Kioku let Miyo go and wiped the tears out of her eyes. She looked back at her and put a hand to her face, wiping Miyos tears away as well, her mothering instincts kicking in. She gave her a small smile. "We all face hardships, yes. Still it's no reason to say that everyone you care about will be gone soon. We can't think like that, Miyo. We must think of a brighter future, like you said." She then turned her head back towards town, vaguely hearing Aris screams. She then looked back at Miyo with semi-wide eyes. "Did you hear that too?"

Miyo's head jurked up at Ari's screams. She looked to Kioku and nodded. "More than with my ears, too...We're connected by darkness, so I know what she's screaming about.... Hommunculous..." Her eyes wided at the last word.

Kiokus eyes widened too at Miyo mentioning Hummunculous. "What is she saying about them?" She asked her with concern.

Things are going to get messy. Akira grabbed Yoji and swung his up so the kid was sitting on his shoulder.

Ari had seen a lot of deaths caused in one way or another by incompetent alchemists, and all though she had a hefty amount of skill, she avoided the use of alchemy whenever possible. Akira and Yoji`s partnership and threat to Rose was testing her ability to withstand the urge. There seemed to be so much more at stake...
With her feet spread about a foot apart, her heals not touching the floor and her fists clenched she snarled at Akira, "I am not as stupid as I look. I have seen the Ourobourus on that little cretin and I will not let him complete his dark mission. I`m more dangerous than you think I am, Akira--" (Here she made a recieving gesture with her right hand)--"So give the creature. Either way you are a selfish being, why not surrender the boy and avoid your own anhilation...?"
She could feel that Miyoko was in tune with her and sensed her desire to react. She channeled through the darkness: Don`t be foolish, Miyo... take Kioku and the baby far from here. Somewhere safe...
Channeling was never easy nor a reliable source of communication but today the connection she could make seemed clearer. Maybe it was the dark cloud overhead that enabled the process, but if that was the case, then maybe the supposed source of the darkness could understand her messages of warning.
Don`t tell me where you`re going, I`ll find you...
Her eyes began to tear but she bit her lip and did not let the tears fall.

"You've lost your mind." Akira said. "Both in accusing my brother and thinking you could actually threaten me."
Things were spiraling out of control too quickly. At this rate, he would never meet with the Elric Brothers. Akira sighed and shrugged.
"Course it's also funny how you think you could ever harm me."

Yoji stuck his head out from behind Akira. "You can't even kill me. Big Brother is a much better alchemist than me too so you could never win." He stuck out his tongue.

Miyo nodded when she heard Ari's warning. "Kioku...let's not worry about it right now. I'm sure she's just over reacting to nothing. She does that a lot! We'll go meet up with her later and find out then. For now, let's go to my house. She'll find us there. Besides, I haven't seen my parents since I left! They're gonna kill me for not even mailing anything!" Miyo said with a laugh, knocking the side of her head, sticking her tongue out. "C'mon! Let's go! This way!" Miyo smiled, taking Kioku's hand and leading her towards her home on the other side of the graveyard.

Kioku gave Miyo a puzzled look and said, "Are you sure, Miyo? The Hummunculous sound like they could be very dangerous." She then shrugged and brushed it off when Miyo took her hand and started to lead her away from the graveyard and towards her house. She had a feeling that Miyo wasn't telling her everything, but thought that it might be for her and Roses own protection, so she didn't press the issue.

Miyo smiled and she knew that Kioku could guess there were pieces missing in her story. She continued towards her house. It was two stries high with its back door facing them. "This is where I grew up since I was three." The house was painted a pale yellow that didn't completely stand out against the green grass surrounding it. On the first floor, you could see in through the kitchen windows, which looked bright and cheery. However on the second floor, the windows' shades were drawn and nothing could be seen from the outside.

Kioku followed Miyo, rocking Rose gently as they walked. She looked up at her house when they got there, looking it over. "It's a very nice house, Miyo. Why are the shades closed on the second floor though?"
