"I hate to be the cynical b*****d in this situation, but it seems to me its either lie or never see your parents again."

"Thats what I hate about it! I only want to see them out of my own selfish desire. Twisting the reasoning in my head to tell myself that if I show up and tell them I'm their grandson and that their son was indeed straight will make them happy! But they seem to be doing fine without me or that knowledge!" Jeff was almost shouting as the tears started to pour out of his eyes.

Yakov held Jeff as tightly as possible. "I don't know what to tell you Jeff."

Jeff spent quite a while sobbing into Yakovs shoulder. He didn't want to deal with any of this right now. It was too over whelming at the moment and all he wanted to do was curl up into a ball and pretend everything was alright. Why did his mind have to bend everything and force him to feel guilty?

Yakov held onto Jeff through all of his sobbing. "I wish I knew the right thing to say to you, the thing that would make it all better, but I just don't Jeff, I just don't. All I can say is that whatever you choose, I'll be right here."

Yakov laughed throwing as much sarcasm into his voice as possible. "No, you don't."

Jeff knew he was being sarcastic but Yakov's words still stung slightly. He pulled away fro Yakovs embrace slowly and wiped a final tear away from his face. He stood and slipped on a pair of jeans and a wrinkled shirt.
"I'm going for a walk...I need to think," he said softly without making eye contact.

Yakov ran to Jeff and turned him so that they were facing each other. "Jeff...just...please...make sure you come back, okay?"

Jeff let a curve of his lips turn into a soft smile, "I'll always come back to you..." Jeff kissed Yakov gently on the cheek before heading out. He had no idea where he was going but anywhere was better than trying to figure out his feelings infront of poor Yakov. He could tell he was taking his toll on his mate. He wandered aimlessly about hte campus and edged into the forrest.

Yakov crawled back into bed. Nothing else seemed particularly apealing. He wanted to make things better for Jeff. Lord knows Jeff needed something really truely good in his life, but Yakov felt like everything he did always managed to make things worse. He started crying into Jeff's pillows.

Once Jeff was sure he was far enough away from any prieing eyes he shirked off his clothes and turned. He started off at a slow trot but quickly found himself running as fast as he could. He felt like he was running away from something but nothing was chasing him. At first. It wasn't longe before the smells of others overtook his sences. They were indeed following him, not necissaily chasing him. Thoughts of the pack that had turned Kat and the company that kidnapped her passed through Jeffs mind. He wasn't sure what to do, but then an idea sprang up. He slowed and then stopped turning around and waiting for the others to catch up.
Jeff senced the wolves surround him, they stayed hidden in the trees but he knew they were there. After a minute or two a tall blonde man emerged from the trees infront of Jeff. His blue eyes shone brightly as he sized up the wolf in front of him. Jeff had the sudden erdge to run away or shrink back from him. He smelt of death and a great number of other wolves. "Change, please. I do not wish to hurt you."
Jeff didnt believe him but knew if his plan was going to work he was going to have to corropurate. He changed and then stood infront the man waiting for him to speak. "We are looking for some dangerous wolves. One is short with long dark hair and speak with an irish accent. He is involved with a dark skinned b***h. They tried to hurt one of our pack. They are both rogue and very dangerous not only to us but to humans. We are also looking for a very tiny petite member of our pack. We need her back desperately but she was taken from us by a rather tall and vicious wolf. Have you seen any of these wolves around? Any information would be greatly apreciated."
Jeff shook his head, "No, I have not seen or even heard of any wolves by those discriptions. I've been mostly kept pent up by my late sisters husband. After she died he fell very ill and I have been doing nothing but caring for him." Jeff hoped that would explain to the them the strong smell of male on himself. His plan seemed to be working. If he could convince the racist neo nazi basterds he was straight then he could convince anyone. Out of nowhere a flash of grey pounced onto to Jeff, knocking him down to the ground. Claws and sharp teeth left a few gashes on his bare chest. But at hte sound of howling the wolf back off of him. Jeff sat up and saw the man dragging the wolf away and yelling at him in what seemed like german.
Jeff stood and winced at the pain from his new wounds. The man came back empty handed and Jeff winced inwardly at the thought of what toture the pack was going to inflict on the poor wolf. "I am greatly sorry about that. Henry has not been himself lately and he will be punished for his insolance. He didnt beleive you but I see no reason not to. If you get any information just howl and one of us will come. Anything at all with be helpful. We will leave you in peace." The man did a great job faking concern. Jeff nodded and turned. Once back in wolf form he bounded excitedly back to where his clothes were and changed back into human form before running back to his room. He was so excited! He had fooled the basterds! He couldn't wait to tell Yakov.

Yakov had managed to cry himself to sleep. Jeff's excited entrance into the room barely managed to wake him. He groggily mumbled something incoherant at Jeff and tried to rool over and go back to sleep.

Jeff was no detered by Yakovs sleeping state. He spread his arms wide with the intention of giving Yakov a rather large bear hug, but the wounds that were forgotten on his chest thought otherwise. A spasm of pain shot through Jeff and he found himself clutching at his chest down on one knee.
