Kish'ya curled up in the sand, digging her headinto it for a moment. Not too long ago she had been talking with the prince, and now he had gone and left to his lands with his family. One paw restlessly moved the sand about while her head rest on the other. she envied him for having a family, and lions to care for, and others that cared for him.
The sand was quickly roasting her belly, but she paid no mind, deciding that she would have to get used to it eventually if she were going to live here.
Finally, she settled her active paw, placing it atop her nose in a failing attempt to keep the sun from her face. With the sun warming her back, she closed her eyes to it, though her senses were all still fully alert.

Brooke joined in with Kerai's giggles, shrugging.
'Well, they're boys, aren't they?' She shook her head, amused. 'So very tough, Brazen! Perhaps the hide off of a skinned elephant?'

"Thank you, King Rackna." The young King straightened from his bow and turned to his mother. "We will be right across the river, Mother, you can visit anytime you like."
He bowed his head to the King and Queen again, turning to the border of the Pridelands. A calico form caught his attention, the small female trying to burrow into the sand. "Kish'ya?"

Solio's eyes were suddenly averted toward the two cubs, Tay-yibah and a new, sandy-hued cub with intricate blue markings. She smiled to them both, wondering if this was the Masae that Tay-yibah had been repeated.
"Hello. Masae, correct?"
Masae nodded with a smile. "That's me." She laughed a little. "I see my reputation proceeds me." She added in a joking manner.

"Not a problem."
Rackna says, bowing his head again and bidding the family safe travels. He smiles to Elli, then playfully bats at her ear.
"Now where were we?"
He asks impishly, cocking an eyebrow.
"Ah hah hah. You're so witty, Brooke."
He rolled his eyes, a smile spreading across his face as he playfully batted at her with a paw. He was glad that the two females liked his little joke, and he beamed over at Kerai.
"Crazy? Who, me?"
He pulls an innocent face, but can only hold it a few minutes before he starts laughing to hard.

Kerai smiled alittle, then giggled, and jumped up on his back, putting her paws around his neck, continueing to giggle.

She looked up, sand in a small mound on her nose, "Eh?" she squinted against the sun at Mika, trying to decipher the form against the light. She stood, tilting her head against the sun, finally getting a clear picture. It was the desert prince. "...?"

"Are you well, little one?" The sandy King nosed her body. He liked the cub, and wanted to give her a home. She kind of reminded him of himself when he was younger.

She smiled, standing up and shaking the sand from her, "Yeah," she blushed, "Um... How are you, sir?" He flakes swished slightly with every cheery movement.

"I am leaving for my lands soon." He sat, tilting his head. "Have you decided if you are going to stay?"

"You are?" she said, ears drooping with the rest of her features. "Well, I don't know... Everyone's nice, but..." She glanced around, "Well, I haven't really met anyone, so I guess I can't judge them..." She chuckled nervously, looking back up at the king.

Time had passed since the birth of Kichea's kits, and they were finally prepared to head home. The three kits were large enough to travel on their own paws intstead of having Akin or Kichea carry them in their maw. Having said their goodbyes, the family headed back to Silver Dawn.

Brooke's jaw dropped in mock horror.
'You doubt the prowess of my wit?' She narrowed her eyes comically. She poked at Brazen's paw. 'How dare you bat your paw at me!' She rolled her eyes sarcastically and pounced at him, giggling. 'Take that pawbat back, Sunny!'
