Woodshot nodded, not really understanding. "New Father tree..." He put a hoof on the side of the tree and put his forehead against it, sending hello to the tree. "It doesn't send back..."

"That's only because you're not a treeshaper. Dad can hear it, we can't," Tyleet said.
"I can," Vinewinder said blinking.
Redlance turned to look at Vinewinder. "You... can?" he asked.
Vine winder nods a bit and touches the tree with his hoof. a small nob forms. "It likes me," he giggled.
"Highones bless," Nightfall whispered.

"Aw...ok..." Woodshot curled up in a "corner" of the tree's hallow and tried to avoid going to sleep.

Nightwhipser woke up enough to move over to Woodshot and curl up beside him. She snuggled in, then went back to sleep.

It was useless for him to combat sleep any longer, and he curled up next to his sister and let sleep take him.

Nightfall and Redlance curled around the cubs, conversing mentally with each other, drifting off to sleep as they did so.
Tyleet smiled softly at all of them, and rested for a bit, then, come dawn she slipped out, gathered some capnuts, then returned to finish her rest for the day, planning a surprise for the cubs.

Woodshot yawned and stretched, noticing the darkness outside of the new father tree. He walked over and poked his his head out the hole, "Bright sky things...."

Skywise dropped to their branch, just outside the bole where they slept. "What are you looking at, cub?" He asked with a gentle grin.
