It still baffles me as to why no one ever steps in to aid their comrades while they're fighting that one last balrog. Rather than stand to the side and watch their banner be trod into the mire of their own blood. neutral

Glorfindel is a good enough example not to fight a balrog, I think. That and the threat of being maimed, exploded, bleeding, being stepped on...
