company with the beating it just got. It was probably too weak to do much of anything for now. Then again, if they got into any more instances where they didn't know which way to go to reach some trees, he could always order it to lead them there. Since it lived in the area it should know where a cache would be.
