This time kabuto allowed them to hold her under the water until she passed out. Then finally having her removed he told them to throw her back in with hiruma.
The door opened and the shinobi dragged in the lifeless body of Ai, throwing her to the ground and leaving. Hiruma didn't know if she was alive or dead... but he couldn't move.

Akina didn't wake until a little while later, shivering as she lay there, remembering what had happened.

Hiruma was releived when Ai woke. She was alive however she was drenched and as he had been in this room longer he had noticed that it was pretty cold in there. He wasn't quite sure what they did to her, but he knew they were doing it to get to him.

Slowly, she rolled to her other side, her hands still bound together, and looked over to him, feeling both cold and ashamed. He was OK, other then the broken arm...

Hiruma was worried about what more they could do before she broke. They still could not even talk. Even though they were alone in the room it didn't mean they weren't still listening.

Hiruma looked over to her, catching her eyes as he was sure she was still fighting aginst the enemies.
Kabuto came back in the room after Ai had been awake for a bit.
"so how is the reunion doing....its always nice to see when two teammates come back together."
Kabuto had more planned for the two of them...and he was delighted to begin working on them again.
"so who would like it first this time"
Hiruma stayed silent not wanting to give him the pleasure of knowing it bothered him.

I won't allow Hiruma to get too injured... I... feel as if it is my fault he is here in the first place... but... I can't talk...

One of the shinobi comes in with a hammer. Holding it menecingly in his hand.

She could only just lie there and watch, her eyes widening under the mask, but of course not being seen by the enemy.

Kabuto didn't really care which he said because he would probably end up having both done. As he stood there looking at hiruma he glanced over to Akina.

Watching this, Akina felt sick, knowing these men were doing this just for their reactions.
What do they really want? Why are WE here?

Hiruma sat there and staired. Not giving them the least bit of a response.
Kabuto knew he would do this so he waved for another shinobi to step forward this one with a bamboo stick in his hands.
At kabuto's command the shinobi with the hammer drove it into hiruma's knee. then as hirma leaned over in pain the other one began beating him relentlessly on the back and in the side.

Eyes just normal, hiding her emotions, she watched, unable to do anything to help him...

Hiruma's beating was helacious. they seemed to not want to stop. He could do nothing but take the blows from their weapons. From what he could tell he already had a shattered kneecap, 3 broken ribs, a broken clavical, and a concussion.
Finally kabuto halted his men. letting them stand back he walked up to hiruma.
"how was that smiley.....I don't think you are smiling any more."
Kabuto takes off the mask and throws it into the corner. Then he leaves the room, allowing Ai and hiruma to be alone.
