Sunrise looked curiously over at the Gryffindor Table, trying to decipher why Kagura kept yanking Sirius's ear. Finally wanting to be where the action was, she picked up her silverware and dinner plate and walked over to the Gryffindor Table. She sat herself next to Lily, smiling politely.

"Sorry Lily." Sirius grabbed his smarting ear and looked over at Sunrise. "Hey Addams, decided you didn't get enough of Sirius, so needed more?" He smiled flirtingly.
Lily just rolled her eyes and glared at him. She would get him later. "Hey Sun, get bored?"

"Extremely bored," Sunrise said, ignoring Sirius's comment. "No one except Emily talks to me."

"Yeah, and she went off with Severous." Lily shrugged and took a bite of her salad.
"She what?" Sirius' head snapped up and he glared at Lily. "You mean to say that she went off with that good for nothing..." He was abruptly cut off by Lily.
"Not that way idiot. She just followed him out of the Great Hall. I have no clue if she really followed him or not." Lily rolled her eyes. Sometimes Sirius was so stupid.

"She followed Snivellous!?" Sunrise asked, not having heard Lily's later statement. She had taken a great liking to the Marauders' nickname for the slimy git.

Lily reached over and smacked Sunrise upside the head. "Don't call him that. The poor guy has enough problems without being picked on by you guys."
"Don't hit mum." Sirius kicked Lily under the table shooting her a death glare. "Snivilous is a creep that desperatly needs shampoo."

"How could you defend him? He's alway calling you and me Mudbloods!" Sunrise said angrily. "And he does need a good washing," she added as an afterthought.

Lily smacked Sunrise again. "I don't mind him calling me a mudblood. He doesn't have any friends, and if Emily wants to try befriending him I say good for her. I haven't been able to do it, but most everyone tends to like Emily, so maybe he'll open up to someone. It's just not healthy to keep your feelings all bottled up like he does."
"Evans, sometimes I don't understand you." Sirius flung a bit of crust from his pie at her with a roll of his eyes.

"Well he doesn't even talk to the Slytherins." Lily sighed. "I don't know what his deal is."
"I know his deal. He's a slimy git that desperatly needs a good beating and some shampoo." Sirius spoke angrily and stabbed his baked potatoe.

Kagura glared at him, but stayed silent. So, this boy had something in common with her. Or rather, he used to. She smiled at Lily and the others. She had friends now. But before she'd been as alone as...Severus, was it? 'Maybe I should try to befriend him.' she thought to herself.

"I've tried to befriend him, but he's just so distant." Lily gave Sirius a small kick under the table. "I think it's the combination of my being a muggle born and being in Gryffindor while he's in Slytherin. Maybe Emily will be able to help him, but I'm not sure because she's also a muggle born."
"No muggle born is going to be allowed near him, and Emily is just asking for trouble by even trying to talk to him." Sirius grumbled it. "And don't kick me Evans."
