Karin still breathed in deeply. Nothing was helping. She felt mixed tempetures go through her body. But one seemed to sytay. Hot. She felt like she was in a house that was on fire. She tried to bring full deep breaths of air, but it was hard. At times like this, a mask was pulled onto her face to help breathing. But all there was, was a emergency air tank. That would only last about two hours at the most. But where was it. Piper barked and licked his masters face. Karin could barly feel anything anymore. Her body was so hot that she felt like she was going to faint. She was felaling real nausious now, and felt like she was about to throw up. Her throat hurt, and throwing up would only make it worse. Doctors said that she had tonsolitis, a few days back. And that an opperation would be needed in her case. But she didn't want to go through with it. Maby that was the cause. But the doctors were also pzzled on how they would do this. they said that she may have strep throat. And doing to much on her throat would be bad. She may not be able to talk afterwards, and she didn't want to loose another sense as well. "It's so hot in here," she wimpered trying to kick te covers off the bed. Her dog helped her in this, useing his teeth to pull it off. She felt like she could cry, but she had no eyes to do so.

Natsuki sighe. "The powers ot. And will probably not be out of the rooms for a bit," she stated. She frowned slightly. When this happened. Powrer didn't usually come on for about another hour or so . Things could get dreadfully danjrous in other rooms, in terms of med care. The darkness only made her feal like she could sleep more. She rested her head against the wall. Moving her hand towards her forhead. she could tell easly that she was stating to get sick.

Karin groaned. but was able to mumble a couple words out. "i'll be fine, I'll survive," she said faintly. "Why is it so cold in here?" she asked horsely. she was barely able to talk. Tonsilitis, and the possible strepthroat made it that way. "Can I have something warm?" she asked as well.

Natsuki laguhed. "Yea, you'r abot right," she said with a small laugh. "But I can't. I can't sleep when it's like this. It's true that no one can get in, or out. But I know the reasons of the blackouts. Scientists let the mental patiants out. These ones have be exspiremented to see in the dark. They scream as they are the only ones aloud to walk through the halls. Thats why they lock the doors, there danjrous. They will kill whoever roams the halls. The screams and shouts of there prey is unbarible. It haappenes every two days. I can't sleep through something like that," she stated, reemmbering nearlly being killed by one.

Piper was rummaging in the dark till he found something. He brought it closer to the doctor. It was the emergency mask! This was what would help Karin! Piper barked slightly. He also wimpered. "No really I'm fine," she said to him. A large scream went down the hall. As one of the workers screamed. That worker had the unfortunate event of being caught in the halls, where she would be killed. The sccream went through Karin's head, and she to felt like screaming, she felt like she was looseing her breath.

Natsuki laughed. "Now, now, don't get recklace," she said. She also heard the sceram and just wanted ear plugs for her ear. She sat there in the dark. But then she remembered. Flash liights. They were in about four diffent cabinits in the room. She felt her wyay through the room till she came to one and opened it up. Fealing her way in there she gave a sigh of relief and turned on the flashlight, letting the light fill the room. "Well, isn't this nice," she said with a smile, searching for the other flashlights.

Karin breethed deeply through the mask. Her lungs now no longer felt so tight, but it was still slightly hard to breath. "Thanks," she said from beneath the mask but then felt the injection go into her arms. She winced slightly. As needles had hurt her. "Why do my eyes hurt so much?" she asked remembering the pain where her eyes used to be. She had obviosly forgot about what the scientist had done to her. She felt her body cool down slightly. But tiny drops of sweat still dripped down her face.

Natsuki sighed bit it turned into a small laugh. "It's for light silly. Unlike you stuborn. I need some medicine.... .well ou do to, but still. Both of us welll, you have to take it, and I need it," she said rummaging through the medicine cabinit and taking out a small bbottle of pills. A injection liqued. And then annother needle that would be usd for later. A regular blood testt was needed. His just happened to be up.

Karin losed her eyes still fealing a bit sick. But her body felt as if it was finally cooling down. Piper jumped up onto the bed beside her. Licking her face. The lights came back on only for a split seconed and turned back off again. There was another scream of pain rightout front of their door. And the screaming pain of someone trying to get in. Karin tried to move her hands up to her head. But she could barely move. She had to put up with it. The scream made her feal so scared. And she felt like she couldn't breath. "What's going on?" she asked weakly.

Natsuki sighed, bringing the meidication over to him, ingecting it into the IV and then swallowing a couple pills of her own. Terri was obviously scared, and didn't want to talk, so she just left her alone till she said something. There was a banging at their door, and Natsuki froze. It was one of her colluges trying to get inn. Screams came from her, until there was nothing. There was a scream from the beings that did this. And Natsuki just wanted to go out and wanted to save her friend. She felt scared now. There were rumors of them breaking in, even with the locks. She staggerdly made her way back to the chair and saw the lights flicker. She was bsolutly pale. "Sara," she wispered.

Karin shivered and wanteed to move so badly. She couldn't see anything and that only added to her fear of this place. There was punding on the door. and Karin tried to move to the back of her bed. But her body as to weak to move and she wanted to hide under the cocers. This was a time where she wanted to cry. But she couldn't. "I don't want to die," she wispered.


Natsuki shook her head slightly. "I would rather not think about hthat thank you very much," as the screams died down on there end. "Now please jsut lay down. If you make to much movment or exersizew with the medicine I gave you. You'll feal woozy and faint, unless you want to sleep that is," she said to him. She was glad that they had left where they were, she only hoped for the best for the other patinats and doctors.

There was more pounding on the door and it looked liky they were succeding in getting in. There was a group of them outside, pounding and ramming into the door and finnally it broke.... Karin could hear them more then ever now. She let out a terrifing scream as she tried to push her self to the back of the bed.


"Things should be alright now," she said. "If there leaving, it menas there retriting back to the labs. It means the lights are going to come back on again. Or hopefully they will. There end got there light first. But then end in which some of the patiants were such as Karins, wern't probably goin gto come on for about anothe r ten minutes. The lights flickered on there end a couple times till they stayed on. She was pale. But color started to show up in her face once the light came back on. There end was the only end that had power yet. The other ends were still dark.

One of the monstoroud beings lungedd at the doctor. Screaming with delight. Karin was able to cover her ears this time. Now she was greatful that she couldn't see anymore. There was another click of a nearby light. Just one more and they would leavce. A few of them had already started to retriet the light obviosly destroyed them. The machines around her had finally turned back on. But the lights hadn't.. Her heart rate was beating fast.

Natsuki smiled. "A waste of time huh. Well then you can wait a couple days for the next one. and try not to use your arm. The more you use it, the longer you'll be here," she said to him with a sort of sigh. Natsuki turend off the flashlights and walked into the bathroom. Washing the face. The cool water helped her. She just wanted the doors to unlock and let her out to see her friends. Maby she was still liveing. There were cases such as her self where they lived, but needed a tremendous amount of surgery.
